There was only one Canine Warrior left to find.
The last Canine Warrior was somewhere in Agata forest.
As Amaterasu made her way to the Agata forest and came across Kokari who has lost his dog again.
He believes though that this time, the work of the fish who was said to swallow the moon's reflection might have also swallowed his dog.
The fish is known as a Whopper.
Amaterasu began to look for Ume, but while looking, she also found Kushi who seemed to be trying to get water to make the 8 purification sake.
"Wait, the 8 purification sake, you mean the sacred drink of ancient legend?"
"That's right, it goes back to the legend of Nagi and Shiranui, the 8 purification sake was a miraculous sake that they used to defeat Orochi, apparently, they got the beast drunk and cut off its heads, it certainly smells strong enough to intoxicate anything, but, I don't know if the legend's really true or not, even so, we still offer sake to the gods at festival time and pray for peace, as you can see, I need to fill this big barrel full of water for all of the villagers, the hard part though is trying to actually get this barrel back to village without Susano's help, for Susano, this barrel would be light as a feather, but I highly doubt I could push it."
Amaterasu used her brush techniques to fill the barrel with water for Kushi.
However, before they could carry it back, they were ambushed by a red imp.
"D-Do you want some of the spring water, s-sorry, I'll be getting barrel out of your way s-soon."
The red imp attempted to attack Kushi, but it couldn't even lay a finger on her somehow.
Susano soon appeared, ready to protect Kushi, while Kushi was rather happy to see Susano come by just in time, Amaterasu knew better than anyone that Susano couldn't take down the imps, let alone even hurt them with a wooden sword.
Amaterasu knew she'd have to use to her brush techniques to get Susano out of this mess.
While Issun was pretending that Susano did all the work, it annoyed Amaterasu a bit, but even so, she knew they couldn't see her divine markings.
However though, Susano soon seemed to get it that something was making his sword stronger, what he didn't get though was that it's been a god all along who's been making his sword better.
As the Canine tracker appeared, Amaterasu knew that Ume was around, but as it went over the water, Amaterasu already knew where Ume was.
As Kokari tries to reel something in, the moment it comes up from out of the water, the Whopper emerges, biting down on Ume.
With the line snapped, Kokari would be needing some help again from Amaterasu to catch the Whopper.
With the first attempt, Kokari managed to catch something, but as he reeled it in, it wasn't the Whopper, but rather a Goby.
So they tried again, thinking that maybe this time it'll be the Whopper.
However, on their second attempt, it wasn't anywhere close to being the Whopper that they saw, but rather it was a River Crab.
Third time's the charm, certainly this time they could possibly catch the Whopper.
While this fish put up more of a fight, when they managed to catch it and reel it in, it was actually none other than the legendary Whopper it self.
Kokari was so excited that he caught the Whopper, Issun even praised Kokari for his catch, but, something felt off.
As Kokari started to tear up, he looked down, defeated.
"How could I ever fish again, I mean, what about Ume, oh it's hopeless, Ume isn't coming back."
Amaterasu couldn't help but feel bad for Kokari, but when she sees the water sparkling, the moon's reflection soon shines upon the water, however, the moon wasn't shining in the sky.
Yet as Amaterasu looked up into the night sky, she soon saw a constellation.
Upon filling in the missing stars, the next brush god soon emerged from the constellation.
"Ah...Amaterasu, origin of all that is good and mother to us all, after your departure, I had to hide myself within the moon's reflection, yet I was consumed by a fish, but even so, I waited patiently for this day, the day I would get to see you again, now that a glimmer has hope has returned, I to have also returned, I, Yumigami (ゆみがみ), god of the moon, cover the earth in pale moonlight, use this light with your own on your journey."
With that Amaterasu now gained the Crescent brush technique.
As the Whopper coughed something up, it seemed that Ume came flying out of the fish's mouth.
Kokari couldn't be happier to see his dog was still alive.
"White wolf, answer me this, how did you manage to bear the Canine tracker, wait, there's a familiar scent in the air, the scent of my former comrades, it emanates from your body, by having the Canine tracker, you accept that your strength shall be tested, I shall be the one to test it!"
While the Canine Warrior Jin (じん), did put up a good fight, Amaterasu still managed to win, even though he couldn't harm her or manage to even touch her.
"I'm aware that Princess Fuse summons me, and while it is my duty to defeat the Crimson Helm, defiler of the Gale Shrine, home of Kazegazi, god of wind, I unfortunately can't go back, for you see, this child and his father saved me from death, I owe my life to them for it as well, here, take my Canine power orb, while I may not be able to go back to Princess Fuse, my power orb shall go back for me in my presence, for now, I shall be spending the rest of my years under the name 'Ume', thank you for your understanding."
