Artemis POV
By the time we made it to the cells that would be holding Nancy the paralysis had worn off and we could now hear her screams as we walked down the hall to her cell.

"Snowflake slow down!" Aaron called after me as he grabbed my arm making me stop.

He backed me into the wall and put his forehead on mine as his thumb rubbed circles into my arm.

"You promised you'd take it easy. You're burning up, Doll." He said softly.

"I can't just do nothing Aaron you saw what she did to Apollo. If we were one minute later he'd be-"

"I know, I know but you saved him. We made it in time. Why don't you go and rest with him. He'd probably appreciate seeing you when he wakes up. I can do the interrogation myself you know?" He said cupping my cheek soothing away the heat coating my body.

"I know you can. But I can't do anything for Apollo I can't just sit there and wait. If this lady has information about tonight's events we need to find out. And if you don't mind I'd like to be there when you do. And besides.... it doesn't feel right leaving your side right now." I said softly.

He smiled gently.

"Okay I understand. Let's go and see what we can get out of her and then get some rest. I can stay with you tonight if you want."

I nodded my head.

He pushed my hair back and laid a kiss on my forehead making me smile.

We continued walking and now stood in front of her cell.

"Alright you're good cop, I'm bad cop got it?" I said taking a deep breath.

"Why can't I be bad cop?" He asked curiously.

"Bub I really don't have time to go down that list. Just follow my lead." With that I had the guard unlock the cell.

"You bitch! Let me go!! I need to get back!" Nancy screamed hysterically.

Her arms were chained up on either side of the walls will she sat on the ground. 

"You and I both know what's gonna happen to you if you leave these walls they'll kill you Nancy." I said walking further into the cell.

"You're better off here with us." Aaron said standing at my side.

"Bullshit! I want nothing more to do with this cursed pack!"

"Yeah well it's too bad you decided to mess with the people we care about." I walked closer to her and pulled her hair back making her look up at me making the light hit her face perfectly so I could see everything wrinkle dirt and grim on her face and the hatred in her eyes. She would never join us. Not after what she did to Apollo.

"Tell us the rouges plans." I said coldly pulling her hair tighter as she laughed through the pain.

"You're already too late. They know everything. Soon you will all bow to a new werewolf royalty. All hail Hera!" She said before closing her eyes.

She opened her mouth again only for smoke to begin coming out.

"Shit Snow!" Aaron grabbed me and dragged me out of the room and slammed the door. I looked through the window of the cell and watched as Nancy jolted on the ground. I slammed my hand on the door.

"Fuck! She's dead! She's dead and we have nothing!" I yelled beginning to pace the hall.

I turned back to Aaron who was staring at the window of the room. We could still hear her as she continued to scream as she slowly died. Looking back at Aaron it seemed like he couldn't take his eyes off of the dying witch.

I step in front of him and cup his cheeks and shift his head down to me instead.

"Hey Love you don't have to watch just look at me okay? We couldn't have stopped her from doing that. It's not anyone's fault." I said softly.

He placed his hand on top of mine and pushed his cheek into my hand lovingly.

"You think she deserved it? For Apollo and the kids?"

I shook my head.

"No. I don't think she deserved death. I do think she took the easy way out though. She was loyal to this idea until death and that I applaud her on but she died not being able to see it all come crumbling down when we take down those bastards" I said with a smirk.

He chuckled and fell into my chest wrapping his arms around me tightly and let out a breath.

"Todays been crazy. We deserve hot chocolate and cuddles."

"I agree but I don't think I'll be able to sleep." I hummed into his chest.

"Okay how about we spend the night at the hospital?"

"Aaron you don't have to do that-"

"Snowflake I want to. Plus there's no way I'm letting you out of my sight while you're still in heat." He said sternly.

"What about the pack, its still a mess out there, you can't stay with me-"

He pushes me against the door of the cell and came close to my ear.

"I'm tired of you pushing me away. You are my Mate. The pack will be fine knowing I'm taking care of their future Luna." He whispers into my ear as he begins smelling down my neck making my body shiver.

"Aaron we can't I-"

He kisses down my neck and when he reaches where his mark will go he begins to suck on my heated skin making my knees go weak. He catches me wrapping his arm around my waist and pushing our bodies together. He finishes and I'm sure the skin is bruised purple he licks the spot making me moan.

He comes up so we're face to face his eyes are full of lust and desire. He takes his free hand and grabs my hair from the back and pulls my head closer to him. Our lips are so close...

"P-please" I say.

"Please what? Tell me what you want Snowflake." He says as his leg pushes between my thighs.

"K-kiss me, please." I whisper.

He leans in and kisses the side of my mouth softly.

"Not like this...Because I won't stop with just a kiss. I'll have you begging for more than just a kiss my Love. And this..." He says kissing the hickey on my neck, making me whimper, he chucks deeply at my reaction. "Will be replaced with our mark. I'll have you make all of these pretty noises with my touches. I'll make you feel appreciated . I'll make you feel beautiful. I'll make you feel strong. And most importantly I'll make you feel loved." He looks me in my teary eyes as I feel a tear run down my cheek. He kisses it away.

"Because you Artemis deserve to be loved...every... single...inch...of...you" He says laying a kiss on my face after each word. 

"Make me believe that" I say softly.

"I will. You just have to let me." He lets me go slowly and steps back and holds out his hand.

"Shall we?" he asks giving me a boyish grin.

I nod and take his hand.

We made a stop at the pack house and grabbed a change of clothes. The house lacked its usual chaos and chatter and made me want to leave its hollowness as soon as possible. Surprisingly enough Dobby hopped into my overnight bag and curled himself into the blankets that resided in the bag, I decided not to fight it and just bring him along. Grabbing his bag as well with his food and toys.

When we entered Apollo's hospital room Serena was beside his bed holding his hand and struggling to keep her eyes open it seemed. Athena sat in the corner tapping quickly on her computer still wearing her dress from the ball but had Ezras suit jacket around her shoulders. Ezra squeezed his way in between us at the door and came in with two cups that smelled like coffee he put one of the cups right in Athenas eye sight making her look up from her screen and give him a smile. Once she saw us she quick moved her things onto the desk beside her.

"What happened did she talk?" She said waking Serena up fully.

I shook my head.

"Look I brought you guys a change of clothes-" I said reaching into my bag.

"I don't care about clothes Artemis what happened!?"

I sighed.

"She killed herself before we could get anything out of her. Her last words were "All hail Hera""

"Shit!" She said throwing off Ezra's jacket.

"Athena calm down." I said softly.

"No Artemis I don't want to calm down! I want us to be safe! I want you to be happy! I want my big brother to be awake and telling me everythings gonna be alright, but he can't because he wanted to play hero!" She yelled as tears began streaming down her cheeks.

Ezra hover around her looking like he was unsure what to do. I sighed.

"Are you done?" I asked blandly.

"Oh fuck you... Yes." She laughed whipping away her tears.

"Athena I'm not Apollo but everything's gonna be alright-"

"But-" She began.

"You said you were done so let me speak. Everything will be alright because I said it will point blank period. If you want a whole sappy speech you can wait for Apollo to wake up. Go and change your clothes and then go to sleep. That means pour out the coffee and turn off the computer, it's been a long day." I said sternly.

"Tsk you could at least try and be more sympathetic considering you're the one that started this whole thing in the first place. Why'd you in come back if-" Ezra began only to be cut off by Aaron's growl.

"Ez it's fine she can't help it." Athena said as she snatched the clothes from my hands.

"Come on" Athena said as she walked out of the room. Ezra slowly trailed after her glaring at us as he passed.

Once the door shut I went and pulled up a chair to the other side of Apollos bed and sat down.

"I'm sure she didn't mean it." Serena said softly.

I chuckled a bit as I pushed back some of Apollos curls on his forehead. Relieved to feel only a slight fever that I slowly worked away to ease any discomfort.

"She was only telling the truth. We're connected. Apollo and I. So when he's like this...I feel numb like he took most of my emotions with him. He's always been my light while I've always been darkness." I said smiling at his still frame sadly.

"Well that can't be true because you light up my day every time I see you Darlin." Aaron said coming behind me and kissing my cheek obnoxiously making me smile.

"There's that smile. You can drop the cloak on your scent. I've got mated pack members guarding this whole place even outside our door. And I promise not to do anything. If you need to drop the barrier I'll have guards go and surround the pack instead. I can-" Aaron rambled.

"Okay. I'll stop shielding my scent but I'll continue protecting the pack." I said standing up. "Now sit down" I said pointing to the chair I was just in.

Once Aaron sat down I was able to curl up in his lap as he wrapped his arms around me instantly easing some of the heat that seemed to be consuming my body.

Dobby popped out of the travel bag and curled up between Apollo and Serena letting her pet his fur as he purred.

After a while Athena and Ezra came back in the room only now Ezra had a mask on.

"Oh gosh Red was right you do wreak the mask doesn't even help!" Ezra said as he came in.

Athena slapped the back of his head.

"Quit it! You're the one that wanted to stay in here with me so stop complaining!"

I huffed.

"If you hold Athena's hand she can share her cloak with you so you don't smell it too much." I said leaning back into Aaron's chest and continued to play with his fingers as he continued to scent me with his nose tucked into my neck.

"Thank the moons" Ezra mumbled.

They got settled on the couch in the corner of the room. And soon the only sound in the room were the sounds of Apollos heart monitor and the soft snores of everyone.

I stayed up and watched as Apollos chest rose and fell. Aaron woke from time to time to rub my stomach when it got too uncomfortable and would leave a kiss on my head before dozing back off.

Hours must have passed when Apollo moved an inch. He seemed to mumble something so I jolted off of Aarons lap.

"Apollo? Can you hear me? It's Art" I said.

Then his body began to spasm.

"HELP!" I screamed pressing the call button near his bed.

Everyone in the room woke up.

"HE'S SEIZING!!" I yelled as nurses came through the door. I went to turn him on his side but as soon as I touched him I wasn't in the room anymore.

I opened my eyes to see a green field.
I looked around expecting to see Apollo as this must be his vision but I was surprised to find myself all alone. I focus on my surroundings until I heard something... crying in the distance.

Apollo.

I raced into the trees that surrounded the field and shouted for him.

"Apollo! I'm here! Apollo!" I followed the cries to a lake and saw a little boy with a tuff of blonde and black hair I could recognize from anywhere.

As I got closer I saw that he was holding his leg that looked to be bleeding and he seemed to be hyperventilating as he cried harder.

"Apollo?" I called as I came up beside him. Only for the boy to flinch back hard and look up at me with fear in his eyes.

"Hey hey I'm not gonna hurt you. I promise." I said holding up my hands.

"I need you to breathe with me though. I'm gonna help you." I held out one of my hands which he hesitantly put his free hand in. I then put his hand on my chest above my heart.

I began exaggerating my breathing for him to copy. Always being a smart kid he was quick to understand.

"Can you name three things you hear for me honey?" I asked only for him to shake his head and his lip begin to wobble again.

"That's okay that was a tough one. Just listen to me okay?" He nodded his head.

I began humming softly and then sang.

"Somewhere over the rainbow...way up highhh...There's a land that I heard of.....Once in a lullaby." I sang softly. Apollo's eyes lit up in recollection as I sang his favorite song from the Wizard of Oz.

"Somewhere over the rainbow...skies are blueeee...And the dreams that you dare to dream...really do come true."

"Someday I'll wish upon a star...and wake up where the clouds are far behinddd meee. Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops."

"That's here you'll finddd meee." Apollo sang with a smile.

I smiled at him and whipping away the left over tears on his face.

"You sing just like my mommy." He said now holding my hand.

"Your mommy? Don't you mean your sister?" I asked confused.

"Arty? Noooo she tries sometimes but she doesn't have a grow up voice like mommy so it doesn't sound that good. Don't tell her I said that though! Mommy sings that song to us every night before bed so Arty still has time to learn! My sissy can do anything!" He rambled with such a big smile on his face and love in his eyes.

"Oh wow where is your sister now?"

"Well we were playing hide and seek while mommy and daddy got the picnic ready...but I fell down and I can't walk back. But Arty will find me! She always finds me." He said with such confidence.

"Hmm okay well do you mind if I sit and wait with you until she comes? I might be able to help fix your booboo"I said pointing at his knee.

His eyes lit up again. "If you fix my knee we can go and find Arty! She's hurting too, I can feel it! With my twinlepothe" He said whispering the last part with a lisp that I forgot Apollo had at such a young age.

"Oh really well that's quite a power you have there." I said as I placed his knee along my thighs.

"No papa says we'll get our real powers on our birthday next month! We're turning five!" He said holding up his hand showing off five chubby fingers that had green nail polish on messily all over the nails.

I was able to heal just some of the wound when I heard shouting.

"Ollllllieeee!" I whipped my head around just as small Apollo got off my lap and began running to a little girl with big curly hair that looked just like me.

"Artyyyyy!" Apollo screamed as he ran to her.

"Slow down!" I said only to hear someones else's voice as well.

Running behind four year old me was my Apollo.

And then I was running.

We reached each other at the same time and Apollo happily held me and swung me around as we laughed and cried.

Once he put me down we had our foreheads together and whipping each others tears and were apologizing to one another frantically. Only to be interrupted by our past selves.

"Hey lady! What were you doing with my baby brother!?" 4 year old me yelled as she pushed Apollo behind her protectively.

"Artyyy" little Apollo whined behind her. But little me wasn't having it and looked at me as if I was enemy number one.

"She was helping me Arty" He said showing her his almost healed scrap."And she even sang the rainbow song just like mommy." He said excitedly making mini me turn to him quickly.

"Not better than me though right?"

"Welllll" little Apollo said looking to the side.

"Apolloooo!" She said stomping her foot only to wince and let out a yelp.

"Arty sit down. Hey Miss can you help my sister like you helped me??" He asked looking up at me.

"No! I don't want her help!" mini me yelled holding her knee stubbornly.

"Artemis! You're gonna let her help you if you're hurt." Little Apollo said as sternly as his little voice could. It was adorable.

She uncovered her knee revealing a big gash that I remembered getting myself. So this is a memory of the past.

"Well are you gonna help or not lady?" Mini me said with a huff making little Apollo apologize for her and whisper for her to be nice.

I quickly healed what I could of the wound so it would at least stop bleeding but I couldn't do much given that we were in a memory. Apollo and I offered to take them back to their parents and mini Apollo was able to convince mini me to agreed so I took him on my back while Apollo took mini me.

"I told you she would find me." Little Apollo whispered into my ear as I got him on my back.

I laughed "Yeah you've got a good sister there." I said.

"The best." Both Apollos said.

We walked for a while until we saw some people sitting under a tree on a hill. The little ones wiggled down and raced up the hill yelling for their parents excitedly.

Once Apollo and I caught up to them on the top of the hill we saw our father holding the two of us in his arms but  smiling brightly down at Apollo and I.

"There you two are. You finally made it back to us."

Looking over there was a woman holding Athena and another baby in her arms smiling warmly at us.

"Art...that's not...mom." Apollo said.

"No that's definitely not." I said dumbly.

Just then the memory began to blur.

I looked to Apollo.

"Promise you're coming back with me!" I yelled reaching for his hand.

"I will!" He shouted as everything disappeared around us but as soon as our hands touched the woman that was with my father replaced Apollo.

I could hear The Wizard of Oz song being sung around us that sounded so familiar but I know for a fact Apollo and I are the only ones that sung that song to each other every night.

But then the woman sang it. And it sounded so...perfect.

"That's where you'll find me. Find me. Find me. Find me." She sang over and over.

"I don't know who you are!" I shouted back. "Who are you?!"

Then she was gone.

"ARTEMIS BREATHE!" I opened my eyes and began gasping for air.

I was back in the hospital room now laying down next to Apollo in the bed.

I looked around the room seeing Apollo in Serenas arms as she cried and Aaron and Athena looking at me with concern and tears in their eyes.

"What in the world just happened" I heard Ezra say.

"I-i have no idea."I mumbled.

Then everything was black.
