Earlier in the morning: "Erh, ugh... My head hurts", said Ruth as she woke up from a seemingly bad dream. She looked outside her window and then back towards her pillow. "Why am I having bad dreams so often?", she asked herself, "And they always seem to be about Karla". Then she gave a frustrated sounding grunt, additionally having the temptation to hit herself on the head. She then thought to herself, "Maybe these dreams won't go away until I see what Karla wants but I don't want to... I mean, I can't. I don't have the time for her". And then she looked out the window a second time, focusing on a bird in the distant tree. "But then what if she really is in danger? Alright, you know what Ruth? Just suck it up... Go find the teddy bear and the bunny and just... Get this all this crap sorted out".

It was a few weeks since the ordeal at Ruth's workplace but Selvian and Bianca were still camping out in the tent. "Man, is this Ruth ever going to come out of her shell?", asked Selvian. "I don't know Selvian. You heard Ruth before, even if we did decide to stay here, she'd never come and speak to us. I think she's off with Karla forever", answered Bianca. "Yeah I know, it's sad really. Maybe we should just go home", suggested Selvian. So Selvian and Bianca set foot for their car, so they could drive it to tent, making it easier to pack things, rather than having to haul heavy bags from the tent to the car but as they were approaching the car, that's when Ruth was there in her work outfit and she caught sight of them and signalled for them to come to her.

"Ruth? We thought you dumped her", thought Selvian. Then Ruth gave a long, heavy sigh. "I still don't think it's going to work out for us but then I keep having these bad dreams about Karla and they won't go away. In fact, they're happening more and more and I just can't stand it anymore, so I've decided to go with you guys and see what's wrong". Selvian and Bianca both had a lightness about their face now. "So you are going to come and set the foundations for us then... And make her great again?", asked Selvian. "Yes....", sighed Ruth, "Although I really don't want to, it seems I have to. Just one favour though. Can you guys run past my house? I would like to change into something more comfortable". So Ruth joined Selvian and Bianca and even offered to help them pack, in which her offer was accepted. It was only a short matter of time before Ruth got home, zipped out of her work clothes and got back into the car to go to the fortress with Selvian and Bianca.

"Whoa, it's massive", said Ruth as they were driving on the main road, with the fortress being seen in the near distance. "But at the same time, it looks like a school! How can she manage every single building at once?". Selvian shrugged his shoulders, "That's why she needs you, so she can have all the energy to zip around to every building and keep it all in order". Just then, Bianca pipped in, "Um guys, look up to that cliff. There's some weird purple smoke and... LOOK OUT! STOP THE CAR!". Everyone was gasping. "It's a ravine!", cried Selvian, "There's been an Earthquake. Oh it's true, the dark armies have come! Oh save us, wise one". Looking to the backseat, Ruth was seen gritting her teeth in shock horror, she was paralysed, she was speechless. She could not respond to anything that Selvian or Bianca said. But then, she uttered some words, "Oh my gosh, Karla, is she okay?". Both Selvian and Bianca didn't have a good answer for her, all they could answer was "We sure hope so".

"Maybe we should drop into the fortress and check on everyone", suggested Selvian. "That's exactly what we're doing you furry numbskull. We need to let everyone know, especially Karla, that Ruth is finally here for them... She could put an end to the dark armies!". Ruth had shrugged her shoulder in confusion. "But I'm just your average teenager, what can I do that no one else can?". Selvian gave her a slight grin, "You will see in time, you will see". That time had come pretty soon, just as Selvian, Bianca and Ruth had stepped foot into the main foyer to see everyone in a hectic scramble. Some guards were running, others were leaning their heads on walls and crying. Ruth didn't know what to do and so she just hid behind Selvian and Bianca. "What did we ever to do betray you?!", someone yelled. "We're sorry for the way we treated you! Just come back... Please!". Another one goes, "Don't leave me this way!".

Although Ruth was still unsure of what to do in order to calm everyone down, she approached each guard, one by one, and put briefly put her hand on their shoulder. As her hand remained on their shoulder, they stayed quiet but as she took her hand off and moved on to someone else, they would start wailing again. "We have no leader man!", cried Ollie. Then Sindo slowly approached Ruth and in a low, foreboding tone, emphasised the fact that "we are all in grave danger". Ruth had literally stopped in her tracks and she was once again shaking and chattering but then she stood up, proud and tall, she said, "All of you stay here and be safe. I'm going to go out there by myself and look for Karla".
