Chapter 17

No updates except for a reminder that the art on the cover is by windbyfire. Also there is the mention of autism, do not think that i am making fun of it in any way. The spectrum of it is very wide and broad, and both of my brothers have autism. It may or may not be incorporated, but heads up that I'm not abusing it.

Percy's POV:

Percy didn't know how she did it, but Hestia did something to his kids because they didn't wake up once during the night. He wasn't complaining, but it was a first for them. He woke up well rested to sleeping children and a sleeping wife, which was always a good thing.

More than Luke, Silena was worse about waking up in the night. She would cry and scream and wail, but wouldn't always wake up because she was having a nightmare. Percy felt horrible about that, and so did Annabeth. She was only 4 months old and was already having nightmares.

Annabeth wanted to get her tested for multiple mental illnesses the second she could. Right now, she was too young and too tiny to test on. He wouldn't be surprised if both of his children had ADHD or Dyslexia, but Annabeth was worried that she had anxiety, any form of autism, or something else he couldn't remember.

Annabeth stirred and cuddled into him deeper. She was currently asleep on top of his chest, so he was kind of stuck where he was. Percy chuckled at her and played with her hair. He did that for a little longer before deciding to check on the babies. Percy gently picked Annabeth up off of him and moved her to the side. He set her down before standing up and walking to the twins room.

Luke was still asleep, of course. Percy had come to the consensus that that's all his son did, sleep and eat. May contribute to the fact that he is a lot bigger than his sister. Silena was awake, sucking her thumb. She typically preferred a pacifier but if that wasn't around, she sucked her thumb. Percy picked her up and grabbed her pink pacifier, trying to help start her day out on a good note. Silena happily took that and didn't make a peep.

It was only 7:30, so breakfast would be in an hour. He wasn't typically an early riser, but having kids had kind of messed with his sleep schedule. Percy didn't have anything else to do, so he went downstairs with his daughter. He decided he might as well get some work done, so he quietly played a lecture that was put out the day before.

Percy set Silena down for a minute to get a cup of coffee but the second he did, she started to sniffle and whine. He didn't want her to wake up Annabeth, so he picked her up and carried her around while he did so. Percy held her out in front of himself. "You missy, have horrible separation anxiety. I wasn't even gone for 5 seconds."

Silena just sucked on her pacifier. The more he looked at her, the more she started to look like the original Silena Beauregard. The older Silena had dark brown hair with her soft blue eyes. Little Silena, had dark brown hair with grey-ish blue-ish eyes. He couldn't tell if that made him happy or sad.

The seven and friends sat together at breakfast. Currently, they were exposing Thalia to Zeus.

"And then she just flew down and dropped herself on top of me," Percy recalled from capture the flag.

Jason frowned, "But you can't control the winds, and you hate flying. You always said it was because you were afraid of-"

He was cut off short by Thalia's hand over his mouth. "Don't you dare say it-"

"What was he about to say, Thalia?" Zeus mused. Poseidon must've already known because he was smirking between the two.

"He wasn't about to say anything," Thalia covered.

"Your daughter's afraid of heights," Percy said quickly. Thalia zapped him from across the table. Hades and Poseidon laughed, while Zeus just put his head in his hands.

"Fuck you, Percy," Thalia jabbed.

"Yes, ma'am," He smirked.

Zeus spoke to her, "You are my child, and you are afraid of heights?"

Thalia defended herself, "I'm not afraid of heights-"

"Yes you are," Jason corrected.

"Okay well since you are the perfect Roman son, how 'bout that time you tried to eat a stapler?" Thalia said.

"You what?" Zeus asked.

"I was two!" Jason answered.

"And it was dumber than that brick that hit your face," Thalia shrugged. "How else did he get that scar on his lip?!"

"You would think that out of all of the Big Three children, Zeus's kids would be the smartest and best, nope," Nico laughed.

"I'm still smarter than him," Thalia prided.

"You got yourself turned into a tree for what, 6 years?" Jason reminded.

"Wasn't my fault! And you aren't one to talk, Nico, you spent like 70 years in a hotel with Bianca while Hazel here is on her second life. Didn't you also get turned into a corn stalk?"

"Yes he did," Hazel giggled.

"But I was a corn stalk for less than a day!" Nico defended.

Percy spread his arms, "I think this makes me the best of the Big Three children here."

Thalia laughed, "I beg to differ, you were turned into a guinea pig."

Annabeth blinked at him, "You jumped off the St. Louis arch-"

"You fell into hell," Nico muttered.

"You murdered your step father-"

"You bathed in the river Styx-"

"You fell asleep in horse stables-"

"Half the gods hate you-"

"You woke Gaea with a nose bleed-"

"Almost started a war between Zeus and Poseidon at the age of 12-"

"You got kidnapped for 6 months-"

Percy cut them all off, "Okay we get it, thanks guys."

Everyone laughed at him for that. Piper was about to say something but was cut off by Travis standing on the Hermes table. He rubbed his hands together and Connor stood with him.

"You know," Travis started, "We've made it like a week into this, and we haven't had the classic Poseidon vs Zeus showdown yet."

"So we propose," Connor interjected, "A Percy v Jason fight in the honor of representing their heritage."

Percy and Jason gave short laughs and went to stand up, but were yanked back by Piper.

"How about no," Piper said.

"Why not?" Connor stared.

"You act like this hasn't happened before and it was in Kansas, so no."

"Oh come on, Pipes," Jason pleaded. "We were possessed."

"Exactly, it's fine," Percy smiled. "Besides, my boy superman here could use some humbling."

"This is a bad idea," Annabeth noted. "You two are grown men who still want to know who is stronger."

"Annabeth, honey," Leo smirked, "A lot of grown men fight over who is stronger, look around."

"Don't call me honey," she glared.

"Yes ma'am," Leo peeped.

Travis spoke again, "We propose this idea. At the beach with no assistance from godly parents. It ends when someone surrenders or passes out cold. All powers allowed but swords must be used to start with."

"Sounds good to me," Jason shrugged.

Annabeth and Piper shared a look but stood up as well. Everyone flocked to the beach to watch it go down. They stripped themselves of their shirts and Percy handed Silena to his father. He took her gladly and surprisingly, she stayed quiet. They drew their swords and stood across from each other.

Jason made the first lung which Percy deflected quickly. They two were sparing back and forth immediately. Nothing exciting happened for a while, except for the fact the two most powerful demigods were fighting, but no big deal.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Piper's POV:
Piper was not a fan of what was happening. She watched next to Annabeth, their fiance and husband going back and forth. After about 15 minutes of solely sparing, Percy dropped his sword and lunged himself at Jason. It then proceeded to shift into a wrestling match. They were rolling around in the sand trying to pin each other down. Percy got his hand around Jason's neck and had him against the ground. Jason kneed Percy in the gut and moved out from underneath him.
Percy jumped into the ocean and Jason flew not far above. Percy willed the water up to Jason's level like a geyser. Somehow their swords were back because they were sparing again. Next to her, Annabeth clutched Luke uncomfortably. The baby stared up at her with confusion.
Piper turned back to the sparing. They were going a little harder than usual. The sky grew dark and the water became harsher, the tide moving further up. Piper gasped as Jason grabbed Percy by the neck and shot 100 feet in the air. Annabeth closed her eyes and buried her face in Luke's blanket.
Percy punched Jason in the gut. He fell out of the sky and Jason doubled over in pain, barely staying aloft. Percy willed the water up to him so he didn't fall as far, but Piper assumed it still hurt. Jason regained a bit of control and flew down closer to the water. Percy was nowhere to be seen, but that changed quickly. He shot out of the water like a dolphin and tackled Jason. The two fell underwater, where Percy had the benefit.
They stayed under for what felt like too long to Piper. She turned to Zeus and Poseidon, who were to the right of Annabeth. "Okay, can we stop them now?"
"All in good time my dear," Zeus said, "Let them figure it out."
"I don't like this..." Annabeth mumbled.
Jason shot out of the water, gasping for air. He flew up speedily before Percy could pull him under again. Percy wasn't far behind him. They weren't holding back at this point. The wind was harsh and it started to rain a bit. The sea became so bad that people backed away by 20 or more feet. The only person who didn't move was Annabeth.
Piper ran up next to her. "What are you doing?!" she shouted.
"He won't hurt me," Annabeth said.
"It's not safe this close, Annabeth, use your head."
Annabeth seemed reluctant, but backed away with Piper. Percy now stood in what was the middle of a classified hurricane. Jason had lightning floating around himself. They went back and forth electrocuting the other, or pulling him under the waves. Neither showed signs of giving in.
Jason blasted Percy with lighting, causing him to fall 50 feet from the air. He pushed his hands out at the last minute, and a 100 foot wave came over Jason. Piper and Annabeth both really did not like where this was going. From where she stood, they looked like they were possessed again. But this time there was no eidolon. It was solely to over power, and for more of their father's approval.
Piper turned back to Annabeth, her hair blowing in her face. "They are gonna kill each other if we don't do something."
"I have a plan." Annabeth passed Luke to Hazel, who seemed to be in a daze over the two boys. "Follow me."
They ran through camp, away from the sound. "Where are we going?" Piper yelled.
"Stables."
Once they were there, Annabeth went to Blackjack. He was now Percy's classified pegasus, but Blackjack liked Annabeth. She jumped on his back and held onto his mane. "They wouldn't hurt us, so if they see us hurt from what they are doing, they will stop. Now get Porkpie."
"Why do we need them?"
"We are going to fly up above them, and jump off."
"Are you crazy?!"
"Yes, now get on the damn pegasus."
Piper did so and the two of them shot into the sky. It didn't take long to get back to the sound, but what Piper saw was only worse than before. Percy and Jason were at no mercy. Annabeth casually flew over the sound, about 150 feet in the air. The boys didn't seem to notice. Piper was right next to her and they hovered over the boys.
"On the count of three, we jump," Annabeth demanded. "One."
"Two."
"Three!"
Piper more fell off than jumped, but executed the plan. The two of them fell right in between the boys. Both of them immediately stopped what they were doing. Jason controlled the winds so Piper would land only with a soft splash, and Percy dove down and grabbed Annabeth before she hit the water, using himself as a shield.
Piper landed in the water, which was absolutely freezing. The current was still strong, but not nearly what it was before. She came up from the water, where Jason pulled/flew her out. He held onto tightly where she was now shivering and sputtering.
"You okay?" He asked her.
"Never been better," Piper answered flatly.
Below them, Percy held onto Annabeth. She seemed fine, and didn't look as cold as Piper was. She assumed Percy had done that thing where he controlled the temperature of the water. Jason lowered them to right above the water so they could talk to Percy and Annabeth.
"What were you two thinking?" Percy said, slightly pissed.
"I've said it once and I say it again. I jumped in to save you," Annabeth stated.
"If you two saw yourselves, you would understand what we mean," Piper shivered.
"You two were literally about to kill each other," Annabeth said.
Percy rolled his eyes, "We weren't gonna kill each other, we were just having fun, right Jase?"
"Exactly," Jason nodded.
"You two act like you aren't exhausted," Piper snorted.
"You guys look like it too and you know you are," Annabeth agreed.
"Okay, maybe just a little," Jason muttered.
"Only a little," Percy said.
They were taken to shore where Percy dried them all off. Annabeth took Luke back and kissed his forehead. Jason sighed, "Well, good match, Perce."
"Back at you, Grace," he said. Zeus and Poseidon seemed amused by them. They walked over to their sons.
"You have done well," Zeus started.
"Almost killed each other but fine I guess," Thalia jabbed.
Silena gave a short whimper and reached her small hand out to Percy. She tried to move towards him, but flopped down in her grandfather's arms. Percy chuckled and picked her up from his father. Silena looked happy and gave a small smile, as good as a baby could do. Percy just bounced her a little bit.
"Okay I'm taking a nap," Jason admitted.
"Same," Percy agreed.
Poseidon gave a short chuckle at them, "Says the ones that 'aren't tired.'"
"Called it," Annabeth threw out there.
Percy turned to Annabeth, his classic grin plastered on his face. "I mean, you could take a 'nap' with me," he winked.
Annabeth shoved him. "Nope. You are too tired for that anyways," she whispered.
"Doesn't mean you still can't be on top-"
"Perseus!" she shrieked. Annabeth covered her face in embarrassment. The rest of them laughed at her and Annabeth looked like she wanted to shoot herself. If it were Piper, and it was said in front of her father-in-law, then she would feel the same. She knew the gods couldn't care less, all of history was formed around them having no self control in that department.
"Looks familiar," Frank said, walking over to them with the rest of their friends. "Roughly 5 years ago on said ship in said stables-"
"The fact you all still think we did that will never cease to amaze me," Percy said.
"Can we not talk about this?!" Annabeth scowled. Her face was still beat red.
"No can do," Leo laughed, "We will hold it against you till the day you die."
"For that, Jackson, you don't get any for the rest of the week!" Annabeth scolded.
Percy frowned, "But that's so unfair-"
"Life's not fair and too bad. Now this conversation is over before I skin one of you like an animal."
Leo shrieked and didn't say a word. They laughed again and carried on with their separate conversations, after Jason and Percy left for sleep.
Shorter, I know. But I tried to get it up because I have a packed schedule for the next 3 days.
