this post says controversial things about a popular ship. specifically catradora. if you're here to yell at me, please leave. this is not me being against catradora. this is me discussing my thoughts and feelings on the ship now that i've seen season two. please be nice? and keep in mind this is probably the only post i'll make on the subject, so you don't need to unfollow or anything.

okay so now that i've finished season two? my feelings on catradora are uh.

because on the one hand, i see the romantic vibe. i understand why it's shipped. i ship it!

...i think.

i'm not sure anymore, honestly. because some of it just seems... off to me.

i'm okay with enemies to lovers. i am! and i was okay with it entirely in season one! but something about it just makes me... i'm not sure. it feels a little off to me.

that's why i personally prefer other ships now. i prefer scorptra, as you all know, for the reason that it's basically what i wish catradora was.

catra and scorpia do not have a perfect relationship. this is clear. however, i find it a lot less... off, because they are not actively trying to murder each other. catra is not actively manipulating scorpia— yes, their relationship is strained, but we don't see active manipulation and catra is also shown to be genuinely getting closer to her. i really enjoy the complexity of their relationship. and i'm not entirely sure if i enjoy catradora's anymore.

that's not to say i don't see catradora. i personally don't see them as siblings, as i do think there's a sort of chemistry there. i also see chemistry in the fact that glimmer views catra as that kind of femme fatale type. however, i don't think catradora or glitra should be shipped right now, as there are obvious problems in their relationship.

and honestly, i'm not sure if catradora ought to be endgame even with a redemption arc, considering the things they've done to each other. that's the part i'm conflicted on. obviously, in my personal wish i would want scorptra and maybe glimmadora, but i can't decide if i would be actively against catradora being endgame.

does anyone have thoughts on this? not in an argument way— i'm interested to see other people's thoughts on this. and again— please be polite about it? i'm just curious
