Alexandria pov
Today I had no clubs to handle so I was just grading a little bit before going home.

Minus glasses

I was packing up when there was a knock on my door. I looked up to see Alice there.
" Hello Alice."
" Ms. Swan. Could you take me and Jazz to the hospital? We need to see dad and the car broke down." I smiled.
" Of course. Just give me a minute." She smiled and hugged me.
" Thank you. I'll go get Jasper and meet you outside." I nodded my head.

I went out to find Jasper and Alice waiting for me. Jasper spoke.
"Thank you ma'am. We appreciate this."
"It's no problem. I was leaving soon anyway." Jasper smiled and Alice grinned.

Once we pulled out Alice was talking to me.
"Thank you so much Ms. Swan. The others went home and Jazz and I had to stay to talk to a teacher." I chuckled.
"It's fine Alice. I don't mind." She smiled big.
"Oh! Dad's been talking about you. I guess you really made an impression on him." I blushed a bit and Jasper spoke.
"Alice."
"Sorry. Did I make you uncomfortable?"
"Not at all Alice. It's fine. Your father is very charming. I'll tell you the truth he made an impression on me also." She grinned.
"Good." I saw Jasper shake his head at Alice.

The rest of the ride Alice told me all about her family and how she had been adopted by Carlisle and met the others. How she and and Jasper had started dating and everything.

When we reached the hospital Alice wanted me to go in so Carlisle knew I had taken them.

We went in and it wasn't long before Carlisle came out. He smiled when he saw me.
"Ms. Swan thank you for bringing them."
"Of course. I don't mind at all." Alice spoke.
"Dad. Why don't you take her out to dinner to thank her?" I heard Jasper sigh with exasperation.
"Alice." He hissed out. Carlisle looked shocked and I was blushing. Jasper cleared his throat.
"Excuse us for a minute." When they left Carlisle chuckled.
"I'm sorry about that. Alice can be a little much at times." I shook my head.
"No. It's fine."
"You are very kind Ms. Swan." I blushed then spoke.
"Lexi." He smiled.
"Lexi then. And please just call me Carlisle."
"I will." I noticed the time.
"I better be going. Need to fix dinner for dad."
"Wait. Would you like to go out this weekend?" I looked shocked.
"If you have plans that's fine."
"No. I would love to." Carlisle smiled and spoke.
"Here. I'll give you my number that way we can keep in touch." I smiled and we exchanged phone numbers.
"I look forward to seeing you this weekend Lexi."
"You also Carlisle." He smiled then left. This was interesting.

That weekend I got ready nervously for my date with Carlisle. We had been talking on and off quite a bit and had grown close.

I fixed my hair and makeup.

I was finishing up when the doorbell rang. I went down and opened the door. I saw Carlisle there. He froze then smiled.
" You look very beautiful Lexi." I blushed and looked down.
" Thank you. You look very handsome Carlisle." He smiled and kissed my hand.
" Shall we?" I smiled and nodded. I took his arm when he offered it.

Carlisle led me to his car then opened the door for me. I got in and he closed the door then got in himself. It wasn't long before we were off.

" So I hope you don't mind but I thought you might enjoy a nice European restaurant. They serve all kinds of stuff."
" I would love that. But how did you know?"
" I asked Charlie." I smiled.
" Thank you." Carlisle smiled and spoke.
" It's nothing Alexa." I giggled and blushed. I heard Carlisle chuckle. He brushed his fingers against my hand. I smiled and took his hand. He looked shocked then smiled. I don't know why but this felt right.

We had a great dinner and we got to know each other really well. But I couldn't shake the feeling that he was hiding something. Little did I know I would find out sooner then I thought.

A week later
It had been a week since Carlisle and I went on a date and we had become extremely close.

Today I was working on grading when I heard a voice I had grown accustomed to hearing.
" You are working hard." I smiled and spoke.
" It's not nice to sneak up on a lady Carlisle Cullen." He chuckled and came over. He kissed my cheek.
"I was hoping to convince my girlfriend to come with me."
"Oh? I'm your girlfriend?" I asked teasing. He narrowed his eyes at me playfully then pulled me close. I squeaked in shock.
"Yes you are Ms. Swan." I giggled and leaned into him. He kissed my head then spoke.
"I want to tell you something. That's why I was hoping I could pull you away from grading." I smiled and spoke.
"I'd be happy to go with you Dr. Cullen." He chuckled and leaned against the desk. I got ready quickly then left with him.

I had to take my car to dad's first then I went with Carlisle.

We stopped at the edge of the forest and he helped me out.
"What are we doing here?" I asked. He smiled wryly.
"Actually. This has to do with what I wanted to tell you."
"What is it?" Carlisle smiled sadly then held out his hand to me.
"It's easier to show you." I took his hand and he picked me up letting me rest on his back. He sighed.
"Please don't freak out." I heard him whisper. I drew my arms around him tighter and kissed his cheek.
"I trust you." He smiled and seemed to be relieved. Then he closed his eyes and took off at inhuman speed.

We stopped at a clearing and he put me down.
"I wanted to show you who I am. The real me." He walked into the sun and I gasped. His skin was sparkling. Like diamonds. I went over and put my hand on his arm then up to his cheek. He shivered but let me do it.
"What are you?" I asked quietly. He sighed and spoke.
"I'm a vampire Alexa." I looked at him then smiled.
"You're very handsome." He smiled with relief.
"I won't hurt you."
"I know. I told you Carlisle Cullen. I trust you." He picked me up and spun me around. Then we kissed deeply. Carlisle set me down and stroked my cheek.
"I'm sorry for not telling you but I didn't want to scare you."
"What changed your mind?"
"Alice. She can get glimpses of the future. She knew you wouldn't freak out. The truth is, Alexa, she saw you a long time ago. You are my mate. My true love." I smiled and put a hand on his chest.
"That would explain a lot about Alice. She's been so odd since we met." He chuckled.
"She was excited that there would finally be a mother figure in the family. That is if you want to." I smiled and laughed.
"I would love to be mother to five wonderful kids such as yours." Carlisle chuckled then brushed some hair from my cheek.

He told me his whole story and everything that had happened throughout his years as a vampire. How he had found his sister again after a while. How he had added to the family. Everything. One thing I knew. I loved him so much and wanted to always be by his side.

A week later
It was the weekend and I was at home grading. Suddenly I heard a noise and felt wind. I sighed and smiled.
"That is not very polite Carlisle Cullen." He chuckled and walked over to me.

Since he had told me everything I had gotten even closer to him. The Cullen kids also had become like my own and had grown close to me. Carlisle had also, for whatever reason, stopped pretending to be human as much with me around.

Carlisle kissed my cheek and put his arms around my neck.
"So would you like to have dinner over at my house?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I thought you couldn't eat." He smiled.
"I can't. Or couldn't. I don't know."
"What is it?"
"I told you how some vampires have special gifts."
"Yes. And you mentioned sometimes these gifts are carried over from when they were human."
"Yes. Well I think I found your gift. You somehow can make our kind have certain human qualities again." I looked at him.
"What do you mean?"
"On our first date when I ate. It wasn't like normal. I actually could taste the food and enjoyed it."
"So I let you eat?" He chuckled and nodded.
"It would seem so."
"And you want me over to test this theory?" I asked teasing.
"No. I want you over to introduce you to my sister. And because the kids really want you over. Rose and Alice practically shoved me out the door." I laughed at the image.
"Your daughters are something else."
"That they are. All the kids love you. Even Jasper won't stop talking about you." I smiled.
"I'm glad. They're really good kids. And I'd love to come over." Carlisle chuckled.
"Well that was harder then I thought it was going to be." I laughed.
"Someone has to give you a hard time Carlisle Cullen."
"I have Esme for that."
"And now you have me." I kissed his cheek then got up and got changed. I changed into a knee length black skirt and a blue top. Then I got a white jacket and put it over my outfit. I got brown boots on. By the time I was done Carlisle had pulled the car up and was waiting for me. I was very nervous to meet his sister but I was excited.
