Swords clashed together as Frisk and the Player fought. All around them, the battle seemed to slow down. Distantly, she could see her mother flinging fireballs. Chara and Asriel fought back to back. And G, fighting Fuku Fire with cool anger.

A sudden kick flung her back.

Frisk hit the ground with a grunt. If they could, she was sure the Player would've smirked.

"Goodbye, Frisk Dreemurr, daughter of Life."

As the sword slammed through her chest, she made a choice.

G, I choose you...

Her fingers flexed, summoning the button.

The universe turned, spinning fast as time rewound. People came back to life and the time before birth. Souls spun in the Underworld.

And Frisk woke up.

Green grass met her. She groaned as she stood up, looking around. She sat in her mother's garden, blooming bad beautiful.

She turned.

G stood there, dressed in black robes. Frisk smiled, getting to her feet.

She walked to him, careful to avoid roots.

The two lovers embraced.

"You chose me."

"Of course. I love you. If you will still have me?"

He chuckled, kissing her. "Forever and always, my love."

That year, Life mourned. But Death rejoiced, in his wife's life. In the spring, Mercy would ascend to her mother.

But immortality and the changing seasons made sure she always came back.
