James POV-
I have been working to much, Axel is starting to rub off on me. I should get some coffee. I go to the coffee machine that was outside my office. I pick up the pot and there is a spider under it. I scream and run into Dad's office. I didn't care that we was in a meeting and ran behind him. I saw Echo, Bradley, and Axel were in the meeting too.
"Son, can't you see I am in a meeting- what the heck happened?" Corbin asks annoyed.
"H-huge spider!" I yell out. Dad gives me a look, he knows I am scared of spiders but they are usually small so he thought I was lying.
"Awwwww is little baby James scared over a tiny spider?" Echo asks mocking me.
"Don't be ridiculous Echo, you would do the same thing!" Bradley yells out.
Echo's face goes pale and he whispers something, probably shut up. I look down to the doors and see the spider.
"OH LAWD IT FOLLOWED ME AHHHHH!" I yell out.
Axel looks over and hops on the table.
"OH GOD YOU WEREN'T KIDDING JAMES!"
Bradley jumps on the table with Axel and Echo is holding onto MY father NOT his. Dad is annoyed from his expression.
"I got it you two," he says annoyed while dropping both of us. Me and Echo stands on the chairs getting away from it.
Corbin's POV
No wonder James was scared, it was around the size of my hand! I put it in a cup and put it outside, I won't kill it, but Echo and James doesn't know that.

nobody knows James and Axel are dating. They know they have a (adopted) son but everyone thinks of it not both of them being parents.

Axel POV-
It's starting to storm....crap. I hate storms with all my heart. After a hurricane that hit when I was 16 and I got crushed I am scared of water and storms. Someone has to sit in the bathroom with me when I take a shower. Not like....get in with me but atleast be outside the curtains or door. Corbin sends us all a message, Corbin though it would be a good idea to make a group chat for all of us. James, Me, Echo, Bradley, Kit, Kolambi, Otis, Steven, Felon, Kit, and Cari. I mean Corbin does run this place so he can do what he wants. He says that the storm is very bad and he worries about all of us so he won't let us leave. I start to get nervous and start sweating. I want to run to James office so I look for my key card. I can't find it at all. There is another group chat with all the employees, not with Corbin in it. So I ask them.

It's probably Felon, I mean we are rivals. I don't care he is James brother he is still a jerk. Me and him have a relationship like James and Echo. Accept we are more extreme, I blacked out once from him punching me. It's probably for the best I am locked in here...so no one sees how I react to stor-
BOOOM!
I hear thunder roar, which shakes the building then lighting strikes. I try not to scream so I cover my mouth and moves away from my window. I stay, curled up in a ball covering my mouth and crying. I keep getting flashbacks of Ava following Austin and Kate, our foster mom at the time. They didn't know Ava was following and I stayed in the house. Then the house fell on me. I almost died that day. I was stuck under the house for three days. I know it seems weird but I don't get nervous when I am outside during a storm which is highly dangerous. I see a tree fall in the distance which shakes the ground + the building. I can hear some employees scream from it. I almost screamed but I held it in. I heard pounding on my door. I thought it was the storm but then I hear...
"Son?"
Shit, it's Corbin.
"James told me you can't find your keycard I have a spare to get out!"
I hear the swipe of the keycard. It works from the inside and outside. I back away slowly hiding under my desk now. I see the door open and Corbins boots walking around. He closes the door and asks,
"Son? Where are you I know you are in here,"
Another strike of thunder and Lightning hits. I can see Corbin jump a little from it. I accidentally let out a small shriek, so Corbin knows where I am now. He ducks down to see me curled in a ball under my desk.
"Son! What happened!" He says panicking a bit.
"N-not your s-son!" I choke out.
He pulls me out from under the desk and pulls me close. He rubs my back, like my brother Austin used to do. It reminded me of him heavily and I just start crying hard. Thunder and Lightning strikes again and I see another tree fall, I grip harder to Corbin. He can tell I am scared of the storm so he faces me away from the window and covers my ears. I close my eyes so I don't see the lighting light up the room.
Corbin POV
Axel is scared of storms I find out, he falls asleep in my arm after 10 minutes. He doesn't have a couch on his office, only his chair which he sleeps in a lot. I pick Axel up bridal style, he is tall but he is very skinny. So he wasn't hard to carry. I see James peeking out his office when I come out of Axel's, I sit Axel down onto my couch I have in my office and signal James to come in.
"Was he scared of the storm?" James asks. "He didn't answer my texts."
"Yeah....he fell asleep in my arms," I say laughing a bit. "He is okay now, I am going to see when the storm is ending on my phone." I tell James. I walk out of my office so I don't wake Axel. It seems like the storm won't end for around 40 minutes. I look back into my office and I see James sitting next to Axel on the floor, comforting him. The storm stops around an hour later. Everyone bolted out the door. Axel was still asleep when the storm ended. James was asleep as well, I didn't want to bother them. So I let them stay and I go to sleep in my chair. I wake up the next day. I check my watch and it's 7:00am. It was Saturday so no one was at work besides me, James, and Axel. I look over to see Axel laying on the couch still playing on his phone. He looks up and sees me and he has a worried look on his face.
"S-sorry what happened l-last night sir...." Axel says mumbling.
"What you apologizing about son-?" I reply with my eyebrow up.
"Notcha son!" He yells.
There was silence for a little bit, but then Axel breaks it.
"About what happened with me having an anxiety attack....a hurricane hit my town when I was younger, and.....a-and..."
.............
Axel starts crying heavily and I run over to him for comfort.
"I-i got crushed b-by my h-home!" He yells out crying. I hug him and he is resting his head on my shoulder.
Axel's POV
I am crying on Corbins shoulder...WAIT I AM CRYING ON CORBINS SHOULDER! I back away quickly to the end side of the couch. I wipe away my tears and I tell Corbin:
"S-sorry sir! I a-am going t-to do work n-now!" I was getting ready to get up but Corbin pulled me back down.
"One thing, it's Saturday son, two you were just crying on my shoulder now you ate acting like everything is fine!
Axel doesn't say anything he jerks away from me and runs out the door. I sigh, I swear Axel isn't open. I notice James left he probably left early this morning. I stay at the office cause, what else am I supposed to do? Yeah I am rich but the office is all I need so I live here basically. I hear a knock at my office door around 2 or 3 hours later. I peek out the door and I see Axel. I open the door and we just stand there awkwardly. Axel moves towards me and hugs me.

Corbin POV-

Axel pretty much lives in his office. Barley goes home with James. I check up on him everyday but he wasn't here today. I ask James where was he.

"Well I am spending my nights with Echo and Bradley since Axel pretty much lives here," James reply's.

"Can you take care of the office for me James, I need to go find Axel," I tell him. James has a shocked when I said that.

"Y-you sure da-"

"Yes I am sure!" I yell by accident. I walk out the door to head over to Axel's house. I first call him to check up on him.

Axel's POV-

I am sitting on the bathroom floor, helpless. I can't move and I hurt like hell. All I can do is just lean over to puke and lift my arm up for my phone. My whole body is covered in pink patches. I have never experienced pain like this. I have no lotion so I can't put it on the spots, can't move, James is at work, and I have no car.

Shit....Corbin is calling me. I can't let him know I am sick.

"H-hello?" I answer trying not to sound pitiful.

"Axel are you alright?" Corbin asks.

"Y-yeah," I reply. I can feel throw up coming up my throat. I quickly hang up and I puke in the toilet. Corbin keeps trying to call me but I don't answer. Around 10 minutes later I hear a familiar voice.

"A-axel?" Corbin asks.

What the fuck, Corbin came here. I can't let him see me like this. I don't respond not wanting him to know I am in there. My phone starts ringing, it's Corbin. Shit.

"You can't hide from me Axel!" Corbin says smartly. "Now can you please open this door!"

"I-i can't move s-sir!" I yell back best as I can. "I have a-a key f-for the bathroom i-in my room!"

He leaves for a few minutes and comes back with the key and opens the door. His face expression made my mood change from bad to worse in a split second.

"You have hives Axel..." he says. Corbin walks up to me and tries to reach for my hand.

"D-don't touch me s-sir!" I yell. He jerks his hand back. "It h-hurts when I g-get touched."

"How am I supposed to get you to the hospital!"

Hospital....that sent shivers down my spine. I hate the Hospital, from being crushed from a house as a kid and having to go, then when I got shot.

"N-no I am f-fine!" I yell the best I can.

"Payne, you are legit on the floor and you can't move!"

Corbin figures out a way to pick me up and he takes me to the hospital. We first the office to get his car but then the hospital. Turns out I did have hives, it was caused from me overworking and being stress from work
