Ava's POV

Edmund and I had actually gotten along pretty well. After learning that he was from the past and the king of another world, it was awkward for awhile, but once it died down, Ed and I got to talking and found that we had some similarities. For one, we're both the black sheep in the family, less so for him since his and his siblings' first trip to Narnia, though, but we both still differ from our siblings in numerous ways. We also both enjoy playing chess. Ed is the only one that knows about this, however, because it would probably ruin my 'bad girl' reputation if anyone else found out. But, since we had so much in common, we spent a lot of time together.

One day, we were leaving the school when we passed Mr. Sweet's office, and he opened the door and called out to us.

"Edmund Pevensie! Ava King! Would you two come here a moment?"

Edmund and I cautiously made our way over to him, confused expressions etched on our faces.

"Yes, Mr. Sweet?" Ed approached.

"Do either of you happen to be visiting your older siblings today?" he asked.

"Um, yeah," I answered, "Why?"

"Could you tell Eddie to meet me here, in my office? I need to speak to him immediately."

"Sure, Mr. Sweet," said Edmund, letting out a small sigh of relief.

"Thank you," Mr. Sweet nodded, "You are dismissed."

Both Ed and I left the building, headed straight for Anubis House. When we reached the front door, I grabbed the knob and turned, pushing the door open and strolling through the doorway like I owned the place. I looked to my left, where the living room was, and saw every resident in the house either sitting on the couches or standing around them, as if they were in the middle of a private meeting. Perhaps they were.

Everyone stared at me as Ed crept quietly behind me, stopping when he was directly to my right and watching over my shoulder.

"So...." he trailed off, "Eddie, your dad told us he wanted to talk to you. He's in his office."

Eddie let out a small groan before pushing himself off the couch and walking out the door, closing it behind him. Everyone else in the living room glanced around at one another, seemingly unsure of what to do, until Peter and Violet turned to us.

"Get Lucy," Peter instructed.

"And Mason," Violet added.

Ed and I nodded in response and left the house in search of our other siblings. I made my way to my residence, going directly to Mason's room. I threw the door open to find Mason's roommate, Carter, flopped down on his bed, fast asleep. I casually walked over to him, grabbed his shoulders, and began shaking him.

"CARTER! WAKE UP!" I screamed.

Carter's eyes snapped open, and I immediately stopped shaking him. "What was that for?!" he gasped.

"Where's Mason?" I countered.

"I think he said he was going to visit this girl in a different residence," he replied.

I instantly thought of Lucy. "What was her name?"

"I-I don't know! Why is it so important?"

"It's not," I lied, "But I think I know who he's with. Thanks, Carter."

I sped out of the room, hearing Carter mumble a soft, "You're welcome.... I guess." The next thing I knew, I was outside my residence and headed towards Ed's and Lucy's.

Lucy's POV

Mason and I were hanging out in my room after school when there was a knock at the door.

"Lu? You in there?"

"Yes. Come on in, Ed."

Edmund opened the door and entered the room. "Mason? You're here too?"

"Um, yeah. You don't have a problem with that, do you?" Mason wondered.

"No," Ed responded, "'But Ava's looking for you."

"How do you know that?" I inquired.

"Peter sent me to get you," he told me, "And Violet sent Ava to get Mason."

Mason sighed. "No worries, Ava will probably just make my roommate, Carter, tell her where I am."

"You got that right, brother," Ava retorted as she walked through the doorway, "Now let's get going. Violet and Peter sounded kind of urgent."

We all left the building and made our way to Anubis House.

Fabian's POV

Edmund and Ava soon returned with Lucy and Mason, and we explained to them the predicament with the magic rings. However, before we planned everything, we had to wait for Eddie to return, as well. Eventually, he burst through the door, an obviously anxious look gracing his features.

"Guys," he started, "You won't believe what my dad just told me."

"What's that?" Patricia asked.

"He told me everything we need to know to get those rings."

"But how?" Violet interrogated, "And why?"

"He wanted me to help Victor and himself, but he told me not to tell any of you."

"So much for that," I chuckled.

"Exactly." Eddie found a spot on the couch next to Patricia and took a seat. "Now, here's what's happening."

Eddie proceeded to tell us everything about the meeting: it was occurring at 5 pm this evening, so we only had two hours to prepare. Victor was meeting the person selling him the rings at a coffee shop a few miles away, and Sweetie wanted Eddie to be there with him. Sweetie and Victor where going to use the power of the rings to take control of other worlds that they apparently knew existed, but wouldn't tell Eddie how.

We developed our plan. Based on what Eddie saw in his vision, he was going to help Alfie make replicas of the rings, just like Alfie had made a fake amulet when Sibuna was searching for the Mask of Anubis. Then, at the coffee shop, Eddie was going to distract Victor after he bought the rings. Ava, since we all decided she was the perfect one to do this, given how sly and quiet she could be, was going to sneak in and swap out the real rings for the replicas, while wearing gloves, of course, just in case direct contact could do something harmful. Then she was going to slip away, leaving the fakes with Victor. Once given the signal, Eddie would leave, and he, Ava, and a few others that were to accompany them, would come back to Anubis House, and we would hide the rings, while we tried to figure out what the do.

The plan was set. All that was needed was to put it into action.

Seriously, though, I did. School was canceled due to weather conditions, so I've been working on this chapter off and on throughout the day. Although, it was nice to be able to sleep in. So, the magic rings. Any other ideas on what they do? How about Sibuna's plan? Do you think it'll work? So many questions! Well, I'll leave you to ponder those....
