Songshot: Somewhere To Run
Mat was tired, sprinting away from the demons. They were fast, but the theorist was faster.
I'm hearing the voices in my head~
Telling me I should just pretend~
He turned a corner and stopped. Another dead end. Mat looked up and saw an opening over the wall. He grabbed the metal pole beside him and ran, vaulting over the wall.
"C-Come p-play w-with u-us..." A voice glitched. Mat shook his head and ran faster.
But how can I sit around and swallow~
all the bull**** while I'm choking~
Nate grabbed a ledge, pulling himself up. That monster won't stop following him. He turned back and saw the mangled expression and pink and white colors. The musician shook his head and jumped down, rolling and sprinting again.
I just need somewhere to run~
I gave up, don't give a f***~
Nate grabbed one of the many monitors in the room he landed in. He held it over his head, ready smash it over those painted faces.
Somewhere to run, I'm so sick but I can't quit~
I'm saying ooh, another day, another night, I'm getting through~
Mark breathed heavily as the shadows behind him were catching up. He's seen the monsters four separate times, and he didn't want the fifth to happen.
"L-Long l-live t-the k-king M-Mark...." One croaked.
Mark's brown eyes widened as one swiped at him. He ducked instinctively, kicking out at the demons.
I just want, I just want somewhere to run~
Somewhere to run, somewhere to run~
Somewhere to run, run, run~
Mat saw the demon in front of him, it's jaw hanging by a thread. A hook was jammed haphazardly into one of the hand sockets. A torn eye patch was on the side of its head.
"A-Aye a-aye m-matey..." It spoke.
Another was behind it, fashioned to look like a purple bunny, a brown bear and a yellow chicken. All looked horrible, with decay all over them and murder in their eyes.
Say hello to the finger in your face~
If you're telling me how I should behave~
Cause you keep on walking while the leash around your neck has got you choking~
Nate grabbed the blue bunny's guitar and held it in front of him as the mangled and painted faces stood in his way. He threw the monitor at the mangled one first and kept the guitar with him and he took off again.
I just need somewhere to run~
I gave up, don't give a f***~
Somewhere to run, I'm so sick but I can't quit~
Nate swung the red guitar at the white painted face. It cracked and broke the mask over the monster. He jumped back as the masked one screamed. The musician took the warning and took off.
I'm saying ooh, another day, another night, I'm getting through~
I just want, I just want somewhere to run~
Somewhere to run, somewhere to run~
Somewhere to run, run, run~
Mark ran by a room that held some food items and grabbed a frying pan. Looking to the wall at his right, he saw a drawing. It was of him, wearing a paper crown on his head. But in blood was, "False King".
I've been through hell but I'm riding the sign 'til my feet hit the ground~
I'm breaking out of myself, so don't hold me back cause I finally found~
The YouTuber swung at the monsters at they leapt at him. They were creepy and monstrous for sure, and Mark didn't want to be anywhere near them.
Somewhere to run, run, run~
Somewhere to run, run, run~
Somewhere to run, run, run~
Somewhere to run~
Mat and Nate ran into each other as their monsters came closer.
"C-Courage a-and W-Wisdom m-must f-fall..." The mangled one spoke.
Mark ran into the room, panting and swinging the frying pan he held.
"P-Power m-must f-fall..." A shadow spoke.
Somewhere to run, somewhere to run~
Somewhere to run, somewhere to run, run, run~
Somewhere to run, somewhere to run|
Somewhere to run, run, run~
The monsters got closer and closer until......
The savior of blue came.
