"they're taking all their sweet time..." renjun declared, glancing at his watch before flicking his eyes back on the road.
"as if they did it on purpose." jaemin scoffed. "they just had to wait long to find a driver that would take all three of them."
renjun rolled his eyes at jaemin's intervention. it was truly impossible for both of them to have a normal conversation.
next to them, chenle and jisung were waiting patiently.
they had arrived almost half an hour earlier.
"i hope everything is going well in the car." jisung stated, eying the many cars that passed by.
"why wouldn't it?" chenle raised a brow.
"because mark and jeno aren't the best of friends." jisung told.
"you know, those two aren't the best of friends either, but the ride went well." chenle said as he and jisung turned around to see jaemin and renjun arguing about something.
"yeah, but they aren't zeus and hades' progenitures." jisung pointed out.
"i had forgotten about that." chenle gasped. "poor driver. having to deal with the sons of the two most powerful gods..."
"hey!" jisung hit chenle's shoulder. "my father is as powerful as zeus or hades."
before chenle could argue further, a white car stopped in front of them, and mark, donghyuck and jeno got out of the backseat after thanking their hosts.
"finally!" jisung exclaimed.
"how was the ride?" chenle asked with a bright smile.
"shitty." both mark and jeno answered.
"great." jisung rolled his eyes.
"so, now that everybody is here, i suggest that we go and catch our plane?" renjun inquired, making the others nod.
the seven boys headed inside the airport, looking around to search for the demigod's airline that chenle had talked about.
"where is it?" mark huffed in annoyance.
"how could i know?" chenle replied on the same tone.
"guys, let's stay calm and try to find it together." renjun tried easing the situation a bit.
"how diplomatic of you, huang." jaemin rolled his eyes.
"you're not helping, na. you never are." renjun tackled back.
"huh... sorry to interrupt, but i think it's written 'olympus airlines' in greek there."
the six boys turned towards donghyuck who was pointing at a small door hidden behind a counter. and effectively, the greek letters composed the words 'olympus airlines'.
"let's go." jeno declared, taking donghyuck's hand in his as the boys followed them.
chenle eventually took the lead, stepping in front of the other boys and leaning over the counter to catch the attention of the lady that was there.
"how can i help you?" the lady asked, lifting her head and having an eye-contact with chenle as her eyes became lime green for a second, just like a snake's. this was enough for chenle to confirm that they were at the right place.
"my friends and i are on a mission for the half-blood camp. we need to take a plane and fly to tokyo."
the lady looked carefully at the seven boys, her stare lingering a bit longer on donghyuck.
jeno and mark noticed it, both of them stepping in front of him to hide him from the snake-eyed lady, making her chuckle.
"you can pass. you'll find everything you need on the other side of this door." she said, smiling at chenle again.
"thank you."
chenle, followed by his six friends, walked behind the counter and to the mysterious door leading directly to olympus airlines.
donghyuck couldn't help but glance at the strange lady when he passed behind the counter, and he almost gasped when he realised that she had two snakes' tails instead of her legs.
"j-jeno...?" donghyuck tugged on jeno's arm worriedly.
"yes?" zeus' son answered.
"w-why does she have snakes on her legs?" he asked, still shocked by what he had seen.
"she's a gigante, they are humans with snakes instead of legs." jeno explained.
"but why was she here?"
jeno wrapped his arm around donghyuck's trembling body to calm him down. "people from the mythological world are everywhere around the world. they're here to help the other mythological creatures. you are never alone in this world. there will always be someone here to help you. so, stop worrying, everything will be okay."

"i sit next to him."
"no, i sit next to him."
"i said it first."
"i'm his protector."
renjun sighed, seeing mark and jeno fighting over who would sit next to donghyuck in the plane.
it seemed like it was something usual for them, to fight – just like their fathers.
"guys, stop arguing, please." renjun rolled his eyes, placing his bag on one of the plane's seats.
"i will once he'll accept that i sit next to donghyuck." jeno spat.
"never in your wildest dreams."
as the verbal fight started again, jisung, chenle and donghyuck entered the plane, talking about random subjects, and completely oblivious about the fight that was taking place.
they were followed closely by jaemin who walked to jeno as soon as the boy came in view.
"thunderbolt!" jaemin exclaimed, catching both jeno and mark's attention.
"are you talking to me?" jeno raised a brow quizzically.
"who else?" jaemin replied with a sneaky grin.
"i have a name, you know?"
jaemin shrugged. "i prefer thunderbolt."
"what did you want?" jeno rolled his eyes.
"you."
"i thought ares' sons were lustful for blood, not for dicks." mark stated unphased as jeno choked on his saliva.
"we're just lustful." jaemin replied simply, passing his hand through his dark hair, showing his biceps shamelessly. "but i wasn't implying that i wanted jeno sexually speaking there. i just want him to sit with me during the flight." he continued. "even if i wouldn't mind actually having him..."
"can you shut your filthy mouth, na?!" renjun yelled. "i don't want to hear your disgusting remarks."
"you're not part of the discussion, huang." jaemin replied on the same tone before facing a blushing-red jeno again. "so, come with me?"
"i-i'm sorry. i have to sit with donghyuck." jeno replied quickly.
"huh, huh..." jaemin shook his head, dangerously approaching jeno.
ares' son leaned against jeno's side, placing one of his hands on his neck to approach jeno's face from his and whisper in his ear, his lips brushing against his skin teasingly.
"i thought we had made a deal, thunderbolt." jaemin whispered. "and i expect you to respect it."
jeno pushed jaemin away, remembering that he had promised to be under the boy's commands in exchange of him coming to the quest with them.
did he regret this decision now? yeah.
"donghyuck wanted to sit with me." jeno said after a cough. "i can't leave him alone."
"let me ask him then!" jaemin happily exclaimed before turning towards the forbidden child. "donghyuck! jeno wanted to know if you minded sitting with mark for the flight?"
donghyuck's eyes widened for a second, looking behind jaemin to stare at jeno and mark who were standing side by side.
"jeno is letting me sit with mark?" donghyuck asked bewildered.
"yeah."
"of course, i'd love to sit with mark!" donghyuck happily nodded.
"see." mark told, nudging jeno's side.
"shut the fuck up before i send you a high-voltage discharge." jeno warned, making mark snort.
"come with me, thunderbolt?" jaemin asked with the widest grin jeno had seen him with.
"yeah..."

"we're almost there!" chenle exclaimed, gluing his face to the plane's window only to see the beautiful landscape of tokyo appearing underneath them.
"shh, don't be so loud. donghyuck is sleeping." jisung hushed him, pointing at something.
chenle turned around, seeing donghyuck sleeping soundly with his head resting on mark's shoulder as the boy he was sleeping on watched something on the plane's tv.
"god, he's so beautiful..." chenle let out, looking carefully at donghyuck's peaceful face.
it's as if something lit up inside jisung's chest, making him rise to his feet immediately and walk next to chenle.
"do you like him?" he immediatel asked, his chest hurting at the words leaving his mouth.
"donghyuck?" chenle raised a brow.
"yeah. you said he was beautiful."
"he's the son of aphrodite." chenle rolled his eyes. "what did you expect? for him to look ugly?"
"no, it's just... i don't know..." jisung shook his head. "i imagined you could like him."
"and what if i did?" chenle asked, looking at jisung with a brow raised.
jisung gulped the lump forming in his throat at the words his best friend had just pronounced.
he couldn't even imagine how devasted he would be if chenle did have feelings for doghyuck.
"c-cool man." jisung answered awkwardly, trying to push the images off his mind.
"cool?" chenle repeated.
"well, it's good for you." jisung explained further. "but he's hard to get, so i'm not sure you'll be able to get him..." he added, trying to reassure himself.
"how supportive from my best friend." chenle scoffed before walking back to their seats because they were about to land.
"yeah... best friend..." jisugn repeated, his eyes staying a bit longer on donghyuck before heading to his own seat.
he really hoped that chenle hadn't developed feelings for donghyuck, otherwise, he would lose chenle completely. and that was the last thing he wanted.
