Oh Captain, My Captain

Crack.
Lightning flashes across the sky.
Boom.
Thunder soon followed.
You shudder and hurry along on your way. You don't want to be late. Heaven forbid you were. Just that thought made you shudder again. You knew what would happen if you were even a minute late. It had happened far too many times.
Arriving just on time, you quickly take your seat at the table." Hello, Mother. Father." Neither answered. Your Mother placed your plate in front of you and you stared at it for a moment. Meatloaf.
Yuck.
You sigh and cut into the atrocious meal, taking small bites and swallowing quickly in the hopes of not having to taste it. Sadly, that plan didn't work and you had to suffer through dinner.
No one in your family spoke a word at dinner time. Your Mother and Father would exchange glances, but nothing more. Finally, your Mother broke the silence.
"[Y/N], we signed you up for the new internship at work."
You knew what your Mother meant when she said that. 'New internship at work' translated to 'You're gonna be an experiment for Hydra'.
Knowing what would happen if you protested, you simply nodded and continued with your meal. Once finished, you looked at your parents." May I be excused?"
Your Father nodded." Yes. You are excused."
Later that night, you decided you couldn't sleep. So, you got up, pulled on a hoodie and jeans, and climbed out the window. You lived in a one story house, which made escape for you much easier than most other kids who tried to sneak out.
You ran to the river. You would always come here whenever you were stressed or just needed some alone time. The river was calming to you in the day, but even more so at night. The moon and stars all reflected off the water as it flowed downstream. Sometimes, if you were lucky, you would see fish swimming with the current. Flowers were everywhere along the bank, all in white and yellow. The grass always seemed to be greener and softer here. This was your little paradise in the middle of hell.
Sighing softly, you sat on a large boulder and closed your eyes, listening to the water and the rustle of leaves. You stayed there for hours on end.
It was the next day before you would go to work with your parents. You were dreading going, but it wasn't as if you had a choice. So you went along without any protesting or issues.
It was only about a ten minute drive, to your dismay. You had willed the car to break down along the way. Or even for your Father to have a heart attack and lose control of the wheel. Anything to keep you from Hydra.
You see, unlike your parents, you despised Hydra. You secretly loved the Avengers and all their work. But there was one Avenger in particular that was your favorite. Steven Grant Rogers, Mr. Captain America.
The perfect blond hair, the full pink lips, the dazzling blue eyes. The abs. He was the epitome of perfection.
"[Y/N]? [Y/N]! Stop daydreaming and get out of the car." Your Mother demanded.
Snapping out of your thoughts, you unbuckled and jumped out of the car. You were standing in front of a large building. It looked suspicious, but was concealed by the forest so no one would notice it.
Your parents led you inside and showed you around a little before taking you to your boss. A scientist. Perfect.
