I thought of Life and of what it gives;

I thought of its challenge and of its test.

Difficult to overcome yet we still receive;

Difficult even though you give your best.

Like every stanza of the song, every chapter of the story,

Every step is an unknown and unraveling mystery.

Of Life's Challenge, it is a very long and winding journey,

On it, through it, we will meet our long-awaited destiny.

I thought it is that easy as they say to control;

After all of life's past mistakes, I started to fall.

Of the consequences, I thought they are easy to endure.

I fought, I lost, I knew then, that they are difficult to conquer.

I was then standing at the crossroads;

I was torn with the decision of where to go.

Never knowing what lies ahead, I moved forward

Though the path was shrouded, an unbeatable foe.

Then it again came to finally conquer me,

But I faced it, dauntlessly and fearlessly.

I begin to realize, I hadn't been up for a fight.

Then all of a sudden I saw one faint light.

Armed with prayers and hopes that I will win,

Though it took a long time and a lot was lost.

I lift my head up high; I never gave up to reach my dream

And of that battle, I finally understood what Life means.

Amidst our chaos and confusions,

Of our doubts and of our life's questions,

I realized that Life is a dark and narrow room.

A gift wrapped with mystery; inside are lessons.

No matter what happens, Life must go on.

And there will always be challenges where we must fight.

Loss, pain, and failures, everything will soon be alright;

Though we failed at the start, still we move forward; on and on...
