Annie lays in her beautiful casket. She is dressed in her favorite outfit, a pink sweater and her 'sexy' jeans.

Matt stands over her body, touching her hand for one last time before they lower her in to the ground where she will stay forever.

He pulls his hand back and smiles slightly at the sight of the engagement ring on her finger. He put it there earlier this morning, when none of the guests had arrived yet.

Though she is not alive, he wanted his proposal to be intimate, just the two of them.

"I love you Annie. Always and forever." Matt whispers, leaning down to kiss her cold forehead.

Matt steps away from the casket and reaches for Annie's mother's hands. She weeps in his arms as the casket is closed and lowered in to the ground carefully.

No mother should ever have to bury their daughter. No father should ever have to bury his baby girl. No man should ever have to bury his fiancé.

But here they all are.

If it was possible to die of a broken heart, Matt would be dead then times over.

He doesn't know it yet, but this will be the event that kills him.

Matt will die in ten months.

He stops eating, drinking, and eventually, breathing too.

Annie died with a gun shot to the back of the head, and two to her heart.

Matt will die weeping over Annie's picture, thinking of how both of their hearts were shattered.

Matt will visit her grave one last time before he dies. To tell Annie how much he loves her, though there are no words to accurately explain this to someone.

Matt will lie down in the dirt with her, staring up at the stars, as he and Annie did on their first date.

Matt will go home after seeing Annie's grave and he will sit at the table, his chest tightening.

His chest is tingling. He can't breathe.

He grabs at his chest and falls to the ground, whispering, "Annie, I'm coming." As he dies of a heart attack in the middle of the kitchen floor.

Matt will be buried right next to Annie.

Matt and Annie will finally get to live
happily ever after.
