Adam tossed a red plastic ball in his hands. Up and down....up and down. Yelling snapped him out of his thoughts and he stopped, not noticing the ball was suspended in the air as he left.

"A failure! Four generations of Yale graduates have led to this? Shelby, you're a disgrace to the Crowley name!" Tim (Adam and Shelby's father) yelled.

"So what? Adam can carry on the name! I don't care if I fail." Shelby snarled.

Adam carefully stepped down the stairs and saw his father fighting Shelby. He now was running down the stairs. "Guys..."

"Adam is fine! You on the other hand, are not! He isn't a failure like you!" Tim yelled, ignoring Adam.

"STOP IT!" Adam yelled, and the room started to shake. A vase fell and shattered as he and Shelby went for cover. His father ducked as some small pieces of plaster fell to the ground.

"Great! Just great!" Tim yelled as Adam stormed out of the house.

<Time Skip To Car Ride>

Adam sighed, keeping his eyes on the road. Some music played softly and Alesa and Jin, who joined him, was sitting behind him.

"Turn up the music a little Adam, I don't think anyone can hear it." Alesa said sarcastically.

Adam instead turned the music down and turned to Alesa. "Sorry, I didn't hear you. What was your question?" Adam asked.

Alesa scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Alright. One question then, what is wrong with you? You've been so distant lately."

Adam shook his head. "Nothing. I-I'm fine." He stuttered, leaving Alesa to think he wasn't telling the truth.

Alesa went quiet, but wasn't happy with the answer.

"Oh look!" Jin said, to lighten the mood. "We're here!" He pointed to a bonfire with people waving glowsticks around.

Music filled Adam's ears as he turned the car off and stepped outside the car. He took a deep breath and looked for Ross. His brown eyed finally landed on the man and he walked over.

Ross had a camera to his face, documenting the party. "Oh, now the party has began! Alesa Evans, Jin Hirmura and Adam Crowley have arrived!" Ross sing-songed. He shoved the camera in Alesa's face, asking her questions.

Adam weaved through countless people, finally stopping to watch some beer pong. He focused on one of the bouncy balls and watched it land in each cup he wanted it to. "Odd."Adam mumbled and walked away.

"Defiantly." A smooth voice said from behind him. "This is an odd spot to host a party."

Adam turned to see a ginger behind him. He was taller than Adam, seeming over a foot taller. "Yes." Adam said. "It is."

"Heard you're having another party. Your 18th birthday, hmm? I hear it's to die for." The ginger chuckled and as Adam turned away, he disappeared.

Adam rubbed his eyes as Alesa approached him. "Come on Adam! Let's get drunk!"

Adam shook his head. "How about no?" He walked away, over to Ross and Jin. He knew that they were both gay and loved each other. So what if they are? They were his friends.

"Let's go." Adam said coldly and he, Ross, Jin and Alesa piled into Ross' car.

<During Car ride>

They'd been drving for a while and Alesa was getting tired of Adam.

"So Adam, who are you seeing?"

"No one."

"Then what's wrong?"

"I said it was nothing...."

"Well, it had to be something for you to act like this!" Alesa yelled. She moved her hand towards Adam's and he pushed it away. "See? You are acting like you aren't my boyfriend!"

"I AM YOUR BOYFRIEND! J-Just stop, ok?"

"NO!" Alesa screeched. "I WANNA KNOW WHAT'S WRONG!"

Jin saw a car head for them and went to push on the brakes, but they didn't work.

"Jin! Press the brakes!" Adam yelled.

"THEY DON'T WORK!" Jin spun the wheel to try and avoid being hit, but they were about to anyways.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
