ROWAN YULIANOVA, child of military parents, raised by their older brother, Jensin was tasked with a very important job. With Ravka's future on the line, Rowan is sent away past the permafrost, deep into enemy territory. Fjerda... any sane Grisha's worst fear was being deep behind enemy lines. For Rowan it wasn't too bad, their control of their Grisha "gift" was so poor that they needn't worry about being discovered.

All the knew was to find a Drüskelle who was supposedly pure of heart. Kind of hard to find a good person when they believe people like you shouldn't even exist. Nonetheless, Rowan followed orders in order to impress their long term idol (and according to Nina Zenik, crush) Zoya Nazyalensky by succeeding before their peers do.

Rowan would do right by their family name and bring a young, naive, stupid Drüskelle boy back to Ravka for their commander. No matter what, they would complete the task at hand and return home unscathed.
