Honorary Members of Sibuna
Violet's POV
That night, Susan and I sneaked downstairs a little after midnight, once we knew for sure that the rest of Sibuna had already gotten into the attic. I softly knocked on Peter's door, and he opened it a few seconds later. The three of us crept back upstairs and made our way into the attic.
Patricia's POV
After we had all explained to Nina, Mick, and Amber what had happened while they were gone (as well as explaining Sibuna to Mick), Eddie addressed the actual reason as to why he had called a meeting that night.
"Guys, I had another vision," he stated.
"Wait," Amber started, "I thought you lost your powers. Doesn't that mean you shouldn't get visions anymore?"
"No, Amber, it means he's going to die next year!" Jerome exclaimed, sarcasm clearly dripping from every word.
"What?!" Amber gasped, gaping at Eddie with wide eyes. She clearly hadn't understood.
"Amber, he was being sarcastic," I told her.
"Oh...."
Nina turned us all back toward the matter at hand. "So, what does this mean?" she asked.
"Honestly," Eddie sighed, "I have no idea."
The doorknob on the basement door handle turned, and everyone looked to the door out of reflex, waiting to see who was about to walk through.
Peter's POV
Susan, Violet, and I ascended the stairs leading to the basement door. Once we reached it, I grabbed the doorknob and turned, easing the door open.
Everyone was staring at us.
"Hi," I greeted nervously. Violet groaned and pushed past me.
"Okay, we have something really important to tell you, and I can already say that it's going to be pretty shocking," she began, "Would I be correct to assume that you've all heard of The Chronicles of Narnia?" Everyone else nodded in reply. "Alright, well then, I'm surprised you haven't figured this out already, but Susan and Peter are the Susan and Peter Pevensie from The Chronicles of Narnia, and their younger siblings are Edmund and Lucy. Aslan sent them to our time, which is future for them but present for us, but wouldn't tell them why. However, he stated that they should only share this information with people they can trust, and that they would know who to trust. The only others that knew before tonight were myself and my siblings." She then went on to explain how she and Susan had overheard Victor talking on the phone about magic rings, and that we had no idea what he meant, but that we had a feeling that's what Aslan had sent my siblings and myself here for.
Sibuna (as their club was called) proceeded to tell Susan and I about everything they had done over their high school experience, as Violet already knew. Soon enough, we had joined the circle they were sitting in and frequently entered the conversation.
"So, Eddie, awhile ago you said you had a vision; do you mind telling us what it was about?" KT queried.
"Actually, it made no sense at the start of the meeting, but I think I'm beginning to understand it," Eddie answered.
"How so?" Alfie questioned.
"Magic rings," Eddie replied, glancing over at Susan and Violet. The girls' eyes went wide.
"Magic rings," Susan repeated. Eddie nodded.
"Care to elaborate?" Violet inquired.
"Okay," Eddie began, "In my vision, I was standing in front of Anubis House, and Violet came running through the front doors, and she was shouting something incomprehensible. Then, she stopped when she reached me, and she gave me these two rings. One of them was green, and the other was yellow. When she handed me the rings, I noticed that I was wearing a glove on that hand, but not the other. The same goes for Violet; she only had on gloved hand. Then, I saw Victor and my dad run out after us, and Violet looked at me, nodded, and we both grabbed the yellow ring. After that, it seemed like we were rising in the air, but then everything else is foggy. I can't remember if there was more to the vision or not."
Violet nodded slowly, a thoughtful look on her face. "Those sound like magic rings to me."
"But what do you think they do?" Amber wondered, joining in the conversation.
"I don't know," Eddie answered her.
"Maybe not," Violet started, "But we need to find out."
Nina's POV
The morning after the meeting, everyone was extremely drowsy; the meeting had lasted longer than we had planned. We were all basically about to fall asleep at breakfast, except for Alfie, who actually did fall asleep, and who's face fell into his french toast--which already had syrup on it.
Willow smacked Alfie in the back of the head. "Alfie! Wake up! Your face is in your food!"
"Huh?" Alfie awoke with a start, sitting up and revealing his face, which was covered in syrup and powered sugar.
Amber burst out laughing. "Alfie, you look ridiculous!"
Not long after, everyone else at the table was laughing and giggling at Alfie's predicament as he hurried to the kitchen to try and wash his face off. On the bright side, it appeared to wake everybody up. Just then, Victor waltzed into the room, pocket watch in hand.
"What are you all still doing at breakfast?" he interrogated, "It's nine o'clock! Have you been at breakfast for two hours?"
"Sorry, Uncle Victor," Violet piped up, her voice meek compared to her usually bold nature, "We all just seem to be kinda sleepy today. It must be in the air."
"Ah, yes," Willow added, "I'm getting some very drowsy vibes from this house."
"Well, I am in no way tired," Victor scoffed, "I expect you all to be finished and to have this table spotless in ten minutes, or you will be cleaning this entire house with toothbrushes!"
Groans and sighs escaped our mouths, but nonetheless, we followed Victor's orders, cleaning the table to perfection in the tome allotted.
Willow, Violet and I were wiping off the table when Willow spoke up.
"You know," she said, turning to Violet, "Drowsy vibes aren't really a thing, I just figured you could use some backup. Victor always seems to exit the conversation ASAP when I start talking about vibes."
Violet smiled. "Thanks."
"Of course."
Half an hour later, we were all dressed and in the loving room, devising a plan to keep Victor from getting the rings.
"First of all," Mick started, "We need to find out when he's meeting this guy."
Fabian nodded in agreement. "And when we do, we can follow him to wherever he's going."
"There's one thing I've been wondering, though," Mara explained.
"What's that?" Patricia asked her.
"Who was Victor talking to?"
Violet and Susan looked at each other quizzically, as if trying to remember.
"I think...." Violet trailed off, "I think he called the person Eric. Does anybody know an Eric?"
"Eric Sweet," Eddie breathed, "My dad."

And so the mystery continues....
So, anybody have any ideas as to what the rings do? For the record, I'm not sure exactly where I'm going with this for sure, but I do have a pretty good outline in my mind, and I already know what's going to happen next. What might that be, you ask? You'll just have to wait and see....
