"Oh shut up, you were so scared." I laughed as nick was driving my car once again. "No, I wasn't." He rolled his eyes, letting out a scoff.

"The what's this?" I laughed and showed him an audi recording I got of him screaming. "OH MY GOD, MAISIE DELETE THAT." He gasped, losing focus on driving.

"Nope." I laughed. "Just admit you were scared of the movie." I paused. "Therefore you had to, jump into my arms for safety." I turned to him, and teased.

"I'm not admitting anything." He shrugged. "Alright then." I looked forward. "Now I'll just assume you acted scared so you could jump into my arms because you're in love with me." I teased him more.

"Maisie, No." He laughed it off. "Okay then admit you were scared." I crossed my arms, and looked at him in anticipation.

"K fine." He sighed. "I'm in love with you." He paused.

"NICHOLAS." I scolded, letting out a groan.

"OKAY FINE. I WAS SCARED." He yelled. "NOW DELETE THAT VIDEO- plEASE" He continued to complain.

"Exactly what I wanted to hear." I tapped my phone, deleting it. "It's gone." I patted his shoulder.

"Prove it." He turned his head, looking at me before bringing his attention back to the road. "YOU DONT NEED PROOF." I argued.

"BECAUSE YOU DIDNT DELETE IT." He scolded. "UGH, I DID." I groaned. "LOOK." I shoved my phone in his face. "Oh." He softly laughed at how loud and wrong he was. "AhHahahHahhahah." I mocked his stupid laugh.

"You are so rude." He switched his mood fast. "PFFFTT-" His tone switch made me laugh in responses

"What time is it?" He asked. "11:32 and I'm hungry." I looked at my phone.

We both looked at each other knowingly, smiles pasted across our faces. "DAIRY QUEEN." We both said in unison.

"YES." I clapped. "The nearest one is up ahead at the light turn." I said with excitement. "Bet." He adjusted himself and prepared to make the turn.

After a couple minutes, he turned into the parking lot of Dairy Queen. He quickly parked as I immediately got out of the car, excited to get ice cream.

"Hurry up and get out!" I opened the drivers door. "Yes ma'am!" He said as he got out. "Such a gentleman." He smiled as I held the door open. "Anything for you, princess." I smiled sweetly as he laughed and pushed my face away.

I proceeded to quickly walk towards the entrance when I turned around to see him scrolling on his phone, taking his sweet time. "WHY ARE YOU SO SLOW LETS GO- THEYRE GONNA CLOSE." I felt anxious as I went to grab his hand and sprint off.

"Maisie, slow DOWN-" He laughed as I dragged him. "Cant hear you." I turned my head to look at him.

As we got to the entrance, I opened the door and walked in to an empty ice cream shop. "We're about to close." The guy at the register said blankly. It's ironic because I hate when people do this back at Red Dragon, but I was desperate for ice cream.

"Yes." I smiled "I know... but, could we just get something quick to go?-" I said practically begging.

"Alright." He shrugged and yawned.

The two of us walked up to the register and quickly ordered what we wanted and proceeded to pay. Tipping him so much extra because I felt bad and I know how it feels.

We soon got our cones and we both got back into the car before Nick drove off back to my house, which was a 7 minute drive. Once he pulled into my driveway after the short trip, we both got out and began finishing what we had left of our ice cream and went straight upstairs.

"MAISIE!" He yelled as I was in the bathroom washing my face . "WHAT-" I ran to find him as he wasn't responding. "WHAT-"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" He quickly embraced me.

"OH- ITS 12??" I laughed and joined his hug. "YES NOW HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY!" He began jumping up and down as we hugged.

"THANK YOU." I said happily and laughed.

We let go and soon walked into my room where I went to my closet to grab a different sweatshirt to sleep in as he cuddled with Sapling on my bed.

"Are you gonna go to bed?" I asked him. "Nah, Im not that tired." He shook his head.

"Wanna watch another horror movie?" I asked with my back turned as I slipped off my current sweatshirt leaving me in just a tank top, quickly slipping on my other sweatshirt. "No, not really...." He said phased. "But I will watch any other movie." He sat up

"Alright." I nodded before walking over to my night stand to grab my laptop and opening up Netflix. I sat beside him and Sapling before I found a random horror movie to tease him around with.

"MAISIE I SAID NO-" He backed away from the screen in fear. "RELAX-" I laughed and turned the movie off. "I was gonna- HASHXCXSHAHAH" I was talking before he poked me in the side, briefly tickling me.

"That's what you get." He said through a smile. "tHatS whAt You GEt." I mocked him as he ruffled my hair in response.

"I hate when you do that." He scoffed. "And I hate when you do that." I shoved his hand away and fixed my hair.

"Whateverrrrr" He said as Sapling cuddled into my chest. We laid back into my bed as I found a random movie, setting up the laptop between us. I quickly adjusted myself and my pillows, as Nick did the same. The both of us trying to get comfortable.

As the movie was starting, I pulled out my phone and quickly checked Twitter to see that the timeline was blowing up with birthday messages and my mentions flooding with tweets.

"Hey, Maisie." Nick spoke up as I heard him pause the movie. I looked away from my phone and turned to him petting sapling on his chest. "Hm?" I slightly yawned.

"What are you gonna do tomorrow?" He asked.

"Not sure." I shrugged. "Every year for my birthday I usually went to the flower fields with my grandma and aunt to have a picnic." I smiled.

"Oh..." He said with a guilty tone. "I'm sorry for asking-"

"You didn't know, it's completely fine." I assured him. "I'm really sorry about them." He mumbled.

"Yeah.. it sucks." I nodded. "A lot." Tears filled my eyes.

"Hey-" He quickly sat up. "Hey, don't cry." He frowned as he laid on a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry." I laughed as tears streamed down. "It just really fucking sucks." I wiped them away, trying to smile through my crying.

"Come here." He opened his arms as I sat up and embraced him. The sound of his voice and his scent feeling like sense of comfort. I began to cry non-stop as he hugged me, rubbing my back slowly and quietly humming little melodies as it eased my mind.

We continued to sit there in silence as I cried, before I let go and looked at him,

"Promise me you won't leave me either." I frowned. "You are honestly all I have left."

"Hey." He cupped my face. "I'm here forever, I lost you when we were younger and I don't plan on losing you again." He looked me in the eyes.

I smiled and began to cry a little more before hugging him again tightly, taking a deep breath. "Man, I fucking hate crying." I laughed through my sobs.

"It's okay, let it all out." He laughed as I continued to wipe my tears on his hoodie as a joke, making him laugh.

"So true." I looked at him and made a serious face as tears continued to stream down.

"MAISIE." He began to giggle as his arms rested on my sides. I smiled at his laughter while Sapling cuddled into my lap and I wiped away more of my tears

I decided to just close my laptop, accepting the fact that we weren't even going to watch the movie anymore, and just decided to go to bed.

"Goodnight, Sunny." He said before getting up.

"Wait-" I stopped him. "Hm?-" He turned and looked at me. "Can you stay?-" I asked awkwardly.

"Uh-" He paused, and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Yeah." He softly smiled before getting back into bed with me.

"Thank you."

He got under my sheets as I set sapling down between us, giving her a couple more chin scratches before I looked at him as he was laid beside me.

"Goodnight, Pandas." I said through a smile.
"Goodnight, Sunny" His smile mirrored mine.
