Well I've found myself in a conundrum haven't I? Here I am staring up the cryptid me and jess were meant to find.

I say look up not staring down because whatever this creature was is well over ten feet tall at the size of a house. A pair of sirens served as its head emitting broadcast of fake reports and the voices of those it's eaten in the past be it man or beast. Blaring the voices of the dead from it's siren head.....

Yeah that's a bloody perfect name for this thing. Siren head.

The sirens silence themselves as the siren head stares at me if it has any eyes that is and I feel the air become still and the forest falls silent as I stare down with this abomination.

Y/N:.......Don't suppose we could talk this out right?

The answer was received when the siren head reached down to grab me.

Y/N: Yeah thought so.

And then I turned tail and ran and those sirens screamed out causing evrey animal nearby to fly or run for dear life.

Y/N: OHHHH PISS!

As this thing chases me throughout the forest with surprising speed as I try to find jess one question sticks into my mind.

How...in the fucking hell...am I ment to bring this thing to slenda?

That issue could wait right now I had a more pressing matter to deal with.

Running as fast as me legs could go I run through the trail as this thing pushed past trees and remained in hot pursuit sending out fake broadcasts as a means to taunt me.

Siren head: Breaking news today at 12 we have life footage of a young man currently being pursued by the south point meadows ranger department. They say he has been caught illegally poaching a ENDANGERED SPECIES. A spokesperson for the park has come forward with an announcement promising to bring this criminal to JUSTICE.

See what I mean? A whole arse broadcast. Does it do this with evrey person it hunts?

Vaulting over logs and boulders showing caution as to not to fall on a branch or twig I find the path that separates the two trails and race down the left where jess walked. Suddenly as I run ahead siren head comes out from a pair of trees up ahead and grabs me with his fleshy metal hands and lifts me up to it's mouth.

Y/N: AGH NO BAD CRYPTID BAD TOUCH BAD TOUCH!!

Wriggling my right arm free from its grasp I take one of my throwing knife and toss it hitting a wire on its neck connecting the sirens to its body. The blade makes its mark digging into the wire causing siren head to blare alarms in pain and drop me. I didn't get injured thank god and I ran while I had the chance as redish oil spilled onto the floor and sparks emit from the wound.

Siren head: OOOOOOH NOW YOU'VE DONE IT SUNNY JIM!!

Wonderful I've pissed it off. Simply spiffing.

I kept on legging it getting as much distance from the monster as possible
and finally after running for what felt like an eternity I run into jess who was less then happy to see me.

Y/N: Jess!

Jess: Oh great what do you want? Weren't you going in a different direction?

Y/N: That doesn't matter right now love! I've found the monster we're looking for and it's not friendly!

Jess: About time.....so where is it?

On que siren head tears down the trees and roars at me playing one of the most frightening alarms I've ever heard.

Yep it's playing the esa type of nuclear alarms. It's not just pissed it's personal!

Y/N: THERE IT IS!

Jess: RUN!!

I take jess's hand and run with her she was embarrassed but she knew as much as I did we didn't stand a chance against that thing. We needed to find cover and fast because siren head was gaining on us.

Jess: WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO MAKE THAT THING THIS MAD!?

Y/N: IT MIGHT HAVE TRIED EATING AND I MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE STABBED IT IN THE NECK TO GET FREE!

Jess: OH GREAT JOB JACK!

Y/N: WELL I WASN'T GONNA LET IT EAT ME NOW WAS I!?

Jess didn't pay attention to what's ahead of her only on me and trips on a rock and falls to the floor. Siren head wastes no time and grabbed hold of her.

Y/N: Oh bollocks!

Jess: GET OFF ME YOU-

Jess groans as the monsters grip tightened and it's jaw opened ready to bite down.

Jess: NO NO NOT LIKE THIS DAMMIT!!

She tried to break free but she didn't have my type of strength and remained trapped as her death came closer and closer. Jess starts to panic and gives in to fear starting to cry and beg for help.

Jess: HELP! Y/N PLEASE HELP ME I DON'T WANNA DIE!

Suddenly siren head roars in pain and the hand holding jess futhers itself from the mouth.

What? You really didn't think I would just watch my partner get eaten did you?

Nope I was doing what a british does best!

Stabbing things!

I had climbed onto sirens heads chest and dug my wrist blades deep into the soft spots between it's flesh puncturing a part of its lungs. Siren head screams in pain as it's oil like blood trickles out dropping Jess on her right leg fracturing it and shaking me off and retreating into the woods to recover.
I recovered quickly and went over to jess.

Y/N: Bloody hell Jess are you alright?

Jess: No. I think my leg's screwed up.

Y/N: Not good let me help you.

I carefully pick Jess up and help her limp forward.

Y/N: We gotta call slenda for backup there's no way on this planet we can take that thing.

Jess: We need to find somewhere to hide.

Y/N: Most parks have a watch tower for rangers to use so there should be a tower nearby.

Jess: I hope you right.

Y/N: I hope so too.

We slowly march through the forest our guards high and ears dialed in for that bone chilling siren. A static sound is heard in the far distance signaling that siren head was far behind but he's still wandering the forest somewhere so we couldn't take anything for granted.

We enter a clearing where in the distance we saw a wooden watchtower with a flight of stairs and window for a lookout.

Jess: There it is!

Y/N: Quickly now before that lanky twat spots us.

I guide Jess up the flight of stairs and not a moment too sooner because as we entered the watchtower siren head comes wandering by. We both duck under the window seeing that it's head was tall enough to see through the window. Staying silent we wait until we hear it growl and walk away playing a distorted song.

I looked at jess who was in pain and then my phone seeing a small bar of reception and call slenda praying she would answer and thank god she did.

Slenda: Y/N report. Have you found any sign of the cryptid?

Y/N: Yeah it's here all right and it's got me and Jess hiding in a watchtower.

Slenda: It has? Are you in danger?

Y/N: Yes we are. This thing has fractured jess's leg and I've been barely able to hold it off. This thing is the size of a house slenda there's no way we can take this thing we need backup ASAP.

Slenda: Dammit why didn't I send the others with you?......Alright I'll get there as soon as I can and handle the cryptid myself. Y/N you and jess need to get out of there find your way out the park by any means necessary. Don't let it catch you got it?

Y/N: We'll try boss.

I hang up and look back at jess.

Y/N: Slenda's handling this thing now we just gotta get back to the car without it grabbing us again.

Jess: You go I'll just stay here.

Y/N: And risk you getting eaten by that thing? Sorry love not happening.

Jess: But I'll just slow you down.

Hearing none of this I pick her up and look around for a gun of some kind.

Y/N: No excuses jess we're a team so if one goes we both go if one stays we both stay and if one dies we both die.

Jess: But why would you risk yourself for me? I've been a complete jackass to you throughout the job.

Y/N: The same way I was a jackass to you when I mocked you about the glass shards in your back. Listen jess I've never had any sort of vendetta against you all I've wanted was to just work with you and get to know you. You seem like an alright person you've just held that one fight with you against me when I haven't. No matter how long you hate me for that it won't change that I will always put your wellbeing before mine because your my teammate and my family.......in a murderous fucked up way.

My little speech left jess without words and a small but noticeable blush on her face finally getting through to her. I look next to a cupboard and spot a rifle laying on the side of it and pass it to jess.

Y/N: Now what do you say you give me cover with that thing and help us get out of here?

Jess: Yeah.....don't worry I got ya.......I'm not admitting that your my friend now and only if we get out of this alive will I forgive you.

Y/N: Good enough for me.

Getting down from the watchtower we begin our long journey back to the car jess covered my back with the rifle which she carried ready for siren head should it make an appearance which I knew it would as the sirens grew closer and louder. We approached a wooden bridge that layed hovering over a river and walked across but siren head makes its presence known and charges from behind.

Y/N: Jess!?

Jess: Open wide ugly!

Jess takes aim and fires the round smacked into its siren causing it to screech and retreat.

Y/N: Nice shot Jess!

Jess: Thanks got only three more bullets though.

Y/N: Then make sure each one counts.

Minutes pass and we walk past the blood splattered camp and walked back onto the trail. Sirens blare out and the monster makes another attack.

Aiming jess fires the second shot but the monster moved it's head to the right and keeps charging. Jess shoots again this time the bullet hits the monster in the chest making it scream and once again fall back into the forest around us.

Jess: Only got one bullet left we need to get out of here now!

Y/N: Don't need to tell me twice!

We reach the entrance of the park where the car layed waiting for us.

Y/N: The car! Thank god it's still in one piece now let's get out of here!

I unlock the car with the keys and went to the door with jess still in my arms when siren head emerged from the trees.

Siren head: NOW WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR GOING!?

Y/N: Crap! Jess!?

Jess: Hold still.....

Jess fires the last round hitting its head again but this time siren head doesn't retreat it instead looks at us in fury for the wounds we gave it.

Y/N: Oh shit that's not good.

Jess: We're soo dead.

Y/N: But the least we can do is go out fighting.

The monster roars and charges at us faster then a car as me and jess brace for the inevitable.

But four black tentacles grab the monster by the arms and legs saving us at the last moment.

Y/N: Hold on.....is that who I think it is?

Jess: Boss!

Indeed it was slenda herself. Our faceless guardian angel had teleported to our aid and with God like strength picks up siren head and slams it to the ground and snaps its legs breaking both of them.

Slenda: You will not lay another hand on my associates!

The tentacles that broke siren heads legs then latched onto its neck and squeezed. Siren head grabbed the tentacles but they didn't budge displaying slenda's sheer strength as she chocked the titan out rendering it unconscious.

Slenda: Now rest.

Y/N: Bloody hell......

Jess: I know right? She's tougher then she looks.

Once the threat was neutralized slenda's attention turned to us.

Y/N: Sweetheart you have no idea how happy we are to see you.

Slenda: I don't doubt that for a moment. Are you two alright?

Jess: Got a busted leg but it should heal up so I'm good.

Y/N: Shaken and stirred but I'll live.

Slenda: I apologise for sending you two without any support. If I knew what you'd be facing-

Y/N: Don't blame yourself slenda you couldn't have known that it was a voice imitating monster with a siren for a head. All you had to work with is stories and news reports.

Jess: It's a hazard of the job for me by now don't sweat it.

Slenda: I understand and I thank you for your efforts tonight. I will give you two a much needed break.

Y/N: But what are you gonna do with siren head?

As I point towards the monster.

Jess: Siren head?

Y/N: It's the name I've given that thing it's fitting.

Slenda: I will take it to a discreet part of my forest where I can keep it contained and make it understand that we are not a threat so a situation like this never happens again.

Jess: Contain? Damn boss you sound just like-

Slenda: Jess don't you dare mention that group.

Slenda's tone grew serious and jess stopped talking.

Group? What is she talking about?

Y/N: Soooo we can just leave you to it right?

Slenda: Yes you two can return home.

Y/N: Best thing that I've heard all night. Let's bounce jess.

Jess: Say less.

Me and jess jump into the car and reverse and drive out the entrance leaving slenda with siren head.

How is she gonna control that thing?

Don't know but honestly it's not my problem.

We were now back on the road with a long journey ahead of us but unlike the way here me and jess were in a more talkative mood and on more friendly terms.

Y/N: This has been one wild night huh?

Jess: Yep. Cannot wait to hit the hay.

Y/N: You and me both sister.

We both laugh and jess smiles at me.

Jess: Hey by the way gotta thank you for saving my ass tonight would've died if you weren't with me.

Y/N: Don't sweat it jess......heh funny though cause didn't you say you don't need my help and never will?

Jess: Hahahaha fuck you.

Y/N: I was expecting that type of answer. So the whole glass shard thing is in the past?

Jess: Yeah we're cool.

Y/N: Splendid.

Jess stares at me blushing slightly.

Jesa: (You know Tina does have a point.....he is kinda cute.)

Y/N: There is ONE more thing we need to deal with before we get back.

Jess: And that is?

I point towards the trunk.

Y/N: Dead body in the trunk remember?

Jess: Oh haha that. I'm sure we can find a swamp on the way back.

Y/N: Yeah let's just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Jess puts on arm around me and rests on my shoulder as me and her continue our drive across the states with a body in the trunk that we would discard along the way.
