"Come out and face me like the witch you are!" Greyback shouted into the small cottage, the rest of his pack snarling in the background. Greyback entered the small one-room cottage, there was his target in the centre, that was all he could see, the rest of the pack scanning the room.

Just as he was about to pounce, he caught sight of someone that caused him and his whole pack to stop in their movements. With the target, Tonks, long forgotten in their minds, they all just stared at the whimpering man in the corner.

"Ugh, I can't believe I married you as Dumbledore said! What use is a scared all the damn time werewolf?! You should have been killed instead!" Tonks shouted at the man, who just whimpered more and curled up tighter, firmly pressed into the wall, his face covered by his shaking hands.

Greyback's head swung around, "You dare forcefully marry a werewolf, away from a pack at that, who is also an omega to put things worse?!! No words describe the horrible deed that you and Dumbledore have done! Black! Potter... Don't pretend that I don't know... Collect her for later."

From the crowd and from one of the other corners, Sirius, who was not dead and Harry stepped forwards and grabbed her by both arms. The two of them dragged her away, missing the amazed look of the curled man.

Greyback slowly approached the man, "What is your name?" He asked him softly.

"Remus... L...Lupin. Sir..." He shakily replied.

"Well, Remus Lupin, I'm going to take you away from this place and the horrible woman that has forcefully married to you, you are going to join my pack as our needed omega... You did know you were an omega correct?" Greyback asked him worried.

"N...No Sir, I did not know I am an o...omega. What is an omega, Sir?" He whimpered back.

Greyback's eyes softened at the scared omega that sat before him. "An omega is a wolf that every wolf pack has, they look after the pups and no wolf has the ability to attack or get angry when one is around... They are often married to the Alpha as well. Lupin, you are an omega. Do you want to join my pack?" He whispered gently.

"Yes Sir, I would love to join your pack! But, Dumbledore said that you would attack a weak werewolf, is that c...correct, I don't want it to happen to me!" Remus replied, his shakes disappearing as he smelt Tonk's scent leave the area.

"Oh you poor thing, we would never attack another wolf just because they are weaker, especially an omega... Come here, let's get you home." Greyback replied, before picking him up in his arms, lifting him like he was as light as a feather.

Remus cuddled slightly into Greyback's chest as he felt the strong arms wrap around his chest. The arms felt strong and reassured him that he was finally in safe hands. Dumbledore can't manipulate his life anymore.

Settling in was full of surprises, especially when someone knocked on his door, to then take him down to breakfast. What followed was a lot of dignified - definitely was not dignified - squeaks as he fell out of bed in his hurry to get ready to leave for breakfast.

When Remus and the other wolf entered the breakfast room, there was a pair of wolves fighting over something they did not know about.

"Boys! Why are you fighting!" The wolf that had collected Remus shouted at the pair, their fight slowed slightly, but their growls increased in strength.

Remus heard himself whimper and the two fighting wolves stopped fighting and dropped their heads down, stating their sorries clearly to him.

Remus was lead to his seat when he got there, he just stared at his food, "Why did they stop fighting when I whimpered?" He asked the wolf that was sat next to him, Susie, he remembered.

"All wolves cannot fight when an omega is nearby and when one whimpers because of it, they stop fighting immediately and will feel very guilty, stating their sorries, as they did just then. Now, eat your breakfast, if you don't, then they will take it as a sign that they are not forgiven." She replied to him. When he heard that, Remus quickly started to eat, noticing out of the corner of his eye that the two wolves had sagged with release when they saw him start to eat.

"Lupin? Are you done, I'm here to take you to your job? You are looking after the pups, may the odds ever be in your favour with those little ones." Susie asked him. Remus nodded before he went to pick up his plate to wash it, "Oh no you don't do that, let me do that for you, an omega does not have to do that." Susie butted in before taking his plate and washing it, before leading the way.

When Remus finally got back, he was shattered, who knew that doing such minimal things would cause him to be so tired? Most things were done for him, all he did was eat and be with the pups, no matter how energetic they are, they should not tire him this much, should they? It was never like this before, maybe this is what comes with becoming an omega for a pack? Who knows, who cares, he certainly did not.

The next morning was different then the rest, for the past few months Susie had been the one to wake him up and take him to where he needed to be. This time, Potter was the one to pick him up. (In the pack they call each other by the surnames, Susie is her last name)

"Lupin! You ready?!" Potter shouted, knocking harshly on the door, causing Remus to fall onto the floor again, just like his first morning in the pack. "Lupin! Hurry up!" He shouted.

Remus hurried around trying to get ready when he heard him banging harshly on the door again. Thanks to the omega instincts - that had appeared slowly - this noise caused him to whimper in fright.

"Lupin, I'm so so sorry, I did not mean to frighten you," Potter begged him.

"Potter! What is the meaning of this!" He heard Susie shout.

"I...I...I got to go!" He heard Potter shout before he sprinted away.

Susie entered the room slowly and was met by Remus clutching a top to him, he was still in his Pj and he was shaking slightly. "Oh, Remus... Come here." She whispered to him, opening her arms out wide, she used his first name to try and calm him quicker. Remus quickly flung himself into her arms, gripping onto her like the world depended on it, his shakes turning into sobs. "Oh, little one, you did nothing wrong, he was just being an idiot, I bet you would be allowed to go around in PJs, especially after Alpha hears about this. Would you like to be in PJs?" She asked him softly, thanks to his decreasing height, as his full omega comes through, his hight has started to shrink, her head rested against him in a reassuring way as she rubbed his back comfortingly.

Remus nodded slowly, bringing his fluffy arm to his eyes and drying them. He quickly hurried out of her arm's before putting away the top and making sure the fluffy silk PJs, that he had got when his grandmother passed away so long ago, where clean, before getting fully ready. Just as quick as he was gone he was straight back, gripping onto Susie again.

The pair slowly headed to breakfast, Remus hiding behind her, the mornings wake up call still fresh in his mind.

"Lupin? What has happened?" Remus heard Greyback ask him.

"I...I had a nasty wake up... Potter thought it would be nice to wake me up and make me hurry and bang on the door. It's left me a little shook Alpha." Remus replied, shrinking into Susie a little.

"Ah, ok, he shall be dealt with appropriately, now, you are free to stay in your PJs all you wish," Greyback replied calmly, keeping his inner anger at bay so not to shake Remus up anymore then he already is.

Susie smiled softly down at Remus, his soft eyes staring back up at her, reminding her of an innocent pup. "See, I said that he would be ok with it, now, let's get you some food ay?" Her eyes twinkled in amusement as Remus' head nodded quickly before he blushed a deep red at the way he had just reacted then even deeper when his stomach growled. "Well, guess we should give the little wolf some food then!"

Breakfast was uneventful, nothing happened, only eating, Remus having Lucky Charms, as he wanted some luck and Susie having some porridge, no real reason except she wanted it. Now, when it came to going to their jobs, it went a little different.

Remus clung to Susie's arm, his head shaking viciously as she went to leave to go to her job. "No... No... Don't go, stay... Not today!" Remus said quickly.

"Ok. Ok. I will stay." Susie said quickly, reassuring him, her smile never leaving her face. Remus smiled at her brightly, before pulling her over to the second door where all the pups where being dropped off at.

The rest of the morning was spent with the two playing with the pups. Someone had come round and saw Susie with him, and after he remembered what had happened that morning, went off to work and informed their boss as what had happened and that Susie would not be in as such.

Time quickly came around to lunch, when the pair of them made their way over to the eating hall before ordering some chicken noodles with chicken chunks in it. Everyone knew, especially the chefs, that it was easily Remus' favourite lunch, so it was made to make him feel better, it certainly worked because the moment he walked in and saw what lunch was his smile lit up the room.

Seeing this smile, everyone one else's faces glowed slightly with a smile on theirs. Lupin almost skipped over to the non-existent queue to get his food. When he sat down with it he was lost to a world of his own, munching away at the food. Susie, along with many others held in a laugh at this little display, happy that he was enjoying himself after what happened in the morning. Something that they all refuse to emit is that many of them saw him almost as their own, as such got very defensive when it came to be around him.

"You good?" Susie asked, causing Lupin to jump straight out of his skin... Metaphorically that is.

"Yeah!" He replied enthusiastically, before continuing to eat his food.

They all smiled softly at the happy omega. They all knew about what he has had to deal with all his life, so they all strived to make everything around him be at its best. Even the most misbehaving pups and wolves would not disrupt this, enjoying the look Lupin had when he had a good day, they strived for this every day.

And it worked. Each day was big and brighter than before, Potter calmed. Susie stayed with Lupin, making it her job to make the small omega smile every minute of the day. It all worked out for him.

The little omega in hiding had a loving and caring pack. A big family to call his own.
