~Nobody's POV

A week went by since Natsu was in hospital. And Lucy was waiting everyday to see if he had woken up already .

He didn't.

Not yet.

And it scared Lucy that maybe he wasn't even going to wake up. Of course saying that was stupid. Everyone looked afraid.

She sat on a chair near the bed. Nothing was the same without him. The mansion felt lonely after she said the maids and butlers could take days off. Of course they still live in the house, but still.

Zeref heard of the accident and came to visit Natsu as soon as possible. He brought Wendy with him and she cried when seeing Natsu.

Zeref took the company over again. He was beginning to think Natsu hated his work and let him take over when he was done with it. But he did it in a heartbeat. For him, for Wendy, for Mavis.

Natsu's crew tried to visit everyday too, but sometimes they just couldn't. Work is stressful and of course the mafia needs more security overall. Of course we have the illegal stuff to handle too.

Even Sting went to visit him. He just couldn't believe it. Somebody seriously managed to hurt him. The look on his face saddening when he saw Natsu. His clenched fist and gritted teeth were everything.

Gray and the boys ruled the mafia till he would wake up.

Everybody knew that Natsu was lying in the hospital. The news spread very fast. Many interviewers tried to talk to one of his best friend and even Lucy. But the doctors made sure to keep them outside.

Some business people even tried this opportunity to overthrow him. He didn't rule Dragneel Inc. now. But that was where they were wrong. A Dragneel was stille ruling it, and he won't show mercy with his rivals.

Luckily, mafia leaders aren't dumb enough to attack FTM. They could handle it themselves without him. Now anyways.

Lucy didn't eat much and barely talked. She talked, but that was mostly when she was with Natsu. But she refused to even shed a single tear after she paid a visit for the third time.

She promised to be strong for both. She will support him in his fight, trying to give him hope. And she believes he could do it.

She was holding his hand and just stared at him. Sooner the guys, including Gajeel, came inside.

Gajeel was released after a couple days. He only had a broken arm. Compared to Natsu that was minuscule.

Lucy turned her head to them, tilting her head. They never came in the afternoon. "Let's talk," Gajeel said.

He didn't say something about it either. Lucy nodded and took one last glance at Natsu.

"Be right back," she whispered.

She followed them to a private room.

"What happened?" Gray demanded.

Gajeel sighed.

"We were just on the party, watching everything carefully, sometimes drinking something and dancing a bit. Nothing was out of place. We went to meet each other at 11:00 pm like we told each other to. The party ended quickly after we left, we found that suspicious.

"We went to spy on the inside again, but that was a big mistake. They were expecting us. Everywhere they threw sharp things at us and sometimes they fired a bullet. Normally we could dodge everything, even the bullets.

"But there were just too much of them. So we fled and they chased us. We were wounded, but managed to escape from them. Natsu was close to fainting because most of the knives and bullets were aimed at him. I quickly called the hospital, even though we swore to never call them. This was necesarry. Natsu and I fainted and then I woke up here.

"I remembered the assassins who were chasing us. That was the Stone family. The best assassin family in out country. They were working with the King, meaning the King wanted us dead."

Everyone looked at him speechless. They couldn't believe the King would do such unforgivable thing. Lucy was the first one to react.

She stood up, gritted her teeth clenched her hands. Her eyes only showed hatred.

She gave off a scary aura, and even the boys felt it. They never felt such an aura, not even from Natsu when he was mad.

"And here I was thinking the king was a nice person," she said, adding a low and dark chuckle.

She went to the door of the room. Before she walked out she turned around and faced the boys. Her hatred stare wasn't directed to them, but it was still intimidating.

"Search those assholes. Kill them. don't spare a single assassin of that family. Only the innocent, probably the woman and children."

She turned around and left, letting the boys drop their jaw.

"Woah..." Laxus said, with goosebumps all over his body.

"She is scary," Jellal concluded, "Especially when she's angry. Almost made me think of Erza."

Gajeel snickered. "Got scared of your own slave?"

Jellal gritted his teeth, tilting his head. "She's a member now. Give her some credits, man."

He shrugged.

Gray clapped his hands together, getting everyone's attention.

"You heard the queen. Let's fullfil that task," he said, a slow smirk forming on his face.

"She isn't the queen, dumbass," Gajeel said. Gray shook his head and grinned.

"Not yet indeed. But eventually she will be above us. What she and Natsu are going to order, we obey."

Jellal and Laxus nodded, but Gajeel still didn't understand it. He raised his eyebrow and his expression says enough.

Jellal sighed. "Who is the leader of the mafia now?" he asked, obviously a rhetorical question.

"Natsu."

"Right. And what is Lucy to him?" Laxus said.

After awhile Gajeel made an 'o' face. Then he smirked. Funny how small things could change so fast.

"It's about time."

Gray made a signal with his hand and the rest followed him outside.

Lucy was still giving off a scary aura. Every nurse in the hallway held their breath in until she passed them. Lucy closed her eyes, inhaled and exhaled. "They are going to pay," she muttered and went to Natsu's room.

When she came inside she saw a stranger sitting next to him on the chair. She didn't see him in the mafia, nor in Dragneel. Inc.

The man had a black cape, some bandages around his torso and brown/oranje hair.

(Already know who?)

He noticed someone and stood up, looking Lucy in the eye. Lucy felt immediately intimidated, his boring glance having something menacingly in them.

"Who are you?" Lucy demanded, narrowing her eyes, refusing to acknowledge knowing her could win against her.

"Who are you?" The man said, backfiring her question. Lucy didn't know him, so giving information about herself would be stupid.

"A friend of the man lying on the bed," she said, gesturing her head towards Natsu. She eyed him. Nothing changed. His heartbeat still the same. She slowly glanced to the stranger again. "And you?"

The man sighed and went to Natsu. "A good friend of him." He went to Natsu and wanted to stroke his arm, but Lucy didn't let him.

Lucy picked a dagger from under her clothes. She was prepared the entirely week.

"Don't touch him!" She growled dangerously. "I've never seen you, and I was always with Natsu for the couple months!"

She was already judging him, she knew judging was wrong. But if it is about Natsu, no limits are holding her back.

The man held his hand up in surrender. "A new member of Fairy Tail I see."

Lucy stared at him in shock. "Who are you?" she demanded again. How did he know?

"A member myself," he told her, grinning a little bit.

"Then how come I haven't seen you?"

"I was on a mission for awhile. By the way, what's your name?" he asked.

Lucy raised her eyebrows, noticing the different behavior already. He looked more welcoming now.

"Someone. I am not obliged to answer," Lucy responded, he may be a member, but members still could betray.

"You are not following the rule, miss. Every member has to be kind towards another."

"Lucy," she said, not even bothering to say her nickname, kind of expecting a certain reaction to happen once she does.

She wasn't even in the mood to be kind. She saw his eyes widen for a fraction of a second.

"Gildarts Clive," the man finally said.

He went towards the door. "If he wakes up, give this to him," he said and gave her a bag.

Still skeptical she looked inside the bag, but it a small kist with a code in it again.

She looked up, but the man was already gone. She just shrugged and placed it in her bag. She will take it to the mansion later.

She went to look at Natsu for the millionth time already.

She sighed and dropped to the chair. "I miss your obnoxious presence," Lucy said softly, grabbing his hand.

She stared at his face, trying to memorize every single detail. So focused she didn't even notice a doctor coming in.

The doctor cleared his throat. Lucy turned to him and noticed a nurse behind him.

"It is time to change the food tubes," the doctor said. It was an everyday routine to do.

(Don't know what happens when someone is in hospital. So I am probably wrong about everything I write about)

Lucy narrowed her eyes. They both had a tattoo under their palm and both tried to hide it behind their long sleeves. The clock behind her told her it was still fifteen minutes earlier than normal.

Lucy nodded slowly. "Can you give me 5 minutes before you do it, please?"

They looked at each other, after a while they nodded and left. Lucy didn't waste a single second and called Gray immediately. She explained about the weird marks and how they looked like. When she ended the call Gray and the rest already were in the room.

"Where did you see those marks, bunny girl?" Gajeel asked. Lucy pointed at the palm of her hand.

Both Gajeel and Gray smirked, while Laxus's and Jellal's eyes were filled with pride.

"Yep, the Stone family. They came to finish their prey what they failed before." Gray said.

"Natsu really really was good in training you. Always seeing through every little detail." Jellal said.

After five minutes they came back. Their eyes widened when they say Gray, Gajeel and Laxus in a row, blocking the path to Natsu.

Jellal slammed the door shut from behind them. Shocking them again. There was no way to go out.

"Remember me?" Gajeel snorted.

The so called doctor let his notebook fall and immediately went for an attack. The so called nurse did the same. Running away was not an option.

Only there was one little problem for them. They weren't trained that good. After what seems like a second Jellal and Laxus both had them trapped, holding their arms painfully behind their back.

They didn't scream however. That would be stupid. If they weren't real doctors and nurses and they called for help, their cover is exposed to everyone. "Why do you want Natsu dead?" Gray demanded.

The woman had difficult time answering. We... Arghh... we were ordered by the king," she said with a disgusted tone.

"If you hate him that much, why follow his order?" Laxus said form behind the man he was holding.

They both loosened their grip a little by so that they could talk normally. "They would give us great money, in Exchange for killing Natsu Dragneel."

Gajeel snorted. "Then you guys sure know how to fail a mission," he mocked. "Why did the king even want him dead?"

"We don't know. He said something about him gaining too much power. Power that easily could overthrown him."

The crew chuckled.

Lucy came between Gajeel and Gray, glaring at them. And the boys let her. She pointed at them. "You guys are walking on a thin line. The choice to agree to your deal with the king is so stupid! Everyone knows how dangerous he is. Did you really think you could kill him?"

"I don't see him alive now, do I?" the man said, a sickening grin on his face.

She walked to him with only some inches separating them.

He was taller, but she held her head high.

"Just you wait. He will be alive, in fact, he still is. We will stop you if we must. You are in his domain, his territory. We will haunt you down and kill you till there isn't any dust left."

And let me tell you this. The threat was real. And coming out Lucy's mouth made it double so scary.

But the man didn't let him get so scared easily. "And who do you think you are. You are just a pathetic woman, who probably is nothing to him. I bet you gave yourself to him. What did he do? Saving you and now you owe him your life?"

The next moment he felt something stinging on his cheek. Lucy slapped him. Her eyes were fully clouded with hatred and rage.

"Watch your mouth douchebag! I know what I am to him and it's none of your business. You are an idiot to step even a foot in this room," she said and turned around to leave.

"Do it!" she said and the boys dragged them outside. "Watch your back. We will come for him and yo. You can't watch him all the time. And when you don't, that will be your greatest mistake!"

After 19 minutes the crew came back and wiped the things off their hands. Lucy sighed, she became less affected with the things they did in secret. She felt her skin thickening. And it was good, however she didn't want to lose her feelings.

After some moment she stood up. "We are going to take him to the mafia," Lucy said.

The boys looked a bit wary about the idea. "But our doctor isn't exactly kind, and if there is trouble we don't know what to do," Gajeel said.

"Everything is better than him staying here."

They became speechless, and they knew she was right. "That's what I thought."

Then an idea popped up. "Natsu has a nurse in his mansion somewhere. She treated me last time. Se can take care of him."

"But we aren't going to let him rest in his mansion. We are going to let him in the secret room in the base," Gray added.

Lucy rolled her eyes. "How many secret halls do you have?"

The boys shrugged. "Lost count myself."

So after discussing many things they agreed that Akame, the nurse, will treat her.

...

They were in the secret room and Akame was with another person. Much to their surprise Akame already knew who Natsu was.

She sighed and stroked Natsu's cheek. They had a bed prepared with all the stuff.

"You baka. Always so reckless." Then another woman came with pink hair.

"And who are you?" Lucy asked. "I am Porlyusica. I hate every kind of human," she introduced. Lucy was staring at her confused, but didn't ask. Why are you a doctor then, she wanted to ask.

"She is the mafia nurse and is one of the best. She will help Ms. Akame," Jellal added.

Out of all the boys he would be the most polite. Porlyusica only nodded. It was time for supper so everyone already bid Lucy goodbye.

She was still in Natsu's room.

She told him her everyday story, like the past 6 days.

She chuckled. "You know what is funny, Natsu? I never expected you would be such an impact on my life. Gray and the others are treating me very good. They would listen to my commands, even though I don't know why. Gray is ranking higher than me... but nevertheless, everyone misses you."

Lucy decided to make it not too long.

"I feel awful. I miss you. Did you already fight back the monsters? The monsters who want you to give up? I know you can do it. I believe in you... I... I... love you."

She wiped away her moist eyes and kissed him on the forehead. She was called by Erza, who wanted her to eat.

She waved at him. "Goodbye."
