As I continued to stare more and more at my computer screen, I became enraged, angry. After all this time, I was played, I was a fool.

My fist clench in my lap as I thought about all the time I defended Chopard against myself, Logan and everyone else that doubted him, even though I doubted him first, when I met him.

That pretty face made me choose against my morals and now he played me and I was a fool for ever believing he was different.

Well played, I thought, well played Chopard. Now the game's over and I have to do something about this.

Unclenching my fists, I moved the mouse to play the footage again, then I did it again and again, until I'm certain I watched it over a hundred times.

As I watched the footage over and over again, I checked for the smallest of details, including the time frame, when it happened and the facial features, to see if it's really him, or it might be another guy that looks like him.

All my hope goes out of the window, because everything lines up perfectly, and I'm shocked all over again.

I'm shocked, not only by this, but everything, was this his plan all along? Everything between us was a lie and I fell for it. I don't understand, it all seems real and I actually thought he liked me or something of the sort.

I was vulnerable with him, I trusted him with my feelings, and he used that against me, to make me see that he might be the perfect guy that could do no wrong, so he can stab me in the back later on.

Yes, that was it, that was it all along, he made me like him for his charms so that I won't ever suspect him of doing anything against me.

Logan was right, and I was an idiot for not trusting his word over Liam's. My feelings got in the way of that.

I don't know why I thought this was different, it always ends the same, but in different formats.

Why can't I learn? I asked myself in my head, that it's logic over feelings in everything. Otherwise this is what you get, disappointment and even heartbreak.

"Dammit" I said to myself as I breathed out, trying to calm myself down.

As I sat in my chair, I began to think about what I should do with this discovery. It's obvious that Logan hasn't said anything, otherwise I would be getting phone calls and the board of members would be pounding on the door at this current moment.

Running my hand over my mouth, I quickly come up with three options of what I should do next. One, I should immediately call the police about this, but then people are going to be suspicious about what is happening, and my employees may get distracted.

Two, I can secretly tell the board about this, but then Chopard would probably question the meeting because he's in every meeting and may pick up on something and may get alerted.

Or three, I can confront Liam myself and see how that goes, although he can get defensive about everything and deny it ever being him. Then he would most definitely be alerted.

Shaking my head at the options, I decided to go for number three, because although I want to see him suffer the consequences of his actions. I just want to see if this is all worth it to him. I just want to see that what he told me was a lie or the truth.

One last chance at saving myself some grace, and if it was a lie all along, then I would never forgive myself for letting this happen.

As I quickly got up from my chair, I stormed towards the door, as I noticed that my eyes got watery for some reason, I quickly wiped them with my jacket sleeve as I set out to find Liam, and confront him.

My footsteps pick up as I angrily search the hallway for him, I come across his desk as I look around, and to my surprise, he isn't there. As I thought about where he went after storming out, I figured that maybe he is talking to someone, like Ruby, or he's outside, taking a breath.

Continuing wandering the halls, and basically the entire building, I accidentally ended up in a hallway where it's usually empty and hardly no one goes to, mostly because it's lined with storage units, and there's barely no cameras, so I guess people don't feel safe around here.

Coming around the corner, I figured that I got myself lost because of the blind rage I was feeling. Maybe I was too distracted to see where I was going, who knows.

But, to my surprise, there are people here, and a double surprise is that it's Logan and my ex-assistant, who interrupted the meeting.

Before I can even process this right now, I think fast as I duck behind the corner, hoping that they won't see me or suspect anyone is watching them.

I don't know why I wanted to watch them, I mean, it's obvious because a crazy woman is in my building, but it's also something else, like my guts tells me–I need to stay and hear them.

But then again, my gut instincts told me to trust Liam and look where that landed me.

And speaking of that crazy woman, I ask myself, what is she doing here? I thought for sure she was kicked out of the building, especially after what happened earlier today. I figured she would get the police called on her so that she can learn not to mess with me.

Obviously, that didn't happen and now, she's speaking with my head tech. And what's Logan doing with her? He can't possibly have something to do with her.

Great, I thought, another thing on my plate to deal with. 

Wanting to find out more, and forgetting the original task I put myself to, I stayed behind the wall and listened quietly, luckily, no one is most likely passing by here.

As I listened, making out their words, it seemed like Logan was in the middle of scolding her.

"...like are you kidding me? How stupid was that? I can't believe you, crashing an important meeting like that, now it's going to be harder to get it back"

I frowned as I was confused by what he means by "it", but also picking up on the fact that he's talking to her about the meeting, does he know her?

Questions circled my mind, but I kept listening.

"I'm sorry Logan" The woman apologized, with sincere remorse in her tone, "I wasn't thinking, you know how fired up I get about this. I was mad in the moment and I wanted to show that bitch that I'm better than that no good wannabe pretty boy"

I hear a sigh, most likely coming from Logan.

"It's fine, Anne, this is just going to be a setback for us"

'For us' repeats in my head, does this mean that they have been working together? Since when? I still don't understand this.

But one thing is–I finally remember her name, Anne. She's so forgettable that I forget her damn name.

Anne speaks again, "Okay, I get it, gosh. Can you just go over the plan, so that I'll know when the time is right?"

"Again? Gosh Anne, you really need to listen, I suppose this is why you got fire in the first place" He chuckled as he joked.

"Just shut up and tell me, Logan" She demanded.

I edged closer to the corner as soon as I heard there is some kind of plan between them, and by the sounds of their interaction, it doesn't look like it's in my best interest or the company's.

"Okay" Logan, "You already know this, but I messed with the flies" As he says this, he brought his voice now to a whisper, carefully of others overhearing, "I deleted some, I put in the wrong program, whatever, this would cause chaos in the office. Everyone would be scrambling, including the board of members"

He continues, "And since Hailey would be stressed about this, I know she would stop at nothing to find out who is responsible for this, because this can't be all done by itself, right?"

"Right" Anne agreed.

"And since I'm the head tech, my position would give me insights to what Hailey and the investigators are thinking about, and who they think did this" He paused as he continues, "This would give me the perfect opportunity to plant something in her head, since she wants the problem to go away–"

Anne interrupts, "Wait, what does this have to do with Liam?"

Logan angrily says, "Hush, I'm getting to that, my god, do you interrupt everything?"

"Sorry, then fucking talk faster, can go any slower, nerd?" She argues back.

"Whatever, anyways–Hailey would want the problem to disappear as fast as possible, especially because the launch is soon, so I did a background check on Chopard, I hired someone and the information I found was really useful. I could use it against him, I had to make sure Liam was the one number suspect in her head"

"And plus" Logan added, saying this like it was another casual day for him in the office, "When he joined the team in the first place, I did some things to the flies so that it's wasn't out of the blue for everyone because–"

Anne gasp, as if she discovered Mars, "So that the timing could line up perfectly, and Hailey would have no choice to see that the messed up files started the second Liam got here"

This time, Logan didn't get mad, instead, agreed with her, like he's proud that she's on the same page as him, "Yes, exactly" He praised.

"And just now, I just sent an email to Cantrell of Liam using the computers in the tech department" He chucked.

"How did you get him there? Usually assistants don't have a need to be there, unless Hailey instructed him to" She curiously asked.

He sighs as if he's tired of the restless question from her, "Well, if you must know–Yes, assistants don't usually be in the tech department, but since Chopard is a goody two shoes and does what anyone says for likeness, I managed to trick him to be there. All I had to do was say that he needs to "watch" over the computers while I'm gone, and just log in when the screen goes black" He pauses, as if saying the easiest thing in the world, "Simple" He said.

He continues explaining, "And about the footage, well, it's a simple edit really, just edit the time frame, before the board was aware of the problem, and erasing the part when I told Liam to look at the computer, I mean–If the guy is willing to do an odd task, he's asking for this, basically" He scoffed.

"Now what?" Anne asks.

"Now, we wait, he's most likely going to get fired, probably by the end of the day. The footage is going to make it look like Chopard is the one behind the flies all along, and now–When he does get fired, and probably even arrested for tampering, you can slowly take your job back"

I heard clapping, most likely coming from Anne, as she excitedly expresses, "This plan is genius, this is totally going to work. I know Hailey is stupid enough to fall for this, and soon, my second chance is close"

"She's smart" Logan corrects her, "But she's not invincible, she's too blinded by her pride to see what others are doing behind her back"

They both giggled and chucked, like they are the most genius people in the world.

Well, I thought, they might as well be, because if I didn't overheard this plan, then they would have totally fooled me.

As I listen to them, the only thing I can process is being shocked, I quietly breathe out as I nodded to myself, knowing what I need to do in order to fix this mess.

Never mind, looks like Logan and Anne got caught, big time. I wonder what's going to happen to them.
