Olivarry: Hypoglycemia
A/N: Non-superhero au
Barry's POV
Today has been quite a busy day. It's been work work work...all day, I've hardly had time to eat. Not eating is something that's very bad for me, cause I'm hypoglycemic. I haven't eaten since 6:30 and it's already 3:30. Good thing I'm done with all my work, now I probably won't pass out. I stand up from my desk and get a little dizzy.
"D*mn." I muttered leaning against my desk, trying to stabilize myself.
The dizziness passes and I leave work. As I'm leaving, I get a text from my boyfriend. He wants me to meet him at the park. Even though I'm not feeling all that well, I agree to meet with him. Walking to the park, I feel my blood-sugar get lower and lower. I get to the park and see Oliver waiting for me.
"Hey." I said hugging him.
"Hi, babe." Oliver said kissing my cheek.
We walk hand-in-hand down the trail. I seriously feel like I'm gonna pass out at any second. I see a bench up ahead and mentally sigh in relief.
"How's about we sit on that bench over there." I said.
"Okay." replied Oliver.
We then start making our way towards the bench. Suddenly, about halfway to the bench; my legs get weak, my vision blurs, and the world turns on its side before going dark. Then the next thing I knew, I was waking up on the ground in Oliver's arms as he was shouting my name.
"Barry! Barry are you okay?! Come on, say something!" Oliver said concerned.
"Aw man....I-I'm sorry, Ollie. I didn't mean to scare you. My...blood-sugar is really low, so that's why I fainted." I said weakly.
"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?" asked Oliver.
"I-I...don't know." I said still feeling very dizzy.
"Hang on, Bear, I'm taking you home." Oliver said picking me up off the ground.
I wrap my arms around his shoulders and lean my head against his chest.
"Try not to pass out again, please." Oliver said gently.
"O-o....kay." I replied.
Oliver carries me all the way home. When we get inside, he lays me carefully onto the couch then goes into the kitchen and grabs my medicine.
"Here, Bear, sit up a little so you can take your medicine." Oliver told me.
I sit up, then Oliver hands me my medicine and a glass of juice. I take it then lay back down.
"Thanks, Ollie." I said.
"You're welcome, babe." Oliver said stroking my head.
He leans down and kisses my forehead.
"Next time you feel like this, tell me about it, okay?" Oliver said.
"Okay." I nodded.
When I felt a little better I sat up and had Oliver sit next to me. We held hands as I rested my head on Oliver's shoulder.
"Hey, Ollie, I'm hungry, can you..." I said.
"Already on it." Oliver interrupted me while dialing the number of my favorite pizza place on his phone.
I end up eating an entire pizza and five breadsticks.
