Oliver's sister thea was now going after the hood trying to decipher his identity and many a times felicity helped him remain invisible, they talked to Roy and slightly brought him in to their crusade, making sure thea was mostly away and unhurt. The team took another week to figure the location of the machine and while working at QC felicity cracked a program which helped her know exactly how to find where it was being planted. She sent it to the foundry PC and She asked Oliver to meet her at the foundry as she left for the foundry she was caught by detective lance and taken for questioning to the SCPD department. She went and during her conversation Oliver called the detective as the hood to inform him about the quake stimulator and asked for his assistance and also told him to release felicity as she was important for locating the device. Lance released her and asked her a last question of why she is willing to help the hood, her reply was simple yet deep and mind blowing " there isn't always black and white , there are infinite shades of grey in between and our subject the hood as you call him lies in between, and whoever he is , has sacrificed an awful lot to protect this city and it's people he is willing to do what it takes to keep crime low so to me that does make him a hero ."
She left and when reached the foundry Oliver and Diggle decided to pay malcolm a visit for the location of the device as it would take felicity an hour and since the undertaking as malcom called it is preponed they may not have enough time.
Malcolm and Oliver got in a serious fight and Diggle too fought only to be injured on his ribs when felicity exclaimed that she has got the location. Oliver asked John to go take detective lance and go to the device while felicity give them the directions to disarm it.
He agreed and put on his helmet to conceal his identity. He took lance and deactivated the device, however while helping Diggle and lance felicity was notified of another location releasing similar energy and she figured there was another quake stimulator device and she went ahead to deactivate it.
Oliver was more confident knowing Diggle and lance will deactivate the device and fought better so felicity did not inform any one of the second device. As she went to disarm it she saw two hired men guarding the device and coming to attack her, but she was faster and used her small body to hit these men on their weak spots and in no longer than five minutes did the collapse on the ground. She went ahead and deactivated the machine however realised it had a bomb on it and that will explode in the next 10 minutes, she had enough time to disarm the bomb but as a precaution asked lance and Diggle to evacuate laurels law firm which was right above the bomb. They did that and she came up into the building after 8 mins as was unable to diffuse it, because one of the man she knocked unconscious woke and had shot at her, she was injured on her shoulder and slowed down so could not diffuse the bomb but she needed to make sure everyone was out, she saw Tommy move to a small 10 year old boy and went to him. Telling him to leave he refuses and she pushed him out telling him she will save the boy and he would be a liability to her so he should leave. He agreed, and as soon as he reached outside he went to laurel, lance and the others across the street the building blew up the looked back at it a saw 2 figure at the side , by then oliver had come there and he moved towards the figures and john followed him . He saw felicity and a 10year old boy he told john to take the boy and he will bring felicity, lance too noticed felicity was bleeding and told her that the ambulance is on the way and will treat her wound. He was taking her with him and told the hood to leave before he decides to arrest him . Felicity stops and tells lance she will be fine and asks Oliver to take her to the foundry, he tries to argue and she glares at him causing him to agree with her.telling lance he will take care of her and not to give any information regarding who she is to media he take her with him. John heard the conversation on comms and leaves for the foundry. They reach the foundry and immediately treat felicity, when she removes her blouse they see a third degree burn and a few cuts on her front body right below her ribs, she just tells them she too has secrets and the they should not worry as the person responsible is dead. Diggle removed the bullet on her shoulder and stitches it . Oliver and Diggle ask felicity to stay at the foundry and they will come back soon as Oliver needed to check on his sister thea and Diggle on his wife lyla.
