It's just another normal day at Ouran.

Classes, talking with friends, more classes. You get the gist.

I don't have a club that I'm apart of after school, so I usually just go home. Unless the twins invite me to the Host Club.

To be honest, I have a huge crush on Hikaru.

And yeah, I can tell the twins apart. It's quite simple, actually. I'm sure you've figured it out by now, so I won't explain how to do it.

As I'm walking out of the school, Kaoru comes up to me with a smirk. I grow confused, but stop in my tracks.

"Hey, Kaoru, no Host Club today?" I ask, and he seems a bit surprised. He hurriedly hides it well, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"I'm not Kaoru, I'm Hikaru. And yeah, no Club today," he says smoothly, and I squint my eyes up at him.

"Okay..and no, you're not Hikaru. You're Kaoru." I shrug his arm off my shoulders and continue my walk out of the school.

Why would he want to pretend to be his brother? Are they trying to prank me or something?

I feel another arm wrap back around my shoulders, causing me to look up at them. This time it's Hikaru.

"Hello, Hikaru," I say nonchalantly, watching where I'm stepping.

"I'm not Hikaru, I'm Kaoru."

I sigh with a shake of my head. "Sure you are," I say sarcastically, shaking off his arm now too.

Hikaru disappears and Kaoru comes back, casually walking by my side. I nearly roll my eyes at this.

"So, what do you think of me?" Kaoru inquires, still pretending to be Hikaru.

"I like you as a friend, Kaoru. Hikaru is a different story altogether," I state simply, deciding to just answer how I truly feel. Yet leave it vague to keep them guessing.

"How am I a different story?" Kaoru asks, and I'm getting very annoyed at this point.

"Figure it out, Kaoru," I say in slight frustration, walking further ahead to leave them behind.

"Come find me when you're done playing games with me," I call behind me at them, and I can feel the stares of both of the twins as I leave.

I don't understand. Why would they mess around with me like this? Do they seriously think I can be tricked into not knowing which twin is who? I'm like Haruhi when it comes to this. I know which twin is which at all times.

I fix my backpack and put on my headphones, listening to music on the way home. Blocking out everything around me, yet still aware of what's going on. I don't want anything bad to happen to me.

The music calms me down as I go, and I even begin to hum to it after a few minutes. I make it back to my house in ten minutes, where I remove my backpack and start working on my homework. My music still flooding my ears.

I get a text later that night from Hikaru.

I read it and my heart starts to race.

I need to talk to you tomorrow. It's important.

The next day at school, it goes by slowly. I'm anxious to know what Hikaru wants to speak with me about.

I'm still a bit upset at the twins for trying to play me yesterday, but I'm mostly over it. They're pranksters, and I should be used to it.

It's lunch time now, and as I'm strolling through the empty halls, my left wrist gets grabbed. I gasp in surprise as they pull me into a dark closet with them, the door shutting behind me.

They clamp a hand over my mouth so I won't scream, and a familiar scent reaches my nose.

My eyes adjust in the dark lighting and there stands Hikaru. My face heats up and he lets me go, knowing I won't yell anymore.

"Hikaru? Why did you—?"

He cuts me off, not trying to be rude. "Listen, I couldn't wait any longer to talk to you. I wanted to apologize for what Kaoru and I did yesterday."

I nod, suddenly realizing the close proximity we have because of this small closet. I ignore that and speak quietly like him, not wanting to get caught. "It's okay, but why did you guys do that? And with that question, too?"

Hikaru sighs lightly, messing up his hair with his hand in nervousness. I have to hold myself back from squealing at how cute that was.

"I wanted to know how you actually felt about me without me directly asking you. It was selfish of me, I know. And rude. It's just that you make me so nervous that I have a hard time finding my words." He looks so sincere as he stares into my eyes, seemingly a bit desperate.

"It seems to me that you're finding your voice just fine," I whisper as an urge to continue.

He gets the hint and chuckles before he continues.

"I really like you, YN. No, love you. More than friends, I mean. Whenever I'm around you, my heart starts to pound in my chest and I want to prove myself to you. To protect you if I need to. I get jealous if I see some other guy flirting with you. I just want you to be mine. You make me complete in a way I never thought possible."

"That was amazing," I comment in a hushed whisper, chuckling with him.

"Really? Cause I'm just winging it right now," he smiles cheekily at me with a wink.

I blush and giggle, "Either way, I love you too."

Hikaru's grin widens, if possible, before I take a leap of faith and lean up to kiss his lips. I hold onto his collar, and his arms slither around my waist as he kisses me back.

The kiss ends faster than I'd have liked it too, but it was still breath-taking.

We rest our foreheads against one another's and Hikaru whispers to me, our eyes still closed, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course," I whisper back.

Extended Ending!~

The closet door opens and reveals the new couple, who snap open their eyes and gasp slightly in shock.

It was Kaoru, who was looking for the pair. He smirks at them and winks before shutting the door again, and the couple knew he wouldn't rat them out.

They laugh quietly at the encounter, knowing Kaoru will tease them later.
