The prospect seemed promising, a tangible goal within reach — until the harsh hand of fate dealt Aeliana a crushing blow. Her assigned tribute, a frail 13-year-old from District 9, bore the lowest odds of survival, casting Aeliana into the humiliating role of mentoring a child destined for the ruthless jaws of the Arena.
