The next morning, I woke up with a different set of emotions. I wasn't sad this time around and I noticed that my sheets were not stained from last night. Rather, I felt a sense of new energy and hope. The revelation of this so called "Chronicler" was a comforting thought and one that would stay with me for a very long time... Until this mystery was solved. But before I was to start my day with everyone else, I was going to have some time to myself and compose myself this time. Additionally, these recent dreams were so important to me that I decided to write them down into my dream journal. Remembering my dreams would be a big help for if I was to go back in pursuit of Ruth in the future.

A few paragraphs of writing in my dream journal and I was done. I stepped outside my room on the upper balcony to see every current resident of the fortress sitting in a line of chairs on the lower floor. What was more strange was that there was a lecturn set up beside the lift column and Scarlett was up on that lecturn. But the most fascinating sight had to be the banner clipped the lecturn that said, "Bring Ruth Back". It must have been that after I had walked off to Sindo, giving up on my day, Scarlett might have told of what was going on. Everyone must have questioned her, especially after Selvian spoke to me yesterday with a weird tone. My belief is that there were a lot of guards yesterday that noticed there was something wrong with me. A part of me wanted to rush down there and join them all but another part of me wasn't ready yet. The sight of the row of chairs and lecturn was really overwhelming. I made up my mind and went back into my room. I was eventually going to go down but first, I was going to get a few materials of my own in case I was asked to say something or even do something. I didn't want to look like an idiot to all the new guests... I wanted to look the mistress with purpose... The one that I used to be and I one that I am now.

I then marched down the stairs with a whiteboard, some pens and a banner that I very quickly put together myself, saying "Make The Fortress Great Again". When I reached the bottom of the chairs, there was a huge clap and cheer from everyone, all except from Scarlett who was quietly admiring the materials I brought with me, she was also getting ready to speak. Then she said, "Oh hail our mistress of light". Hang on! She never called me the mistress before, neither one of light. I don't think she ever used my name. She would only prompt me to get my attention. So I got the idea that maybe the old guards told her that they always called me the mistress. But then she continued, "The one we witnessed struggle, the crushing tears we all felt when thou had resigned to sleep". I looked to the chairs and saw then that all the guards had gotten into a sleeping pose, as if to act yesterday's disappointment out. Then Scarlett went on, "One should never have to bare our mistress of foundation struggle. All shall come forth and offer their strengths to make thou great again".

Scarlett noticed that I had stopped on the bottom of the stairs rather then joining her at the lecturn. She she went to me, grabbed me by the arm and shifted me over to the far side of the lecturn where I would be in a central position, but not in anyone's way who wished to speak. The first guard that came up was Selvian, who was like a Scarlett of the old days. Selvian's offer of support was, "I would like to be your second in command on the battlefield". Every guard had a piece to say and each of their unique dialogue is depicted in my mind:

Selvian: "I would like to be your second in command on the battlefield".

Harry: "We'd like to build you new machinery".

Joseph: "And revive the old for some kicks".

Loretta: "I'd like to cook for you".

Ollie: "And I'd like to make some sloppy ploppy porridge for Ruth".

Bianca: "I'd like to talk to Ruth and convince her of the truth".

Mr. Rude: "I'd like to spit at zis Ruth!".

Horace: "I'd like to eat Ruth!".

Lex: "And Sandy and I would like to offer you support on anything you need".

Sindo: "And finally I, I would like to bring you over to the library after this and show ya some more helpers on their way".

I decided that it was more important to go with Sindo that it was to make the plan... Because what if these mysterious extra helpers were already on there way? It was best to wait until everyone was in until we would start making the plan. So I said to the masses, "I won't be long this time, please wait until I come back. Sindo is going to show me to maybe some more worthy warriors to join us". So off I went with Sindo back to the crystal ball. The quietness of the room was soothing and especially made a difference after being amongst the crowd in the central room. "So now, take a look", whispered Sindo, "There are two scenes for you to watch".

The first scene was at Chadstone shopping centre, a place close to my parents house. It was my friend Jasmine and there she bumped into Taylor Henderson. They shook hands but then apparently Jasmine told Taylor that I was in danger again... But how did she know when no one from the fortress had told her. I suspected that it could have been a mental sign from someone like the Chronicler. Taylor then took Jasmine's hand and started running for his car, the crystal ball scene then showing them driving down the main road leading to the fortress. Then the crystal ball had transitioned into the second scene where there were a different set of characters. It showed a fictional lookind island, closely resembling N. Sanity island where I went to in early 2012. It was Coco Bandicoot's computer that had some sort of alert on it, saying "Karla's Fortress Under Attack, Please Help". The crystal ball then showed Coco talking to Crash who then phoned up Cortex. But I thought they were enemies? Maybe although Crash and Coco were asked to help, they remembered the special bond that Cortex and I held when I was over there.

That was it for the crystal ball scenes... The crystal ball had then gone dark. "So, you see? I could sense some more company nearby", said Sindo. So I could join the masses back the lecturn, I asked Sindo if he could take the new five through the security. "Sure thing Madam B. And then I'll get them to join you wit' all the others". When I had got back to the central room, all the guards were repeating their vows but after the last one, there was this strange voice that had echoed from the distance, "And who is this Ruth anyways? If I hereby find out, I'm gonna find 'er and pull 'er teeth out!". Then Scarlett yells "Dreamy Karla's Grandpa!". I remember that grandpa being the evil dentist whom had tried to kill me back at the shed in the woods on the white isle. Although I thought this reunion would be terrifying, it was actually a joyous reunion with the grandpa "Oh my goodness, what happened?", asked Scarlett. "I've changed for the better", replied Dreamy Karla's grandpa, "I got therapy for mah moods and now I feel like a sprightly young fella who wants to support the right people".

Scarlett had then re-introduced me to Dreamy Karla's grandpa. "Oh I remember you", he said to me, "I tried to snag you on the dentist chair last time we met". Although he said he had changed, I still wasn't too sure about that... I was planning on giving him a wide berth until he took some time to prove it. Uh oh, flashback! I just realised that the situation with me and Ruth was the same with Dreamy Karla's grandpa and me, the only difference is that I didn't hurt Ruth but still, she was scared of me. I thought to myself, "I don't want to be like Ruth"... So then I approached Dreamy Karla's grandpa, shook his hand and welcomed him into the fortress community. The joyous welcome was interrupted by Sindo, hurking and hacking. "What's up Sindo?", I thought. "Oh nothin', just a lot of coughin' in my old age. I did want to say though that someone seems to be at the door". I nodded at Sindo. "Remember though? No matter who it is, they go to the security centre first. So Sindo agreed that he'd be the one to take the yet to be identified newcomers there.
