Chapter Six
Aalia
I decided not to bother her, after her outbreak. Hopefully she'll be showered by noon and will have eaten too. I'll check on her then. I go downstairs and into one of the spare rooms to pray. I kind of turned one of those rooms into my personal praying room. With permission from the Martins of course. I start with a couple deep breaths to calm my body before I pray. I lay out the sacred images of my gods and start praying. Today my prayers are more about Lori then me. I whisper, "Oh dear god, give Lori strength so that she may face these accusations, so she may come out of her shell,-a.k.a her room, although I don't need to say that outloud. God will understand,- and get a therapist and be back to the happy cheery self she was a month ago. Give her a peace of mind so she doesn't have any more outbreaks and doesn't lose any important people. And give me strength too so I can do my best to help her through this time of her life, just as Sam helped me." I then take some time to tend to my thoughts.
After I finish up with my thoughts and other praying rituals. I get up. A good 30 minutes has passed by. I put away the sacred images, and get up to turn towards the kitchen. As I deter towards the kitchen table, I freeze as I look up across to the other side. I see a scene which I didn't expect to see for another good year or so. A freshly showered, freshly combed hair and a smiling Lori who's eating her breakfast that I left up in her room. Dear god, I didn't expect you to answer my prayers so quickly.
