Hiccup and Snotlout's battle is based off of Soren and Kludd's fight from Legend of the Guardians (2010).

Gong

When typing the Elemental Shift series up, I used the name "Gong" in place of one of my character's names because the character's name was the name of one of my middle school teachers. (Yes, I was in middle school when I discovered Wings of Fire (series).)

St. Aegoulious

Most of the scenes in Elemental Shift (series) were based off of St. Aegoulious froM Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010). (I was really into Guardians of Ga'Hoole (series) after seeing the movie. I no longer read them since I have outgrown them and have no interest in them anymore.)

Plagarism

Most of the text in the books are directly from Guardians of Ga'Hoole (2010). This was before I learned about plagiarism in school.
