Sky's PoV
I sat down, away from the party my friends were throwing. No occasion, just to have fun. I wasn't really interested in parties, especially when Max or Ross are drunk. Ross gets.....weird. Max just gets more hostile easily.

I stared at the moon, it's silver and round beauty shining upon me. I closed my eyes, hearing only wind and faint music from the house. Humming, I kicked my feet back and forth, in a swinging motion. Then I opened my eyes. The sky and everything around me was the same, except for a small light coming from my amulet.

It's been acting odd lately. When we were in Science the other day, Jin, Barney, Ross and Max were affected by the gamma radiation. I wasn't. Then, when we went to Hawaii, the metal detector didn't go off when I told under it. It's solid Budder and whatever this gem is. Amethyst maybe?

Even Jin noticed, and he wanted to experiment on it. I turned him down, 'cause I don't like leaving it with someone. Showers are okay, since soap and Budder don't mix well. I can watch it too. And these darn sunglasses too, I literally cannot see without them. I have this blindness disorder where any light that touches my eyes blinds me. Hence the sunglasses I never take off.

"Sky? What are you doing out here? You should be inside." I heard Jin say as he sat next to me, pulling his knees into his chest.

"I'm not good with parties, especially with those lights." I hung my head, staring at the grass and dirt.

"Right. Your light sensitivity thingy. So, I was wondering, could I test the amulet?" Jin asked.

I sighed. "Jin." I began.

"Here me out Sky. You don't need to take it off. I need the both of you. Just a few scans for health reasons and whatnot." Jin explained.

I nodded in agreement and he walked away, leaving me alone.

<Later>
I tiptoed down the stairs, trying not to wake Max, Ross or Barney. Cory and Nick too, since they had two of the guest rooms.

Grabbing the lab's door handle, I opened and shut the door behind me. Jin was waiting at the bottom, grinning in a friendly manner.

"Ready Sky?" He asked, and I smiled.

"Heck yeah dude."

"Alright. Just let me grab my equipment......" Jin trailed off, walking away.

I casually walked over to one of his potion stations. I saw the normal, health, regeneration, jump and swiftness. Some were copies Jin was making to help us, mainly me. He was trying to cure my blindness. That or he was testing some of the Chemical X stuff. I never knew what that did.....

"Sky! I'm ready!" Jin snapped me out of my thoughts. He had a metal dentists chair out and some lights. A machine was looked to a medical laser as well as other electrical tools. Some vials of liquid sat on a table.

"Coming!" I called, hopping onto the chair. I banged my back against it, not a good idea. Ow......

"Thanks again for letting me do this Sky. I really want to know what's so special about your amulet. You said it was a family heirloom, right?" Jin asked, setting up the laser.

"Yeah. Ever since Grandpappy Sky found Budder. Legend tells it was a gift from a deity." I marveled. The storied of my past and Minecraftia's always interested me. My favorite was Herobrine and the First Squid War. Herobrine was nice and rewarded a soldier a powerful item to use in battle. The soldier then used it for evil reasons, corrupting the item. My father told me it was the amulet, but I never really believed him. And all of our family had amulets too. Alesa has a pink one my mother gave for our wedding. Also, my mom gave us a extra green one if we have a child! Oh, how I'd love to be a father!

"Deity? Which one? I bet it's Notch." Jin said, hooking some cables together.

"Herobrine when he was good. Poor Notch, doing that to Hero. All he wanted was his girl back." I said sadly, remembering the famous Tomboy's stories. She was a famous writer, a truthful one. She wrote about her experiences as a teen, calling it Crafty Girls. It was amazing.

"Herobrine? Wow. Oh! All done Sky! Hold still." Jin said, taking the laser and carefully trying to dent my amulet. My amulet didn't bend, dent or even warm. It just looked like it was absorbing it.

"Jin, what's happening? My head hurts." I said quickly, my vision growing dizzy and fuzzy. "Everything is spinning......" I saw a bright gold color then black.

Jin's PoV
I turned the laser off, going to help Sky. Gold light emitted from his amulet.

"S-Sky?" But he was passed out.

I heard a crack noise and I went flying.

Faint voices surrounded me.
