Remember me
A cold feeling woke you up and you blink at the sight of a handsome man sleeping in front of you. His raven black hair stuck out messily and his cowboy hat was perched on the desk behind him. You watched his chest slowly rising and falling, like he was alive, however you knew that he was nothing more than a spirit that followed you around. His breath was visible and formed a cloud of mist as he exhaled.
You reached out to touch his face but your hand slips pass him like he wasn't even there. The coolness of his intangible skin made your heart ache. The feeling of loneliness sinking in and you felt something warm trickle down from the corner of your eye and dropped to the white bed sheets from the tip of your nose. Even though he was there you couldn't even feel his presence.
The room was soundless, the windows blocked out the noise from the early morning wakers, and you felt like you were alone in the giant room. You close your eyes and tried to go back to sleep.
The coolness of his touch made you snap your eyes open again and stare at him. He was frowning, his face full of concern as he wipes away the tears that were gently falling from your eyes. Leaning forward and closing the small space between you and him, he kissed away the tears and you felt your body shiver from his frosty lips.
It felt comforting and you start to relax, a smile ghosts your lips as he looks at you. His eyes showed an emotion that you couldn't point out but it felt soothing and made your heart flutter in your chest. There was some familiarity about those eyes but from where?
"Why are you crying?" He murmurs the question, his knuckles stroking your cheek as you sigh.
"Nothing." You reply solemnly and push yourself off the bed.
His hand falls on the pillow where you had laid your head and he sits up, staring at your back as you face the window. He could tell something was wrong but didn't want to push it if you weren't ready to talk about it yet.
A knock on the connecting door made both of you snap your heads to the sound and Ace watches you walk over and open the door to find Chopper behind it. He was smiling brightly, "Morning (Name)! I hope I didn't wake you." He tilts his head cutely and you giggle.
"I was already awake when you knocked. I'll just get showered real quick then I'll meet you all downstairs, 'kay?"
Chopper nods and you close the door. Checking the clock, it was still early and breakfast would start in an hour, so you hurried to the shower and lock the door behind you.
The warm water woke you up completely and you made sure to wash out all the suds from your hair. Opening the curtains, you looked for the towel but instead find Ace standing there, leaning against the sink as his eyes scan your naked body.
"WHAT THE HELL?! ACE GET OUTTA HERE!!" You scream, covering up the parts he shouldn't see.
Ace blinks, his expression blank, and points to the towels folded neatly on the rack above you. You grab the shower curtains and use them to hide your body as Ace sniggers at your flustered state. You reach up for one, swiftly putting it on before turning back to the ghost and puff your cheeks childishly.
"Ooh, scary." He laughs, following you out of the bathroom.
"You should have told me you were there." You hissed, furiously tossing out your clothes from your bag and decide on wearing a loose tank top and a pair of shorts.
"Ah, but then you wouldn't let me see you." He points out bluntly and you glare at him.
There were a few times that Ace would follow you to the bathroom, just to wait for you to finish since you were sick that time. He didn't want you to suddenly pass out on the cold floor.
"Don't be such a perv." You huff, slipping on your garments while using the towel to cover you since Ace was standing behind you.
"You're cute when you blush." Ace comments. His finger poked the back of your neck making you gasp.
Upon seeing your reaction to his touch, his hands started feeling your body. His fingers tracing every curve and every inch of your exposed skin, he had his face buried to the side of your neck.
It felt cold but strangely enjoyable.
Just for the heck of it he trailed soft kisses down your neck, making you gasp in shock at how cold his lips felt, his hands massaging your breasts. You bite down your lip to keep yourself from letting out any of the pleasurable sounds that wanted to escape you.
"C-Cut that out!" You stammer, your face was a blushing mess and you didn't want him to see how much this was affecting you. "I SAID CUT IT OUT, ACE!!!" You yelled, tears starting to form in your eyes.
Ace stopped when he heard your shout and he widened his eyes in shock. What the hell was he doing?!
He removed his hands from you and backed away as you throw him an angry look. "(N-Name). Shit. I'm so sorry! I didn't"
Ace held his hands in front of him like a shield as you started throwing pillows angrily. You knew that it was pointless but you had to channel out your anger in someway.
"JERK! BASTARD! PERVERT!!!" You screamed as you grabbed a remote and threw it at his head, the remote hitting the wall as it passed through him.
"(Name), I—"
"Shut up! I can't believe I was molested by a ghost!"
"M-Molested is a little—(Name), wait! (NAME)!!" He called after you as you stormed out of the room, grabbing the key before you slammed the door behind you.
You were so pissed off right now that your stomping could be heard from inside the room. Ace groaned in frustration, sliding down against the wall. "She really doesn't remember me." He sighed as he buried his face in his hands. "I should have known better..."
Picking up the remote and pillows from the floor, he placed them back where they belonged then went out of the room to find you.
