Delta's POV

I woke to Tech shaking me. "Here, today's ration" he tells me handing me my share.

"Thanks Tech" I say taking it. I stretch as he got back to work on the scanner. I see Omega eating her's while reading a data pad. The lights flicker.

"Echo, lights cut out again. I thought you fixed it" Hunter states.

"Yeah, add it to the list" Echo tells him. He sat in the copilot chair while I go join Omega leaning against the droid. "The ship got hit hard when we fled Saleucami. Several systems have been glitching ever since. Repairs would go faster if I had some help" he states as Tech continued to work on the scanner.

"As soon as I finish building this scanner. Testing the functionality of our inhibitor chips takes precedence" Tech tells them.

"But I thought you said they were defective" Echo says.

"A theory this device will be able to prove. Besides, the ship-wide diagnostic report indicated no critical systems were compromised" Tech states. Suddenly we jolt and exit hyperspace and I grinding noise. The alarm sounds as Hunter went to the control pit.

"Getting thrown out of hyperspace. I'd say that's pretty critical, Tech" he states.

"It's not affecting life support. We're fine" Tech tells him.

"Are you kidding me?" Hunter asks him.

"The power capacitor's blown. We need to land immediately" Echo declares.

"Get ready for your first crash landing" Wrecker tells Omega and I.

"Crash?" Omega asks in alarm.

"No time for questions, strap in" I tell her pushing her into a seat. Strapping her in.

"You to Delta, strap in!" Hunter shouts. I get in the chair beside Omega and strap in. Wrecker straps in on Omega's other side. I grab her hand.

"Look at me, we'll be ok" I assure her. She nods her head with a small smile. Hunter tells us to hold on and we do so. Wrecker starts to say we're going to die and I glare at him. He starts to say we're gonna be fine. We hit the ground hard.

"Everybody alright?" Hunter asks after helping the droid up.

"Is it over?" Omega asks.

"Yeah it's over" I assure her. "We're all fine Hunter, though I think Wrecker hit his head" I state.

"I'm fine" Wrecker states. We get out of the seats and run another diagnostic. While Echo tried to radio for help.

"The storm's getting worse. It's knocking out our comms" he tells us.

"I suspect one of our capacitors sustained damage during our firefight with the regs. We won't be able to take off without replacing it" Tech explains.

I grab a data pad and do an inventory analysis. "Good news, an inventory analysis indicates we have one spare on board" I tell them. We hear grunt and thud. We turn to see Omega had dropped something.

"Is it in here?" she asks the guys. Who all stare at her. "What?" she asks confused.

"That's Crosshair's weapon kit" Hunter tells her.

"Fine. I'll say it. I kinda miss him" Wrecker admits.

"He shot you, remember?"Echo reminds him. Wrecker laughs.

"I sure do. That hurt" Wrecker states rolling his arm.

"It's worth noting the possibility that Crosshair's actions were influenced by his inhibitor chip" Tech states.

"It can do that?" Echo asks.

"That's what it was designed to do" Omega and I state.

"So, it wasn't Crosshair's fault?" Wrecker asks.

"Well..." Tech says.

"Look, debating this won't fix the ship. Right now, we need to find that capacitor and get off this rock" Hunter tells us. We find the capacitor and Tech went outside with Echo to replace the broken one. While the rest of us stay inside.

I'm trying to find out where we've landed and trying to get a com signal. Omega is playing with one of the breather masks. While Wrecker complains about his sore head. "What's wrong with you?" Hunter asks him.

"I must've hit my head in the crash like Delta said" Wrecker states. "Ow" he says holding his head. Echo and Tech come back inside.

"The capacitor's in place, but other systems are now failing" Tech states.

"Explains why I can't get a bloody signal" I grumble.

"Something's causing damage to the exterior hull" Echo tells us.

"You wanna narrow that down?" Hunter asks. And all the power goes out. We hear banging and snarling from outside. Omega and I look outside to see some type of creature. We called the goes over.

"Some kind of creature, about this big, with a long tail. It ran off with the part" Omega explains. Echo turns the screens on and confirms what she saw.

"The creature is most likely an Ordo Moon Dragon. A species that feeds on raw energy" I state remembering my studies.

"She's right" Tech agrees. "It was probably drawn to the capacitor's electric charge" he states.

"Well, that would've been good to know beforehand Delta, Tech" Echo tells us.

"You two get those other systems online, Delta help them. Wrecker, stay here. I'll go after the dragon and get our part back" Hunter orders.

"I'm fine" Wrecker argues.

"You're staying here" Hunter tells him.

"I'll go with you" Omega states.

"No, that thing could be dangerous" Hunter states.

"It's not according to the reports on it" I tell him.

"I'm part of this squad now too, right?" Omega asks him. He relents and lets her go with him. Telling her to stay close. Tech, Echo and I got to work on the other down systems. While Wrecker did his own thing.

We were done with the other systems by the time Hunter and Omega returned. We put the capacitor back where it belonged and took off. Once we reached space, we reentered hyperspace. "Systems are up and running" Tech states.

"Yeah, took you long enough" Wrecker states as he reappears. Omega and I are sharing a seat. Echo asks Wrecker where he had been. "Hey kids, come with me" he tells us ignoring Echo. "Cover your eyes" he adds and we do so. He guides us through the ship. "Ok open them" he tells us and we do so. "Ha ha, check it out" he states gesturing to a room up a ladder.

Omega and I climbed the ladder. And entered the room. It was small, but comfortable. "It's your own room. Well, what do you think? I thought this place could feel more like a home" he states.

"It's perfect" Omega tells him as I look out the window with a smile. "Thank you Wrecker" we say together.

"Oh, uh, it was nothing" he says bashful.

"We never had our own room before" I state as Omega sits down hugging Wrecker's toy.

"Well you both are apart of this squad now too" Hunter tells us. We smile. They leave us alone to get used to our new room. Omega tells me about her hunt for the dragon. And we soon fell asleep laying beside each other in our new room.
