Ruth shot out of that portal at great speed and landed on the grounds of the ancient ruins, which didn't look so scary anymore. The portal had then disappeared, closed up for good and there seemed to be no more trace of Convexity or its evil in this world. She had landed on the grass at the foot of the cliffs, at the entrance to the cave. Although it was the ancient ruins, the grass was a golden-green colour and the sun was shining through the thick twisting olive vines. In the way that Ruth landed, Jasmine and I were still in-tact, lying upwards. Our weights now started to have an impact on Ruth and she found it difficult to get up. "Hey guys, could you like... Wake up?", she said in a stuttering tone. There was then a slight groan coming from me. "Actually, it's fine. Both of you stay asleep... I'll carry you... It shouldn't be too far away".

Just as well Ruth assumed that the river was the way to get home, otherwise we'd be stuck at the ancient ruins for ages but then when she approached the river, there was nothing there. She puffed and panted in exhaustion, looking around slowly to see if there was a boat anywhere in sight... So even my old boat was gone...? It wasn't long before she did then catch sight of a boat coming down the river, a bigger, newer boat than what I came with. It was beautiful. It was mainly white with some gold rims around the edges for decoration and red sails that would flutter with the wind. Hanging off the flag, there was Selvian, exuberantly waving at Ruth. She waved back as the boat approached the bank of the river, pulling up in front of her.

"Get in chap!", yelled Sindo from up at the crows nest, where he was tired securely to stop him from falling down from his navigating position. "Ooh yeah, yer wonderin' why I'm up here? I think I can see stars!". There was another man on the other side of the crows nest, "yes, lots of 'em!" added Orville. Ruth didn't know what to say, she was speechless at the service she and sudden respect was getting from the guards. When Ruth set foot on the boat, Ollie came out of the cabin to officially greet her. "There was a lil' ol' fairy that told us something about you... Or was it just to expect you? Er no, it was just a measly little dream last night... Anyways, come! The captain wants to see you!".

"It's warm in here", said Ruth "And I'm still holding these girls". Ollie chuckled. "Oh, just put 'em down on the bunk for now and you can pick 'em back when we pull into the dock". So Ruth gently lay me and Jasmine onto a bunk each while she then followed Ollie into the captain's room. "Eugh, I haf to zee dis stupid Ruth dat everyone cares so much about", muttered the captain under his breath. "No captain! Remember what we spoke about!", reprimanded a lady with an italian accent. "Ok fine, Loretta... You greet dem". She shook her head at Mr. Rude. "No Mr. Rude, you have to greet them". Ruth then came up to Mr. Rude's seat and tried to shake his hand, only to receive a very hard and hurtful handshake from him. "Mr. Rude! Gosh!", complained Ollie, "Sorry about all that jabber, Ruth". She responded with "that's okay". Mr Rude wasn't looking happy. "No! It iz not okay! Now let's go!".
