In the Spirit Realm, everyone is happy. Well, not necessarily happy, but they're at peace. Blue Steve and Rainbow Steve, best friends from a long time before Blue Steve's journey came to an end, have no idea where one another are. Rainbow Steve hangs out with his friends he does know in the Spirit Realm, but none of them can come close to filling the hole in his heart from Blue Steve not being there.

Eventually, they find each other, and realize their feelings they've had for one another.

But what if they aren't the only new couple that comes around?
