Chapter 2.
I had left the town five years ago, and now the town had become developed. I began longing for the town, so I decided to return to my hometown, and work there. I skipped to note down that, our town had been ripe by many old wives' tales, some of them were mere superstition, but you may never know when some of the superstition turns true. I decided to return to my town, and my friends too decided to settle in my hometown. I made few friends when I was in the city, the names of my friends were Jagadev and his wife Supriya, Adarsh, Surya, and his wife Jagriti. Jagriti was Jagadev's sister, and I was happy they all were coming with me. Before moving to my hometown, we visited the hometown and purchased flats in a tower. The tower was fifteen storeys, and the tower was equipped with CCTV cameras, water recycling, and other modern amenities. I was happy to see my town change, but still, I liked that my town is still a sleepy town, and that vibed with me. We prepared to leave for my hometown.
We caught a bus from the city, I was excited to visit my hometown, and, I would be living there permanently. The tower where we purchased flats were forming cooperative society, and that society was registered under government programs, due to which the society received huge grants under government programs. As the society was new, Jagadev, and I were appointed for doing accounting works of the society. Jagadev was a Chartered Accountant, and a Statistician. Supriya and Jagriti were appointed as fire safety officers, and they were specialised in repairing doors and windows too, Jagriti was appointed as First Aider too. Surya and Adarsh were appointed as First-Aiders. Surya was an electrician, and an expert in repairing clocks, and CCTV cameras too, and Adarsh was expert in plumbing, and gardening too. Jagadev, Surya and Jagriti were self-defence trainers too, as they had been a member of National Cadet Corps.
As the bus moved, I fell in the reminiscence of my childhood to my adulthood in my home-town. The sun was playing hide and seek, we were chinwagging about our building, and the town. As we reached the frontier of my town, I felt a gush of emotions cramming my mind, the town was still surrounded by greenery, and that made the town unique. The town still seemed to be sleepy, I saw old bungalows towering among agricultural lands, most of our folks are engaged in agricultural activity, and as I rummaged through the history of Ramanujan era, he had made significant changes in agricultural activity. Now the grains and fruits which are produced are not only sold in mall of our town, and other cities, now it is also been exported. Though my town is sleepy, but it had made significant progress.
