"Well now, it seems my favorite wolf and little bug have safely returned, when I noticed that the windmill at the shrine began spinning, I instantly knew that it was the work of you two, I'd like to thank you on behalf of the Satomi house and the Canine warriors for defeating the Crimson Helm and restoring the divine wind, I wish there were some way I could repay you."
With the Gale Shrine safe and in the hands of Princess Fuse and the Canine warriors, all that Amaterasu needed to do know was make it quickly to the moon cave, and that's what she did.
However, upon making it out of the Shrine, Issun mentioned how the festival should be starting soon.
"Hey you know, if I could Sakuya a little tipsy then maybe I could, you know, heh heh, you know what, I feel like a new man now, let's go!"
Amaterasu felt embarrassed, Issun's fantasies about getting Sakuya drunk was enough to bug her.
As she got those thoughts out of her head though, she quickly made her way back to Kamiki village.
By the time they made it, the full moon has already risen, but, there was a festival going on, but everyone did seem angry.
From the sound of things, Susano had already finished off the whole 8 purification Sake.
"I don't care if it's so special, I couldn't help myself, I just had to drink!"
Things were a total disaster.
Susano refused to come out, the whole 8 purification was all gone.
"Orochi, look, I'm to blame for all of your misfortunes, for it was I who committed such an unspeakable act at the moon cave, I was the one who brought Orochi back to life, I have brought utter destruction upon this world, I was sick and tired of it, about how I'm a 'descendant of Nagi', I just wanted everyone to shut about it, I wanted to prove it was all a lie by removing the sword used to seal Orochi, Tsukuyomi, but it seemed that the legend itself was true, and I've unleashed an unspeakable evil, an evil that cursed and consumed all of Nippon, due to that, I fled to the village out of fear and I blocked its entrance with a boulder and hid underground, after all that, I tried running here, there, everywhere, but the gods wouldn't leave me be, they all just stared down at me, they it be known that I'd never be forgiven, at least, not until I slew the dreaded Orochi."
As Susano cries in his house, a loud roar shook the village, Hayabusa looked to the air as well, even as the elements of Orochi we're summoned, a sinister arrow formed in the sky, and flew, Amaterasu and Hayabusa worked hard to protect the villagers, Amaterasu got the villagers out of the way as Hayabusa saved Mushi from the arrow.
With no other target, the arrow struck Kushi's house.
Kushi would be sacrificed to Orochi to protect the village.
She didn't know what to do at first, but, as she ran into her house and changed into a white robe, she also brought out her famous sake, Thunder brew.
It may have not been the 8 purification Sake, but it'd be worth a shot.
As Kushi ran out of the village, Mr.Orange tried to stop her, but he was too late.
Everything was a complete disaster, yet Susano refused to do anything about it.
Amaterasu knew that she would have to do something about this mess if Susano wouldn't.
As Amaterasu goes to see Kushi in Shinshu field, she finds her gasping for breath.
Kushi didn't want see Nippon suffer due to Orochi anymore.
While Issun saw her as a crazy with that logic, Amaterasu only fulfilled Kushi's wish by bringing her to the moon cave.
Time was of the essence, there wasn't a second to lose.
Amaterasu quickly hurried to the moon cave with Kushi riding on her back.
Yet as they made it to the moon cave, Waka used the Serpent Crystal to break the barrier to the moon cave and with a tune on his flute, the Serpent Crystal's Powers activated and the path to the moon cave was open.
Waka planned on defeating Orochi himself, but Amaterasu knew that Waka would get himself killed if he tried.
Unfortunately, he was struck by Orochi as Orochi came out to claim his sacrifice, Kushi.
While he wasn't injured too badly, he'd be unable to fight Orochi, especially since Amaterasu ran in after Kushi, causing the barrier to come back up, leaving Waka out.
As Waka left though, he trusted that Amaterasu would be able to defeat Orochi.
With no where else to go, Amaterasu turned away from the barrier and went deeper into the moon cave.
Unaware that Susano planned on trying to get into Moon Cave as well.
However, due to the stairway crumbling away, Amaterasu only had one way to go, and that was down.
As she jumped though, upon landing, she was interrogated by two imps.
One with a mask bearing the katakana イ (I) and one with a mask bearing the katakana へ (He).
"So it's you, I never thought I'd see your face here, besides, I could easily spot you from a mile away, why your just a dumb old wolf, hehe, why you gotta be the dumbest looking wolf I've ever seen before!"
"You poor wolf, to just stray so far and end up in this place, you really are dumb!"
"Hey, I don't think Fluffy over here is too much of a threat."
"Well what should we do with him?"
"Hm, you think Fluffy is hungry?"
"I don't know feed him, maybe then he'll go away."
"Yeah that's a good idea."
As one of the imps throws some food at her, Amaterasu seems rather annoyed and tries again.
"What do you want Fluffy, this area beyond this gate is no place for a mutt like you, now run off and play somewhere else!"
Amaterasu knew she'd need some way to get in.
So she began to look around, however, while searching, she was attacked by a black imp, wearing a mask that bears the katakana ホ (Ho).
However, while it did look intimidating, it wasn't able to hurt Amaterasu in the slightest.
However, when Amaterasu defeated it, the black imp left behind a mask.
It was a blank canvas, but this mask gave Amaterasu and Issun an idea.
On the mask, they drew 天 (Heaven).
With this new mask, perhaps they could get past the guards, and to their surprise, they somehow managed to do it.
While exploring, Amaterasu soon finds a chef, drowning in his soup.
Upon saving him, the chef says that his name is Ajimi (あじみ).
Yet the mask he was hearing had the katakana リ (Ri).
"You see I was cooking with love and tenderness that I completely spaced out and almost cooked my own goose"
"Tender loving care?"
"That is an absolutely fabulous mask you have there though, sweetheart, now that I think about it, how would you like to be my assistant, now you see darling, I have whip up a lip smacking appetizer for Lord Orochi before the time comes for the scrumptious human sacrifice course, I'll make it worth your while if you help me, now then dear, you see, we kinda ran into a wee bit of problem, I was just about almost done until I've run out of my secret ingredients, technically I could just substitute my undying tender love and affection to the meal but, I'm not sure it'd please Lord Orochi"
"Well, technically no one wants their work to suffer, even an artist would know that, hm, you know what, I'll help you out fruitcake."
"Why that's just fabulous news sweetheart, now you see, there's 4 secret ingredients you gotta find, all of them can be found somewhere in the Moon Cave, I need 1 ogre liver, some lips of ice, an Eyeball of Fire, and 1 black demon horn to top it all off, I'm counting on you to bring that all back sweetheart, oh silly me, you'll be needing this key to find them, the rest now is up to you darling."
As Ajimi gave Amaterasu the key, she grabbed the key and quickly ran off to find those secret ingredients.
It didn't take long for Amaterasu to find an Ogre liver though,
However, while still exploring, Amaterasu was attacked by a new monster, Ice mouth, while it was a fearsome foe, she still managed to defeat it.
Thawing the statue she found, even as a constellation appeared, she filled in the missing stars as the next brush god emerged.
"Ah...Amaterasu, origin of all that is good and mother to us all, I have been sealed away by the dark forces and have spent many long years in this cave, as time passed, I was still unable to make my way to freedom, but now, your power has lifted the curse that has been plaguing me, I, Moegami (むうがみ), god of flames, lend you my firey power, burn a new source of light into the obscuring darkness."
With that, Amaterasu gained a new brush technique.
As she explored the rest of the moon cave, she eventually came across lips of ice, but when she was attacked by a fire eye, the battle was fierce, yet she stood victorious and claimed her prize, the eye of fire.
There was only one ingredient now left to find.
After a bit of searching, Amaterasu finally found the last ingredient and with that, as she went back to Ajima.
He added in the rest of the secret ingredients and made an appetizer he thought as worthy of truly the strongest of all demons.
An appetizer that would shock the scales off of Orochi due to how delicious it'd taste,
'Dungheap slimebucket goulash.'
As the meal was carried up, Amaterasu rode with the imps to Orochi's throne.
Upon making it to the throne room, as Amaterasu climbed up to see the throne room, the moment she saw Kushi unconscious, she went to try and save her, but Orochi awakened before she could save Kushi.
"Wild god of the heavens, 100 years have passed since you last imprisoned me here, how is it that now you come back after perishing and becoming stone, 100 years in a cold stony tomb, you certainly reek of decay!"
As Issun threw the sake at Orochi, Orochi gulped it all down, but as he spit the bottle out, he let out a mighty roar but Amaterasu let out an even mightier howl as their battle commenced.
Due to Orochi having a barrier up, Amaterasu couldn't put a dent in him.
But before Kushi could be eaten, Susano soon appeared, standing proudly before Amaterasu and Kushi.
Both of them were rather surprised though to see Susano here.
"Long have I awaited your coming, descendant of Nagi, now we shall fulfill this burning that has consumed us, the descendants of Nagi have kept me imprisoned for 100 years, yet it is that accursed bloodline which shall unleash my true power, a pact between Navi's descendant and I, the great Orochi, shall deliver unto me dark powers, beyond any and all comprehension, let us seal the blood pact now for all eternity, he who seeks power, your first chance slipped through your grasp, but now the time has come for us to seal this eternal bond that we share, speak the words, 'I wish darkness upon this world,' utter those words, utter that prayer unto me and seal our blood pact, and you to shall gain dark powers beyond comprehension, now utter that prayer unto me, let those words come from deep within, recite the words of our blood pact, and I'll make your every wish come true with those dark powers, you'll be unstoppable, feared by all, no one will even dare get in your way, now say the prayer!"
"Oh I shall, I am the descendant of Nagi, behold, Susano, the greatest warrior who ever lived, hear me vile serpent who seeks to harm a helpless women, your time is up, now feel the wrath of my trusty sword!"
Enraged, Orochi attacked Susano, but Susano was able to back against this attack.
By some miracle, perhaps an answer from the gods, the 8 purification sake came out from the empty thunder brew sake.
Now Amaterasu could defeat Orochi and seal him again, once and for all.
As the battle raged on, Amaterasu managed to get all 8 heads drunk and struck them down, but it wasn't enough, Orochi still stood tall and ready to continue fighting.
Yet Amaterasu stood proudly and howled, bringing down a beautiful moonlight to illuminate Susano's sword in a beautiful light and with Amaterasu help, he chopped down the beast's head and cut the last down in half as Kushi fell in Susano's arms.
"Dearest Kushi, just as you devote your life to brewing sake, the way of the sword is sadly all I know, but even so, I have failed, and unleashed that foul beast upon this world, I allowed evil to cloud my judgement, who am I claim the right now to even wield a sword, while there may be no reason for me to live-"
"Oh Susano, why do you look so serious, please, laugh like you normally do, just looking sad is what makes those evil monsters turn up, so please, laugh, laugh like do when you help me harvest the rice every year, please, for me, for us, Susano."
There was a moment of silence before Susano started laughing.
That night though be a night to remember.
The night that the dreadful Orochi succumbed to the onslaught of Amaterasu and Susano.
As a foul and wicked breath left Orochi's twisted body, leaving behind a divine instrument for Amaterasu, the powerful sword it self, Tsumugari (つむがり).
It was the reborn form of Tsukuyomi, the sword that was consumed by Orochi when Orochi was freed.
Armed with this new blade, Amaterasu prepared for further adventure.
It was at that moment, a mysterious evil force emerged from Orochi's corpse, splitting off in all directions and flying off into the distant night sky, at that time though, no knew what kind of forces left Orochi's body.
Truth be told, real chaos had yet to visit the world, yet for the time being, Kamiki found itself enjoying a new era of peace.
Yet this story is far from over, in fact, this is just the beginning of this.
"Now then Ammy, gimme one of those famous victory bowls of yours!"
As Amaterasu looked to the night sky, she let out a mighty howl as cherry blossoms fell from the sky and by her side.
