Oliver queen (OQ ) had just returned to starling city after five long years on a hellish island Lian Yu. He returned to right his father's wrong using a list his father left him before his father shot himself. He had no idea what he was up against but he could not do it as OQ "lost billionaire found alive". As many people wanted to know what happened to him on the island and he had to much attention on him, he finally decided that wearing a hood and shootingarrows around will be his way to right his father's wrongs , he wore it as a form of respect to his teacher, shadow. He had committed a couple of murders in that hood and hence no longer felt the inner loss of murdering someone. His first two visits as the hood brought in fear for him among the society and residents of starling city. However his third visit showed him someone who was just like him without the need to kill though . This person was a mystery when Oliver first met her, he could tell by the tight fitted clothes it wasn't a man, However when Oliver met her both of them were in shadows so to say she was the only mystery would be injustice as she too had a spark of curiosity in her eyes and he could see it clearly well.The first meeting they had was just eye contact and an unspoken conversation trying to decipher each other. He took care of his business at the location and went back to look for her but so no trace of anyone ever being at the place apart from him and the owner. He left knowing the SCPD would be there in no time. This continued with him during the next couple of his vigilante visits and he was more curious than ever, he would see her and many a time the SCPD would arrive and arrest the criminal ( his target) and he would have to flee.
He started his research on the mysterious woman and found that she had been doing this vigilante thing for quite some time however she never engaged she gathered enough information for SCPD and anonymously left it for them and he wants to believe she to has a list just like him to know exactly who he targets next.
A month passed but he has no clue on who she is.
Apart from the vigilante life his normal OQ life was going smoothly his mom and sister had stopped asking about the island , his best friend Tommy would ask a few time but also knew when to shut up so he didn't mind it. His fiancee before the island laurel was now dating Tommy, everyone thought he was gonna feel terrible about it but he surprisingly didn't, it was almost like he cared about laurel as a friend and was kinda forced into a relationship but now he didn't want to be with her whether it was a forced or normal relationship, he even threatened Tommy to take care of laurel and that he was okay with them together and assured Tommy that he could continue with his proposal to laurel. He did however apologise to laurel who couldn't forget how he took Sara her sister with him to the gambit and that resulted in her death, however she knew that they had not been together and were just in the boat to plan laurels surprise bday party.many did assume he cheated on laurel with Sara but laurel actually knew that it wasnt the case as she knew Sara was homosexual and that Oliver and Sara are best friends. Laurel took time but eventually forgave Oliver as it wasn't under his control, this was the same day as Tommy proposed and she said yes. Oliver now had got a bodyguard John Diggle as his mum need him to be safe and stop him from disappearing without explanation. Maintaining his time as OQ and as the hood put a lot of effort and mostly when his life was in danger as the hood the first time he would have almost died was during his attempt to kill an assassin named deadshot he was one of the targets and this time barely escaped as his bodyguard Diggle took the bullet for him. In order to avoid questioning and jeopardizing his identity he took Diggle to his lair where he used his basic medical knowledge to treat Diggle he was angry with himself to be in such a position where someone he cared about would have to die by then Diggleknew who he was and was angry and took him for a murderer, it took a while and eventuallyDiggle kin of understoodOliver and joined his vigilante crusade.oliver was angry and therefore straight up went to deadshot's last location to know who was behind the paid kills he ended up in a fight and deadshot escaped however he was left with a damaged laptop. He had no idea what to do with it but remember a conversation with his father Robert before they left for China in the gambit he was complimenting a felicity Smoak and said she was the best with computers (her field of expertise) he checked the QC employee log and found her name in the IT department so went to her the first thing next morning.
His mind still figuring why the mystery woman was not around when Diggle was shot but he realised that this attack was not predictable and she was after another person someone not in the list. He didn't know if that made him see things differently than before but it was slowly changing him and he did not like that. The next day he met felicity and she was someone he didn't expect like he though she would be some old lady with a lot of knowledge and hence very strict, but here he found a young lady around 26 chewing a pen as she speaks to her self all the problem she is facing while her slender fingers are working on a computer beside her clicking many keys until she shouts a yeh and ramble how people wouldn't let her do the job and do it themselves complicating her work. He was clearly invisible to her and wondered how she can be so clueless but never the less went to her with his problem. When he greeted her and made an eye contact with her he drifted apart from his objective, but quickly managed to speak. He told her his laptop was broken as he spilled latte on it, she saw the laptop and questioned him on the bullet holes in it and he lied again " my coffee shop is in a bad neighbour hood " she didn't believe him and he could tell never the less she agreed to help him savage what's left of the device. He did go to her the next couple of times regarding various technological devices and she gladly helped home with out any questions or judgements. He didn't know if he wanted to trust her but she did give him a reason to .
