Chapter 2
The song above is to be played when told later in the chapter.
Artemis
The morning was peaceful, we began our walk back to the bus in silence, while Athena slept comfortably on Apollo's back. I stopped as I took a glance at Apollo's feet, "Hey Pollo, I been meaning to ask you something" I spoke. "Oh yeah what?" Apollo asked turning to face me.
"Why do you have on my flip flops?" I asked with curiosity laced in my voice. "Oh that's easy just look down at your feet," Apollo said amused.
And sure enough on my feet were Apollos large slides. "Haha" I laughed sheepishly. "Well then that explains it, but you could have just found another pair of your own instead of stretching out a pair of mine," I said as I opened the door of the bus.
"This is true but you could have also found a pair of your own instead of stealing a pair of mine," Apollo said as he walked pasted me onto the bus.
"It was an accident!" I shouted as I walked onto the bus.
Once our driver Reggie came back from the lounge they have at the rest stop for the truck drivers, we were back on the road. We ended up stopping at some run-down diner for breakfast, it was our tradition after all. In each state, we've stopped at, we go to the most crummy diner it has to offer. We aren't cheap or anything it's more for a reality check of where we came from, and we tip pretty handsomely regardless of how the food taste.
There weren't many people at the diner so we got to have a calm breakfast without fans jumping over the table to get an autograph from Apollo. Though calm to us Angelos Siblings goes something like this: Apollo and I having a straw-ship (as we call it) battle across the table, while Athena looks over the menu. Seeing as this diner was known for their waffles Athena challenged us to a waffle eating contest. Which ended with her being the winner after Apollo ran to the "bathroom" that turned out to be just the back alley of the diner to throw everything up. I followed him having to hold back his hair that he decided to have naturally out today curls falling wildly on his shoulders.
When we returned to our booth Athena had a smug smirk on her face holding up her phone to show us the new rare plushie she wanted for winning. She really had a stuffed animal addiction. While showing us her phone she swiftly went to her camera roll, and to our surprise, there were pictures of Apollo battling with his last waffle along with him hurling it all up.
We all laughed as Apollo's freckled cheeks blushed a light red. We ordered some milkshakes and went over the plans for tonight's final concert when suddenly something caught my eye. It was a jukebox! I ran over after jumping Athena for some change, knowing she would have some she was 60 after all.
After looking through the music they had to offer I finally found a song that we all liked "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing" by Stevie Wonder.
Start the song.
As the song began to play I started to walk back to the table but not without grabbing a utensil from an empty booth to use as my microphone.
Apollo was quick to follow as he grabbed a napkin box and got up from his seat. "Everybodys got a thing," Apollo sang. "But some don't know how to handle it," I sang reaching out to Athena spinning her around as the chorus hit she grabbed the spoon the lady was using behind the counter. "But don't you worry 'bout a thing, Don't you worry 'bout a thing mama" Athena sang tapping my nose.
"They say your style of life's a drag" I sag wrapping my arm around Athena's shoulder. "And that you must go other places," I said spinning Apollo around.
"Just don't you feel bad when you get fooled by smiling faces," Apollo sang as we all slammed our hands on the table. "DON'T YOU WORRY 'BOUT A THING!!" we all sang loudly.
Soon enough we all began dancing and running around the diner, Athena ended up dancing with some old guy, Apollo with our waitress, and me with this little girl.
By the end of the song, our small audience cheered us on as we paid and left the now lively diner in a fit of laughter.
End of song.
The day flew by and we were now all backstage waiting for the concert to begin. We could hear the crowd shouting Apollo's name and I could see the rush in Apollo's eyes. I grabbed his hand having him give me his attention, "Hey just sing from your heart, Paulie," I said bringing him into a hug as he pulled Athena in as well who groaned mumbling how we hug too much.
"Hey what do you expect he's our Olaf," I said with a smile "We need his warm hugs sometimes."
"Oh I thought you said we didn't get cold," Apollo said with a smirk. I chuckled and said "You dork your warmth is your Love and that's something, everyone needs, but we're just lucky to have," I said pushing away from his chest, "Now go out there and melt their hearts; they're calling you, Golden Boy," I said with a smirk. He smiled and gave us both a quick kiss on our foreheads.
That night Apollo ended his final show with his song "Homecoming" as I listened to the lyrics I couldn't help but stare at Apollo in awe as I held on to Athena. "Yes it is about time we find a place to call home," I whispered to myself.

After Apollo's show, we decided to rent out a hotel room for our last night, mostly for the room service. We were planning on leaving Texas tomorrow to start our new lives before the full moon the following day, the only problem is...we have no destination. Apollo insisted a few months back that he would plan everything for our "new journey", but as the weeks flew by and the time for this so-called plan finally came up Athena and I were told "I promise I'll explain everything after tonight's show" having him pat our heads.
So as Apollo closed our hotel room door he was face to face with two aggravated sisters. Athena and I stood side by side arms folded, hips out, and eyebrows tightly knitted into a frown.
Apollo jumped back slightly causing his back to bump into the door behind him. With his hands up he smiled weakly he spoke, "Now, now my loving sisters I know you two are mad, but before you kill me don't you wanna know what I have in the bag?"
Both of our eyes quickly adjusted to the brown bag he had lifted along with his hands. With a sigh, I dropped my arms from their fold and decided to listen to what he had to say, "Fine Pollo shoot" I said turning my back to sit on one of the two beds in the room, with Athena following close behind.
Apollo relaxed and now stood in front of us at the foot of the bed. "I'm glad you said that Art! Okay now feast your eyes uponnnn THIS!!", Apollo said dramatically as he pulled out a dartboard that looked like a map of some sorts taped on it.
Athena and I shared a questionable look on our faces. "Now I know what you are thinking and you are correct...I couldn't make a decision... as usual.", Apollo said with a sheepish laugh.
"Ugh really Pollo you had 2 months!" Athena said as she fell back into the pillows on the bed. I simply palmed my forehead and rested my head in my hand giving Apollo an unamused look as he began to speak.
"I know, I know but then I had an idea," Apollo said as he tapped the side of his head with his pointed finger.
"Oh you hear that everyone Apollo had an idea! Because all of his bright ideas work every time!" Athena said shooting up from the pillows flaring her arms in the air looking a the imaginary crown that looked like a wall.
"Hush Thena and let him talk," I said getting annoyed, it was late and her normal stinky attitude was getting worse by the minute.
"Thank you, Arty now as I was saying I don't think a decision like this should be made all by myself" Apollo began again and Athena mumbled "I could have told you that" I rolled my eyes and gave her a light kick in her leg that was laid across the bed. Lifting her head out of the pillows she stuck out her tongue at me before putting her head back down.
"Any way you two should have a say in this so why not let fate decide?" he finished as he set the dartboard up on one of the dressers in the room and pulled out three darts and a black cloth that I recognized as my scarf from the hand-stitched embroidery of my name on the side. "Hey that's mine! Why couldn't you use your own, you always forget to give things back!" I exclaimed.
"Because Art, I'm using mine right now, duh," he said pointing at the scarf on his head that seemed to be pushing back his curls.
"Oh my gosh that's not important right now! What the hell do you mean to let fate decide Pollo? Is there any kind of organization in this so-called plan of yours?? Like some states aren't compatible with our needs, like New York. We need space to run and even if we're idiotically supposed to throw those darts at that board did you forget you and Huntress here literally have perfect aim? And another thing-" Athena continued before getting cut off by Apollo.
"Woah Woah Woah slow down Your Honor" Apollo started with his hand up, "now I will admit I did not think about the aiming thing but I can assure you I have done all of the necessary research on the selected states. I've narrowed it down to 6 states and even put a house on hold in each one of them. Oh and about the aiming we'll all throw with our left hands. Boom!" Apollo finished with a smug grin on his face.
Athena just rolled her eyes, mumbling something I didn't quite catch under her breath. I simply chuckled and hopped off of the bed.
"Sounds fun Paulie I'll go first, but I've gotta warn you I've been practicing with my left hand a lot lately," I said smirking as I took the dart out of his hand.
"Oh really well then I guess we'll each have to spin around before throwing. Now no one is allowed to see where the other persons dart landed on until everyone has gone. With that being said when it's not your turn you must face away from the board. Once you hear your dart connect with the board you can take off your blindfold and obtain your dart and write down your state somewhere, including the city. I want this decision completely anonymous." Apollo said as he tied the blindfold around my head.
We each went and had a paper with our state on it. "Alright Art since you went first what did you get?" Apollo said with excitement in his voice.
"I got Helena, Montana" I chuckled, "it sounds like Hannah Montana," I said while the two of them gave me curious looks.
"Well that's weird I got Butte, Montana," Athena said curiosity in her voice.
"Haha Butt" Apollo said amused. "Welp, my Loves I guess fate is calling us to Montana because I too got Great Falls, Montana" Apollo finished with a smile.
"Oh come on Fate my ass! Did you rig this Pollo?? You had a vision didn't you?" Athena shouted pointing her finger accusingly at Apollo, with narrow eyes.
"Now Athena I can't believe you would accuse me of such!" Apollo said with his hands now placed over his heart as if he was wounded. "What sense would that make anyhow, I can't see the place someone is in my visions," Apollo said in a duh tone.
"This is true but it would explain the game, your visions are sometimes unclear you could have used this as a push or insurance," Athena claimed as she walked around Apollo, arms folded staring at his with quizzing eyes.
"Oh my sweet little sister always such the detective, but I believe my name is Apollo, not Allstate, I don't need insurance," he said with his arms folded with a smirk until it dropped, "Well actually we do but whatever! You sound crazy I had nothing to do with this Your Honor, now if you'll excuse me I have three plane tickets to Montana to purchase." Apollo finished but I didn't miss how he was rocking on his heels as he spoke.
He swiftly walked across the room to get his laptop from his bag, but not before giving us both a cocky smirk. 'Just what do you have planned Pollo' I thought while looking at his back.

Shortly after, everyone was now changed into more comfortable clothes and began their nightly routines. Until Apollo slammed closed his laptop making us give him our attention.
He hopped off his bed and jumped onto the bed Athena and I were sharing causing Athena to jump a little. "Ugh Pollo" Athena said while readjusting herself against the pillows behind her back.
Apollo chuckled as he snuggled in between us, gently closing the laptop on Athena's lap and putting his other hand over the page in my book I was reading.
"Hey I was working!" Athena exclaimed. "Yes, yes we know you're very busy with your company Thena, but I'm sure it'll be fine for a couple of minutes without your supervision" Apollo said pinching her cheek.
"Whatever just say what you have to say so I can get back to work," Athena said with a pout.
"Well I just wanted to say our flight is booked for 2:15 pm tomorrow, so we need to wake up early so we can pack up the bus. I already talked to my manager and got the address for Reggie for where to drop the bus off at, so everything is settled." Pollo said relaxing into the bed some more.
"That sounds great Apollo but you never told us anything about the house you have lined up for us," I said pulling my knees up to my chest so I could rest my head on them and look over at Apollo.
"Oh you're right, well the house is in Helena city, I found a nice lodge house right at the edge of the forest, but not too far from town. I'll let the house itself be a surprise, but don't you two worry you'll love it. I've made a few calls and we should have a fully furnished house by the time we land tomorrow." Pollo finished.
"Fully furnished?" I questioned skeptically.
"Yup I picked out a lot of things ahead of time for your rooms and around the house, there's still room for adjustments, but just call it a game of does your brother really know you" Apollo said with a smile.
"Well I can't wait Paulie I'm sure it will be the place for us," I said.
"Yeah...Hey let's watch a movie we haven't done that in a while, we can order a buncha junk from room service! Come on Thena you now you can't turn that down" Apollo said excitedly.
Before Athena could give him an answer he smoothly grabbed her laptop she at some point had opened back up and I had the hotel room phone in my hand looking over the menu for room service.
"Paulie!" Athena exclaimed. "You can work later, Ena, it's movie time! I'm thinking of the Lion King. What do you think little Cub?" he asked Athena.
"Fine! Just don't bother me on the plane tomorrow so I can get some stuff done," she said with a huff.
"Deal!" Apollo exclaimed jumping a little.
Soon room service came and we made a little pillow fort on the floor and decided to just watch the movie on Athena's laptop since that's what we were used to rather than the TV screen.
So there we were in our make-shift pillow fort, surrounded by our favorite junk foods, enjoying each other's company as we watched a childhood favorite. We sang along to all the songs as if we were in the movie ourselves. It was a fun night forgetting our worries about what's to come and just relaxed.
At that moment we didn't stress over the new beginnings tomorrow held we just knew if we had each other it would be fine. Just fine.
