▓ ━━━━━ ❄ 🖤 🇺🇲 In voughts eyes, John Gillman was to be made the physical representation of what America is supposed to be as a hole. Elley was supposed to represent the blue that engulfs the stars, vigilance, preseverance and justice. The two were meant to be raised as the two unstoppable forces of America. What happened in their young years that made Elley no longer apart of it but Homelander.

          What does the American flag mean? Does it mean freedom? Does it mean land of the free? Maybe it's the same thing for everyone? Well for Elley, the flag reminded her that she had the complete opposite, locked away for something she couldn't control. Her parents, though she still loved, gave her a punishment she never deserved. Becoming a human that has insurmountable powers but we that comes fear. And most of her family feared her for the worst and never believed she could be better. At the young age she is she didn't blame them, she was afraid of herself. But with Vought, maybe she can finally overcome the fear in herself?

          Elley Lastings was a child of great shortcomings, unfortunate circumstances and just plain pity. If you had asked her now what he past was like she wouldn't bat an eye and be blunt but growing up and being in the present of each individual situation. She was suprised she even endured such horrible things vought put her under. Probably the only reason she didn't go crazy and ruthless was because she had someone to go through with.

          Homelander. John Gillman.

          But she had something else he didn't and it was what ultimately defined how they viewed the world amongst them later on.

          Family.

          Something the unfortunate child needed the most if not genuine affection.
