~| Unwanted Glasses & Unfelt feelings |~

I groaned loudly and rubbed my face as the sudden news was brought upon me.

"You need glasses Kent."

Those four flipping words, I hate them so much. I knew it was a possibility, but I thought they said it was lower.

-

"I'm sorry hunny." My mom said, rubbing my back lightly. "I know how much you didn't want these. At least you don't have to wear them all the time." She smiled, trying to brighten the mood.

"I know you're sorry, it's not your fault. I just don't think I'll look good in them." I shrugged.

"Anyone special you're trying to impress?" She nudged my side and winked.

"N-No! Mom."

"Really cause you and Drew seem to be-"

"MOM NOTHING'S HAPPENING, WE'RE JUST FRIENDS!" By now my entire face was red, making me hide it  in my arms.

Honestly, I don't know what's going on with Drew and I.

~Flashback~

Six of us were sitting in the living room of our friend Cal. Us guys kinda barged in on their 'girls night.'

"I can't believe you guys actually came." Cal huffed.

"I thought Keon was kidding!" Alison exclaimed, rubbing her eyes.

Drew and I sat ourselves down on the love seat and listened to the girls whine.

He scooted closer to me and started whispering, "I regret coming here." I chuckled and glanced towards the arguing females.

"Same." I replied, leaning my head on his shoulder.

Suddenly a loud screech was heard from Alison, "I fucking ship it!" She squealed, clapping her hands excitedly. Cal rolled her eyes sarcastically and pushed Alison off the larger couch, she landed on the floor abruptly.
"Fuck you." She muttered, glaring towards the younger.

Drew chuckled and I snuggled into his chest deeper, feeling my eyes fall heavy. It was almost 1 am so you can't blame me.

"I love you." Someone mumbled under their breath. I kept a straight face, keeping it so it looked like I was sleeping. My thoughts started running wildly.

Drew just said he loved me.

-

Can you see why I'm confused now? I would never last in a relationship with him, he's everything I'm not. Plus to add on, he's my best friend, how awkward would that be if it didn't work out. I bet he would-

Wait....!

Why am I thinking about this stuff? I don't like Drew, do I?
Nope, nope, nope I do not like him that way. I refuse to think about it.

But then again.....

Do I like him?

-

"Kent hunny, we're home now." My mom's sweet, innocent voice spoke, breaking me out of my obnoxious thoughts.

I instantly jumped out of the car and jogged over to the door, turning the knob harshly.
"Welcome home!" Dad yelled from the kitchen.

"Hi." I grumbled, walking up the long stairs and towards my room.

As I'm sprawled on my bed I hear a ding coming from my phone. Followed by another, and another, and another.
"What the fuck?" I mumbled.

I shut off my phone lie down.
Eh a little sleep won't hurt. I thought and closed my eyes slowly.

-{}- Next day -{}-

"Your glasses arrived!" Mother called from the bottom of the stairs. I groaned loudly and slugged down the stairs to grab them.

"Well," She said handing me the case, "Try them on!"

I opened the case to reveal a pair of black and slightly blue framed glasses, foreign to me.
"Here you put them on like-"

"I can put glasses on mom." I chuckled and placed them on my face, scrunching my nose at the unfamiliar tough.

"Oh my goodness, you look adorable!" She exclaimed, bringing her hands up to my cheeks and squeezing them tightly.

"Ah painful." I swipe her hands away and run up to the bathroom.

Once I glance in the mirror my eyes widen, "Holy shit I look different." I said, removing my glasses, then replacing them, and continuing that for at least 5 minutes.

Reluctantly I took a 'selfie' and posted it to Snap chat which I Never use. Almost instantly I got a text from the group chat I was placed in.

~The Drew Mendoza~
I'm coming over to see them!

Sent 1:04 pm.

I smiled brightly and placed the glasses back in the case, no way is he going to see me in them, especially if I have feeli-
Nope nope nope, I don't have any. None at all.

-

"Oh hello Drew, come in, come in." My mom spoke, rushing him inside.

"Hello Mrs Treed." He smiled politely and moved his shoes to the mat.

"Kent is in the other room." She replied, pointing towards the room I was in, actually I was leaning against the door frame, she just didn't see me.

"I'm right here mom." I laughed, as I startled her slightly. "Come on upstairs." I started walking towards the stairs with Drew following close behind.

-

"Put them on!!!" He whined, hitting my arm.

"Oh my god is this what I sound like when I whine."

"Basically." He responded, smirking lightly. I pouted and glared at him.

"I'm not putting them on." I said sternly.

"Yes you are!" Drew argued, moving closer to me. I gulped quietly and somewhat froze as we were almost inches apart.

Suddenly he tackled me onto the bed and started tickling my sides, making screams and laughter escape my mouth. I hated being tickled and he knew that.

"D-Drew st-top." I scrambled out between laughs.

"Then put the glasses on." He stopped tickling me, leaving our faces only an inch apart. I so badly wanted to kiss him right then, but I didn't. I slipped out of his grasp and ran to get my glasses.

-

"There you happy now." I scoffed, repositioning the uncomfortable glasses on my face. He sat with wide eyes and a blank expression.

"I think I look horrible." I turned my body to face the mirror on the wall and stared at my reflection.

Drew continued to stare at me, until he finally got up and walked beside me.
"I honestly." He started, I braced myself for the 'ugly' and 'weird' comments, "You look so fucking good." He finished, exhaling audibly. My face instantly burns up, that wasn't expected.

"Like, you can really pull off glasses." Drew wrapped his arm around my shoulder, deepening the blush on my face. I buried my red face into my hands.

He soon lifted my chin up with his finger and looked me straight in the eyes. My glasses were almost slipping off my face, making Drew chuckle. He used his free hand to push them back up, to their original place. Of fucking course I blushed more, curse me.

"Stop blushing." He spoke, keeping his grasp on my chin.

"S-Sorry." Mentally I cursed at myself for stuttering.

"It's okay, you look fucking adorable either way." He gently placed a kiss on my nose and pulled away, smirking brightly.

"What are we?" I asked bluntly.

"Whatever you want us to be pumpkin." He replied, lazily standing in front of me.

"T-Then I want to more t-than friends." I stuttered, looking down at my feet.

"Good," His breath tickled my face as he lifted it up once more, "Because I don't think I could resit kissing you any longer." He cupped my face and pressed our lips together, they moved in perfect sync, our noses brushing from time to time.

Once we pulled away he hugged me tightly, "God you and your glasses are going to kill me." He mumbled, making me chuckle softly.

"Sorry."

Done, longer one, be happy!!!
