Chapter Eighteen, Epilogue

For the past few months the three Winchesters along with Bobby and Castiel have been trying to find a way to put Lucifer back into his cage in Hell without too much luck. But that didn't stop them from having to suffer through a rising amount of trauma; Harley in particular.  It wasn't until Gabriel saved the three of them from Gods from all cultures and religions and from his big brother, Lucifer himself that they had a breakthrough. However, it came with a high toll; Gabriel was killed by his own brother rescuing Harley, Dean and Sam which took a heavy toll on Harley but he did leave behind a message for them which would exact another heavy toll on the Winchesters. The only way to put Lucifer back into the cage is for Sam to allow Lucifer to possess him and open a portal to Hell with the Four Horseman's rings; the only catch was there would be no coming back for Sam and there was no other way as he had looked and looked for another way which is why he left them this message.

It goes without saying that Bobby, Dean and Harley were distraught over this news but Sam made them swear that they wouldn't look for another way and would get out of hunting for good and live their lives as his dying wish; which the elder and youngest Winchester reluctantly agreed to with tears in their eyes. So it was with a heavy heart that when the day finally arrived to our Lucifer back where he belongs, Harley and Dean agreed to it with red rimmed eyes as they said their final goodbye to their brother who was desperate to make up for releasing Lucifer in the first place and all the pain and suffering he had caused his siblings during the debacle with Ruby. Once all was said and done, Harley and Dean washed their hands with how they were raised.

They washed their hands with Angels, Demons and monsters, as they honoured their brother's dying wish and moved to a small town in Texas getting an apartment together as they lived the life they were supposed to have had from the very beginning. A life that consisted of Dean becoming a Firefighter and Harley as a vet as they had always wanted until their so-called father had ruined their childhood with his revenge and bloodlust. For the first time since they were babies they had the life they were supposed to all because Gabriel and Sam sacrificed themselves for them and they would honour their wishes and stay away from the supernatural.
