Annabeth's POV:
Annabeth was sleeping peacefully next to her husband before she was awoken by a trumpet playing from outside. She didn't know how he did it, but Apollo managed to make that thing go full blast so it was heard all across the valley.
Somehow he managed to get a megaphone too, which Annabeth thought needed to be taken away. He went flashing between the cabins and New Greece, screaming.
"RISE AND SHINE! I DIDN'T DRIVE NO CHARIOT FOR ALL OF YOU TO SLEEP IN!"
"Asshole," she muttered. Percy groaned next to her and flipped his pillow over on top of his head.
The twins started crying from the noise. Annabeth stormed downstairs and flung open to the door.
"You know some of us have infants who are sensitive to noise! And it's 6:30am!" she screamed at him.
"Calm down, Annie. And put your tits away," he laughed. Annabeth rolled her eyes and stormed inside. She did happen to be wearing a thin white shirt that was semi see through, but she didn't care.
She walked into the nursery the same time Percy did. They tag teamed and each picked up a baby to calm. Annabeth rubbed one eye while bouncing Silena a bit. Not long after, they stopped crying.
"I'm going to get ready considering we aren't gonna get more sleep," She said.
"Come back when you're done so you can watch the babies," Percy said.
"'Kay."

Annabeth didn't think she could take another minute. Athena and her had been in the arena for 3 hours now, and she was beat. Annabeth sat down on the bleachers and slumped forward. Her mother sat down next to her and rubbed her back.
"You're not doing that bad, Annabeth," she said. "But if you want to get back to where you were before, we have to keep going, okay?"
Annabeth nodded and stood back up, readying herself for another round. Athena had her spear in her right hand, waiting for her.
Finally, Annabeth charged. Together, they slashed and jabbed and parried against one another. Annabeth took her dagger and grabbed the sharp end of it in addition to the grip, holding it sideways against the spear. She ducked and released her hold on the point. They continued to fight until the point of Athena's spear came close to her throat, but not quite. Annabeth used the metal of the body of the spear and slid her blade down it, cutting her mother's hand at the base. This caught her off guard for a half a second. Annabeth made a maneuver she didn't even know she knew, and pointed her dagger at Athena's throat.
They both stood frozen in shock for a few seconds, panting.
"How did you do that?" her mother asked.
"I don't know," she answered quickly. Annabeth took the blade away from her throat and stepped back a bit.
Athena smiled at her. "You know," she started, "it never has been easy to beat the war goddess, and you did."
"I don't know how I did," she admitted.
"But you do know, because you just did. You aren't as far away as you think you are from being the fighter I know you to be."
Annabeth swallowed hard. She didn't think she was, but maybe for once her mind wasn't correct.
"Good job, Annabeth," Athena finished.
"Thank you."
They walked out of the arena together in silence before her mother spoke.
"So are you going to play capture the flag tomorrow?"
Annabeth gave a small laugh. "I haven't played in so long, it's been over a year. But I guess I'll try."
"So far the plan is to have Ares and Athena as captains, so that should be interesting with all of us."
Annabeth nodded in agreement. She felt too tired to give a full answer. Her legs burned, she couldn't feel her arms, and her hands were blistered and worn. Even her breasts hurt, but that was because she needed to feed her children.
Athena noticed how tired she looked, and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Go rest or find your husband. You've done well today."
"Okay, I'm going to go find Percy," Annabeth complied. Athena had a look on her face, the same Annabeth wore when she was thinking.
"Now that I think of it, I need to find Poseidon," she said. Annabeth didn't know what that was about, but didn't question it. Together, they walked down to the beach.
It didn't take long to find them. They were sparing on the beach, the same as the two women were not long ago. When Percy saw them, he called a draw and he and his father waited for them. Silena and Luke were barely old enough to be able to sit up on their own, but they were. They had little sand walls built around them to keep them from going anywhere, and were sitting on a blanket. Silena still had more trouble sitting up because she was smaller and was a little slower in the development process, so she flopped over.
Percy walked over to her and gave her a small kiss, Annabeth scrunched her nose. "Percy, not in front of our parents," she whispered.
"Bold of you to assume that I care," he smirked. Percy grabbed the sides of her face with his hand and kissed her hard. To Annabeth, he might as well have flipped them off. She felt obligated to kiss back so she did. After a few more seconds, she pulled back.
"I win," he smiled. Annabeth shoved him. Athena and Poseidon turned away as if nothing happened. She dragged him by the arm further down the beach, where they began an intense conversation over something.
"How was training with your mom?" Percy asked, sitting Silena upright again.
"I beat her in the last round," she stated.
Percy coughed, "You what?!"
"I don't know how I did but I did. She looked as surprised as I was too. She said that I wasn't as far away from getting back to normal as I thought I was."
He was about to answer but was beat by Silena, who was starting to cry. She had fallen on her side and couldn't get back up. Percy walked over to her and picked her up from the blanket, and she stopped crying.
"See," he cooed, "all better."
"How has your day been going so far?" Annabeth asked.
"Good. Nothing too special, just training and swimming for the most part."
"That's nice."
Annabeth was overcome with tiredness and flopped down into the sand and laid back, closing her eyes. She just listened to the sound of the waves and enjoyed the warm breeze.
Of course her time had to be interrupted by yelling. It wasn't a bad yell though.
Annabeth looked in the direction of the sound to find that Artemis and her hunters were here. She stood up and took off to meet them. Thalia was already looking for her, but found her quickly.
"THALIA!"
"ANNABETH!"
They both leaped and tackled each other to the ground in a hug.
"Ugh, I missed you," Thalia said.
"Same," Annabeth mumbled.
They stayed there for a minute before Artemis coughed. They stood up together and dusted themselves off. "Sorry, my Lady," Thalia apologized.
Artemis gave a small smile. "Don't worry, it is understandable."
Jason came up behind Thalia and grabbed her in a hug, flying off the ground a few feet to scare her, which it did. Thalia yelped in surprise before whacking him upside the head.
"Jason! Don't do that to me!" she snapped, but hugged him anyways. Annabeth always thought it was funny to think that Jason was younger but was a foot taller than his sister.
Percy came not long after Jason did with the twins in his arms. Thalia ran over to him and plucked Luke up.
"You are getting so big already!" she gushed to him. Luke made a set of baby noises in return. "I think that means 'I love you, Auntie Thalia'."
They chuckled at her and the four of them walked into further camp.
"Dad's gonna wanna see you," Jason said.
Thalia groaned, "See I don't hate him because I can't really, but a month is too long."
"I'm fine with it to be honest," Annabeth said.
"Same," Percy agreed.
Annabeth glanced over to the beach, where Zeus now stood with Athena and Poseidon. She wondered what had happened, but wouldn't dare to ask them.
"What are they talking about?" Annabeth said to the group, glancing back in the direction of the gods.
"Hades, like I'd know," Thalia shrugged.
"I hope something bad didn't happen," Jason worried.
"I was thinking the same," Percy said.
The horn blew for lunch, and Annabeth decided to think about it later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Around 3:00pm, all the Olympians and most of the older campers sat around talking about various things. Current life, recalls of quests, and a lot of "I remember when Hercules/Perseus/Theseus/Odysseus did that" from the gods. Just when Annabeth thought she was having a good day, it was ruined by a roar from the water.
They all stood up immediately, but Athena, Poseidon, and Zeus shared a look. Percy pulled out Riptide at the same time Annabeth drew her dagger. The rest of the seven, Reyna, Clarisse, Nico, and Thalia did the same. Just then, something shot out of the water.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Annabeth groaned.
From the water rose a woman, but it wasn't really a woman. She had 6 other serpent heads that went around her, while she herself looked more like a screaming, dying siren, but the ugly side of them. Her hands were webbed as were the sides of her mouth. She had 3 rows of teeth that lined her long and flexible necks. She had 12 tentacles for legs and 4 dog heads were baring their teeth around her waist.
"What is that?!" Piper screamed.
"Scylla," Annabeth answered, "She was known for guarding the strait of Messina with her counterpart Charybdis. I don't know why she'd be here without her friend but I think her and Charybdis now reside in the Sea of Monsters."
"That's nice," Reyna said, "but how do we kill it?"
"She's immortal. She can't be killed, just defeated. Our best bet is to fight her off until she goes away," Annabeth responded.
"Well shit," Leo stated. And together they all charged towards the water.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Percy's POV:
Percy was not a fan of this Scylla woman. For being as old as she was and some big Odysseus legend, she was only 12 feet tall. He wasn't complaining about that part because that was still better than most he had fought.
So far things weren't going too well. Frank and Thalia were firing arrows down its mouths, while Clarisse couldn't get a good shot with her spear or else she'd electrocute everyone in the water. Jason flew around her and called on lightning (how that didn't shock everyone, Percy didn't know). Leo chucked fireballs from the beach and screamed insults. Everyone else did whatever they saw fit to try to kill it.
But the gods didn't help. That part Percy found to be skeptical of. For an immortal monster, you would think they'd help, but they were nowhere to be seen.
Percy was more worried about Annabeth. He knew she wanted to fight and Athena wanted her to as well, but that gave him no reassurance. He kept looking over at her just to make sure she was okay, which she was.
Scylla let out another ear piercing scream, and her serpents looked like they were on crack. Just then, Reyna came back on a pegasus, with two more in tow.
Sup, boss.
"Not the time, Blackjack," he said, mounting his friend. He looked over to see Annabeth getting on Porkpie, and the three of them took off.
"How you holding, Jason?" Reyna shouted over the wind. Jason just gave a thumbs up in response.
Percy slashed one of her tentacle legs off, causing her to move back into the water by about 20 feet. She was now too far out for any of their other friends to help them. One of the serpents got a little too close to Annabeth, but she slashed it across the face, making it move away. Reyna had 3 of the serpents around her. Percy veered Blackjack in her direction, and stabbed one through its mouth. Reyna got the other one, but the third got a hold of her leg, and dragged her underwater.
"Reyna!" Annabeth screamed. Without thinking, Percy jumped off blackjack and into the water. Reyna was currently being shaken around like a dog toy. Her eyes were closed and her mouth was clamped tight, saving her air supply. She was too disoriented to be able to fight back.
Percy used the water to propel himself forward and stabbed the serpent through the eye. It screeched and gave just enough time for Reyna to pull free. Her calf had a huge arch shaped bite in it, and it was bleeding badly. He snatched Reyna and pulled her further away from Scylla, trying to dodge her tentacles in the process.
He shot out of the water with her, where Guido was waiting for them. Percy laid Reyna across the pegasus, and ordered it to take her back to shore. He himself, got back on blackjack and rejoined the fight.
Scylla wasn't weakening by much, which scared Percy. Annabeth and Jason both looked exhausted, and he was feeling it too. But Percy couldn't let this monster take his home. He glanced back to Annabeth, who looked like she was about to pass out. Percy wasn't going to try to convince her to go back though, she was too stubborn to listen to him.
They kept slashing and stabbing for what felt like forever, but nothing was working. And then he got an idea.
"Annabeth, Jason, I have an idea."
"Of gods whatever it is don't do it," Annabeth ordered.
Jason just listened in, waiting for him to share. In response, he dove into the water.
Percy knew this thing couldn't be killed, but that didn't mean it couldn't be controlled. He knew that Annabeth never liked it when he did it, but it was the only choice. He knelt at the bottom of the water, not far from Scylla, and closed his eyes.
He concentrated on his power. What this monster had done to his friend, what it could do to his family, what it could do to his home. All of this just caused him to be angry. The water around him churned and the tides became more dangerous.
Percy extended his hand to Scylla. Sea monsters are made from the power of the sea gods, and made of water.
He could feel the ichor inside of the monster move. He commanded it to stop moving, to stand still, hopefully killing her from the inside out. Scylla froze for a few seconds, before clawing at her throat. Golden fluid came dripping out her mouth, running down her body.
And it felt so good. Percy was controlling the immortal lifeline of this thing. He could command the blood to stop moving to her heart and to her mind. A voice in the back of his mind told him to stop, but if it was so bad, then why did it feel so good? Scylla started to spit and stutter, choking on her own blood.
From his left, a figure fell into the water, but he ignored it. The power he felt running through his veins was too good to stop. One of the serpent heads dropped into the water, almost hitting the other figure. After the water became clearer again, he saw the figure was Annabeth.
Percy felt like he was going to throw up. He was too concentrated on controlling the blood of a monster, than to notice his own wife unconscious in the water. In a way, he was no better than Scylla.
He swam over to Annabeth and pulled her out of the water. Scylla was retreating back into the depths of the ocean, and Jason was flying above them, but passed out of the beach the second he hit the land. He propelled himself to the beach and laid her down.
Percy put his hand on her chest and forced the water out of her lungs. But she didn't start coughing. He checked around for a pulse, but found none.
"Thalia! Get over here!" Percy shouted, while beginning to give her CPR. Thalia was at his side in seconds. After 30 compression's, he gave her mouth to mouth.
Thalia rubbed her hands together and yelled, "Clear!" She shocked her chest as a human defibrillator. Annabeth still wasn't breathing. Percy gave more chest compression's, but harder and faster than the first time. Nico was now sitting with her head in his lap, and he was feeling around her forehead.
"She's not dead yet, but you better hurry because she's knocking on Charon's boat," Nico said.
"Clear!" Thalia yelled again, while Percy and Nico both moved back away, trying not to be electrocuted.
Percy felt a small pulse come back for a minute, but then it went away. He started back up with compression's.
"Thalia you're gonna need to call on more power," Nico explained. "We are going to try and shock her soul out from the Underworld."
"Can you even do that?!" she screamed.
Nico shrugged, "Don't know but we are going to try."
Percy gave her mouth to mouth, just before Thalia yelled to clear again. She used so much power, she fell over in the sand. Not unconscious, but too tired to sit up. Percy felt her pulse come back this time.
"Someone go find Apollo," Nico ordered. Piper and Hazel sprinted off through the camp, but didn't have to go far. All of the Olympians came to the beach. Athena and Apollo sat down in the sand and leaned over Annabeth.
"It wasn't supposed to go this far..." Athena whispered to herself.
"What do you mean 'wasn't supposed to go this far'?" Percy demanded.
"Silence, Perseus," She snapped, "You will hear soon."
