Chapter One: So...
POV: Marinette
A/N Hallo! You may be wondering:
What is that image up above?
Well, peoples, that is some fan art I drew myself (sorry if theres some smudges on the drawing; and, no, the CatNoir half does NOT have a fang)! I will be putting my fan art at the top of as many chapters as I can, wither it's Miraculous, Rick Riordan, or Harry Potter.
Please read on!

"Mom! Adrian only invited me to travel with him to a photoshoot in New York. Nothing more!" I rolled my eyes for the fiftyith time, my mom sqeauling while helping me pack.
"I know, Marinette, but still ! He invited you personally !" My mom sqeauled again, and I facepalmed, even though I was sqeauling inside as well.
"Mom," I took a deep breath. "Can we just not talk about this, please? I need to finish packing. I'm meeting with Alya before I head to Adrian's,"
"Ok, ok! I won't stop you." My mom turned and opened the trap door, giggling. "A girls meeting. Ha! Adrinette, here we come!"
I ignored the last part even though I wanted it to be true as much as my mom did.
Me and Adrian had come up with the photoshoot excuse so we can leave Paris and try to find HawkMoth. Rumor has it that he'll be heading to some magic school called Hogwarts in Scotland, and then he's heading to Long Island Sound, NYC.
I sighed.
Adrian...
Ever since I found out Adrian was Cat Noir, I can't even look at him without remembering all the times he flirted with me (Ok, fine, with Ladybug), or all those times we made corny jokes and puns, and when-
I dropped the jacket I had been holding, my eyes widening as I remembered that day.
Dark Cupid.
The spell.
The kiss.
I shook the memory aside, picking up the jacket I had dropped.
I finished packing as quick as I could, grabbing my bag.
"Marinette!" Tikki tapped me on the shoulder.
"Hmm?" I looked up.
Tikki gestured to the clock on my wall, and-
"I'm ten minutes late! AGH!" screamed, rushing around the room in a panic before darting through the trap door.
Tikki disappeared into my bag as I raced into the bakery.
"Marinette! Leaving already?" My father, Tom, asked me.
"I gotta go dad! See you both in a few weeks!" I pecked my mom and dad on the cheeks before bolting out the door and running to the park as fast as my clumsy legs could carry me.
Oh my god! Alya's gonna be so mad unless I say bye to her (and, well, theres also the fact that me and Adrian might need her to be Reyna Rouge, but... I'll need to talk to Adrian first.)! What do I tell her? The usual 'Late Marinette' again? That I was thinking about Adrian again (hey, it's sorta true)? That I-
I wasn't paying any attention to where I was running, and I suddenly crashed into somebody, my vision tumbling.
When my vision cleared, I was on my butt, a hand offering to help me up.
"We need to stop bumping into each other like this," Luka said, laughing.
I felt my face turn red, and I let go of his hand.
"Yeah... sorry, Luka. I was lost in thought, and I wasn't watching where I was going. Sorry,"
"It's fine, Marinette, really!"
There was an akward silence, and I glanced at my watch.
AGH! I have to be at Adrian's in five minutes!
"I gotta run, Luka, I'm kind of in a hurry." I made to move past him, but Luka stopped me.
"Where are you in such a hurry to?" He smiled at me.
"Um, well, I'm supposed to be meeting with Alya right now, but I got side tracked, and I've gotta be at Adrian's in, like, five minutes!" I gasped, a little flustered.
Luka's face fell.
"Adrian's?" He asked, some-what sadly.
"Yeah," I raised an eyebrow. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, Marinette, just... I gotta go!" Luka ran off, and I blinked in confusion.
Well, that was... weird. I wonder what's up with him?
I shrugged it off, deciding that I'd investigate when me and Adrian got back from the 'photoshoot'.
I walked carefully the rest of the way, being more aware of where I was heading.
Finally I reached the part of the park Alya had wanted to meet at, her favorite spot in the entire park:
The Ladybug and Cat Noir statue.
Alya was standing next to it, tapping her foot and glancing at her watch.
When she spotted me, she sighed in relief.
"Girl, I thought you left already!" She gave me a hug. Then Alya noticed my bag.
"Why do you need such a big bag if your only going to be at the covention for two days, girl?" She asked me.
Oh. Right.
I told Alya that I would be at a fasion convention in Scotland for a few days, before me and Adrian had come up with the photoshoot idea.
"Um... well, Alya, I may have lied,"
Alya raised an eyebrow, but gestured for me to continue.
"Well, truth is..." I took a deep breath. "AdrianinvitedmetocometohisphotoshootinNewYork!"
It must've took Alya only a few seconds to figure out what I said, because her eyes widened and she started sqeauling.
"OMG, GIRL! Why didn't you tell me this?! I totally could've helped you pack!" Alya jumped up and down with joy.
"I know, I know, but I wanted to surprise you!" I gushed.
"Alright, fine. But still! This is huge. Like, real huge! Like, LADYBLOG huge!"
"Don't even try," I laughed, shoving Alya's phone back in her purse before she could tell the internet.
"Hey, speaking of the Ladyblog... haven't you been wondering where Ladybug and Cat Noir have gone? They just, like, disappeared after HawkMoth's procumaltion!"
Great. This question.
"Maybe they went after him. Ya know, to protect Paris and junk."
Alya nodded. "Maybe," She glanced at her watch again. "Girl, we gotta get you to Adrian's! Aren't you supposed to leave in, like, two minutes?"
I froze.
"Oh god!" I shouted, running from the park.
"Hey, girl, wait for me!" Alya laughed, chasing after me.

POV: Adrian
Marinette was late, and that worried me.
I know what your thinking; Adrian, Marinette is always late. Why are you worried?
Well, first off, we're supposed to leave in a few minutes, and she's no where in sight.
Second, she's Ladybug. M'Lady. My Bugaboo.
And she might be in danger.
Not only that, but I came home from school today to find out that my father was away on a business trip, and that he left without telling me. At the same time HawkMoth disappeared.
Suspicious, wouldn't you say?
I paced in my bedroom, waiting for the doorbell to ring and for Marinette's adorable voice to ask for permission to come in.
Still, the House was quiet.
I sighed, plopping down on my desk chair, slamming my head against the desk.
"If your that worried, can't you just call her?" Plagg said, flying out of the mini fridge where he was most likely eating camembert.
"Plagg, it's not that easy. I don't have her number,"
"Yeah, but you do have her best friends number!"
I sat up, innerly facepalming because of how stupid I was.
"Your a genius, Plagg!" I said grabbing my phone and dialing Alya.
"Ah! It's Adrian!" A voice said, a bluenette-haired girl hiding behind Alya.
"Calm down, girl, he's probably just wondering where you are!" Alya laughed. "She's on her way, Adrian, if that's what you were wondering. Just the same late little Marinette as usual!"
I laughed. "Thanks, Alya. I was just a little worried,"
"Don't be, we're literally right outside your house right now." Alya smirked, and I heard the doorbell ring.
Wow, I thought. Alya's good.
I hung up the phone, rushing downstairs just in time for Natalie to open the door.
"You," I crossed my arms when I saw Alya, "are one clever girl,"
"Why thank you, Cover Boy." Alya smirked again, causing Marinette to laugh.
I met Marinette's eyes, and she held the gaze.
Mari's bluebell eyes were like a worm hole. You can't help but be sucked into them, even if you don't mean to. Their sweet and kind, while at the same time they hold power that will make any man or acoma fall in both ways. I get so easily lost in them, and when I do, I can never let go.
Suddenly, their was a flash of light, shattering my thoughts.
"Are you two done? 'Cause I feel like I don't exist anymore." Alya had her phone out, and had taken a picture of us. "That's one for my shipping book,"
Me and Marinette stared at Alya, and the smug smile on her face told me that she wasn't kidding.
To prove that fact, Marinette facepalmed.
"Alya, why do you dedicate your entire life to finding out who Ladybug is and that silly book?"
"It's not a book, Mari, it's the hopes and dreams of many fangirls and fanboys out there on the other side of the FW." Alya said smoothly.
I blinked, confused.
"Okay..."
"Um, Adrian, don't we need to leave?" Marinette said, breaking the strange tension in the air.
"Oh! Shoot! Yeah, we need to go, unless we want to miss our flight!"
Marinette grabbed her bags, and my bodyguard took them to the car.
Marinette hugged Alya goodbye, and I'm pretty sure that Alya took a picture of us getting into the car before we drove off.
Marinette sat in silence for a few minutes, making sure that my bodyguard couldn't overhear us before speaking.
"So... New York," Mari said. "We need to find this guy, Percy Jackson, before HawkMoth does. Where do we even start?"
"We start where Master Fu told us to; Goode High School."
A/N I know, not that much of a chapter, but I thought you guys would prefer to skip the flight. At least until they get off, because I have something interesting planned.
Let's just say that the next chapter will make your heart flutter.
Anyway, did you enjoy the chapter? Was it full of fluff? Please tell me what you think.
Till next time, my little miraculous friends!
Love y'all,
-Tiggs <3
