Chapter 28

Second half of Jiper's wedding. Both of these chapters were shorter because I originally had one long chapter, but that was about 6500 words long, so I split it up. Enjoy!

Right's to Uncle Rick

Annabeth was sitting with Percy. Piper and Jason's wedding ceremony had gone off with a hit. They were standing inside a massive pavilion that was used for big events like graduations, weddings, other parties, etc. It was decorated with hanging flowers and giant chandeliers. The general color theme was lavender, gold, and tan, traditional Roman colors but lighter because it was summer.

The seven, Reyna, Nico, Calypso, and Thalia had a table reserved for them that they all sat at, that was close to Jason and Piper's table. Piper and Jason themselves were currently making their rounds together, greeting people and saying hello. Considering they were part of the seven, the 12 Olympians had come to the wedding. All except for Hades and Hera. Some were Roman, some were Greek.

Percy and Annabeth's wedding had been a big deal because they were the first two Greek demigods to get married in who knows how long. They were also children of Poseidon and Athena, which was another big deal. Piper and Jason's wedding was major because it was the first Greek and Roman demigod couple to get married in what might have been ever.

Jason and Piper came walking over to them, Piper skipping happily.

"Guess what?" Piper grinned.

Annabeth smiled, "What?"

"I'm married!"

"I mean it's not like I just watched your wedding," Annabeth laughed.

Piper shrugged. Percy and Jason man-hugged. "How's it feel, Jason?" Percy asked.

"Pretty good," Jason grinned.

Piper grabbed Jason's hands and faced him. She moved her arms back and forth, doing one of her little happy dances. "My last name isn't McLean anymore," she sang. The rest of them laughed at her elated actions.

"Where are you guys going for your honeymoon?" Nico asked.

"Rome, then down to Sicily," Jason explained.

Piper started jumping up and down. "Then we get to come home and have babies!"

Jason's face deepened red 10 shades darker. "Slow down, Pipes."

"I think I should go off birth control, whatcha think about that, Sparky?" she smirked.

Jason's face got even darker, "I think you definitely should not-"

"Anyways," Leo interrupted, "I'm going to the bar to get something, anyone want anything?"

"Leo," Calypso chided, "You aren't 21 yet."

"I will be in like, a month. And no one pays attention to that anyways," he reminded. "Anyone?"

Hazel shyly gave an answer, "Can I try a strawberry daiquiri? Not like a big one, just a small one. I like strawberries."

"Damn, Hazel," Reyna smirked. "What happened to you?"

"Yeah, Hazelnut," Percy smiled. "Little out of the comfort zone."

"I'll get you one," Leo laughed. "Anyone else? Frank? Caly? Annie?"

"Don't call me Annie," Annabeth ordered sarcastically. "And I'm kind of pregnant, I can't drink."

"Also get me a strawberry daiquiri," Calypso said.

"I don't need anything right now," Frank shrugged.

"Suit yourselves." Leo walked away in the direction of the bar.

Jason laughed, "ten denarii he's gonna be the most drunk by the end of tonight."

"No bet," Thalia said. "That's just a fact."

"True," Jason agreed. "Okay, we should go say hello to other people. Talk to you guys later."

Piper took his hand and said goodbye to them as well. Annabeth sighed, "They seem so happy."

"They do," Percy agreed. "I would say getting married was the best thing that happened to me, and I know Jason would already agree." He leaned over and kissed Annabeth.

Thalia and Reyna stared at them blankly. Thalia coughed, "Anyways..."

The rest laughed at her lightly. At that moment, Leo came back with their drinks. He gave Hazel a little strawberry daiquiri in a smaller cocktail glass. "Thank you, Leo," Hazel said.

"Well," Reyna motioned, "try it."

Hazel picked up her glass and took a small sip. She pulled it back and stared at it. They all waited a second for her response. Hazel swallowed, then smiled. "It's really good." She picked it up and took another sip happily.

"Don't drink too much, Hazel," Nico reminded. "If you get another, get it virgin."

"What he said," Percy backed.

Hazel nodded, but continued to sip lightly at her drink. Calypso did the same. They spent about another half hour laughing and talking before Aphrodite went to the front of the room.

"Okay," she smiled. "Time to throw the bouquet! All non-married women come up here."

Mostly everyone at their table stayed sitting. "Absolutely not," Thalia said.

"Same," Reyna shrugged.

Hazel stood up and pulled her hand. "Come on! It'll be fun!"

"I find no interest in men," she stated flatly.

Hazel continued to pull her hand. "You can like women, that's okay too. We don't judge."

Reyna blushed, "When did I ever say I liked women?"

"You didn't," Hazel stated. "Just saying if you did it's fine."

"Well I don't like anybody," Reyna answered.

Hazel rolled her eyes. "Whatever, at least Calypso will come with me." Calypso smiled and walked with Hazel over to the rest of the women standing in a group. Piper stood in front of them. She smiled, turned around, and tossed it backwards. Jason stood off to the sides watching. Annabeth saw him concentrate a bit, obviously manipulating the winds, so it fell right in Calypso's hands. Calypso blushed fiercely.

Piper whistled, "Hurry up, Leo."

Leo blushed as well. Calypso and Hazel walked back to the group while they continued to mess with Leo. Jason grabbed a chair and set it in the front of the room. "Come on, Piper," he smirked.

It was Piper's turn to blush. "Jason, my father is in the room! So is yours!"

"Sucks for them," he smiled.

"Yeah, Piper," Leo grinned, "Sit down and let him pull your garter off."

Annabeth blushed as well. "Ugh, I remember when you did that, Percy. You did it while my mother was right off to the side."

Percy smirked, "Yes I did."

"You reached way too far up-"

"I reached as high as I wanted to."

"See?" Thalia pointed out, "If Percy and Annabeth had to do it, you can do it."

Piper stuck her tongue out at Thalia. "It's not like you ever have to do this!"

"And thank Artemis I don't," she shrugged.

Piper reluctantly flopped down in the chair. Everyone turned to watch, Annabeth couldn't help but feel bad. Jason got down on his knees and put his head up her dress. Piper hid her face with her hands.

"Do it with your teeth!" Leo shouted.

"Leo!" Piper shrieked. "Jason I swear to all the gods in this room hurry up!"

Jason pulled her garter off her leg and twisted it around. He stared at it for a second before flinging it at Nico. Nico picked it up by the end and stared at it disgusted. "The Hades you want me to do with this?! I'm gay!"

Everyone else in the room laughed at him hard, Nico just tossed it on to Leo. Leo grabbed it and put it on like a headband.

"That's nasty," Frank stated.

Leo shrugged and took a sip of his cocktail. Hazel had finished her daiquiri. "Nico, can I get another one?" she asked.

"A virgin one, sure," Nico said, still looking disgusted.

"I'll get you one, Haze," Percy said, standing up.

"I'll go with you," Annabeth said. Percy gently pushed her back down.

"You stay here. You aren't supposed to be moving around that much," he reminded.

"That's in a week, I want to make the most of what I can while I'm still allowed," she argued. "Now I'm coming with you."

Percy chuckled but offered his hand to her. Annabeth took it and together they walked over to the bar. A woman whom Annabeth did not recognize was behind the counter. "What can I get for you guys?" she asked.

"Can we get 2 virgin strawberry daiquiris please?" Annabeth requested.

"Sure. Anything for you, sir?" she asked Percy.

"I'm okay, thank you though," he replied. After a few minutes the woman passed them their daiquiris. She wiped her hands on a towel and left the place. Some other younger man took over for her.

They walked back to the table and Percy handed Hazel her second daiquiri. "Thank you guys," Hazel said, already sipping the second one.

"Of course," Percy smiled, sitting back down. Annabeth took a sip of hers. It wasn't as sweet as they usually were, but was still really good. She sipped it slowly and listened to the conversation at the table.

About half an hour later, the sun had completely set behind the hills. Piper and Jason had just finished their first dance, which Annabeth thought was really sweet. They hadn't done the whole mother-son and father-daughter dances for obvious reasons. It was then time for a regular slow dance.

Percy took Annabeth's hand and led her over towards the dance floor, as did most of their friends. He took her hand and put the other around her waist. He frowned when he did so. "Why does your waist feel stiff?" he asked.

"It's just part of my dress," Annabeth lied. He frowned again but nodded. He would probably forget about it anyways.

Annabeth silently thanked the gods that it was a slow dance and not Zorba, because she felt sick. Not like morning sickness sick, but lightheaded. They waltzed around swiftly to the song. Annabeth eventually leaned onto his chest and they stayed like that while they moved.

Percy kissed the top of Annabeth's head. "You have that face again where you look sick, what's wrong?" he whispered.

"I feel really lightheaded..." Annabeth muttered.

"Do you feel like you're going to pass out?" he asked quietly.

"I don't know..." she murmured.

The song ended and they walked off the dance floor. Percy held onto Annabeth's arm to make sure she wouldn't fall over. She got a glass of water and drank the whole thing. After 10 minutes, she felt better.

"I think I was just dehydrated," Annabeth said to Percy.

"Okay, just keep drinking water and sit down for a little bit," Percy said.

They continued to talk and dance with their friends into the night. Hazel was currently sipping on her 4th daiquiri, and Nico had to tell her not to have more. "Hazel, you're drinking too many too fast," Nico told her.

"But they don't have alcohol-"

"They do have a lot of sugar though," he reminded.

Hazel shrugged and continued to drink it. Annabeth had gotten another small daiquiri, as did all the other women at the table. It sort of became the drink of the table.

Annabeth got halfway through the second one before getting that lightheaded feeling again. Her vision swayed slightly and she grabbed Percy's hand to steady herself.

"What's wrong?" he asked her.

Leo snickered, "Those are the only words that come out of your mouth, Water Boy."

Percy ignored him. "I'm serious what's wrong?"

"I got that feeling again..."

Percy pushed the daiquiri away. "Well don't drink that then, it's not going to help. Let's go for a walk."

Percy led her out of the pavilion into the gardens of Bacchus. They walked around for 5 minutes before Annabeth couldn't stand. She sat down on a bench, swaying slightly. A feeling came over her and seconds later, she was puking in the bushes. Percy held her hair out of her face and rubbed her back.

"Percy?" Annabeth coughed.

"Yeah?"

"Unzip my dress please."

Percy froze, "Like now?"

"Not all the way just most of the way."

He did so and gasped when it got down to her corset. "Annabeth, what the hell is this?"

"It's a corset, dumbass," she answered before puking again.

"Why are you wearing it?"

"Because I didn't want to look pregnant at their wedding!"

"Where did you even get it?"

Annabeth coughed, "Long story short, it was for that one ball and Aphrodite made me. Doesn't matter, cut it off me."

Percy uncapped riptide and sliced through the ties, careful not to cut her. Annabeth felt like she could breathe again. "Is that what was making you sick?"

Annabeth shook her head. "No, I just wanted it off. It's harder to breathe in it." She finished throwing up her guts and stood back up. She would've fallen had Percy not been there. Her vision became spotty. "Can we go back to the reception?" Annabeth asked.

Percy looked hesitant. "You look really sick-"

"I'm Piper's maiden of honor, I can't just leave!"

Percy sighed, "Okay."

After walking back, Annabeth sat back down in her seat. Just staring at the strawberry daiquiri in front of her made her feel sick.

"Do you think you got food poisoning?" Percy asked.

Annabeth shook her head. "If I did, other people would be sick too."

"True. Do you think it was that daiquiri?"

Annabeth shook her head. "It was virgin..." her voice faltered.

"Then I don't know what it'd be, Wise Girl," he admitted. He rubbed circles on her hand.

Annabeth's stomach dropped. "Hazel?"

Hazel looked over from her daiquiri. "What?"

Annabeth passed her daiquiri to her. "Does this taste different to you?"

Hazel frowned and took a sip. She swallowed, tasting it for a second. "Yeah, it does."

Thalia took the drink from Hazel. "Lemme see." Thalia did the same and made a weird face after she swallowed it. "Yeah that tastes sour."

Of course then Reyna had to try it too. Reyna hesitated, "...It tastes like mine."

Annabeth internally panicked. "Percy...?"

Percy swallowed hard next to her. "Yes?"

"I think my drink was spiked."
