"We're sorry, Miss but flights have been delayed due to the snow storms. We'll let you know when the weather clears", The lady at the counter informed the traveler. She sighed in defeat, heading back to the waiting area. This was the last thing Cara wanted. She was due to fly back to Germany for a family reunion. Everything had already been paid for, she got to the airport on time only for that delay.

Cara paused to take a breather. "No use getting angry now, can't do anything about it", she slumped down in the waiting queue. The time dragged on as the snow came down; The young woman read a few of her novels she packed, worked on her art project on her laptop and went to browse the terminal shops. No updates for her flight so far.

It was 9:00 pm when Cara glanced over at the clock, she sighed and decided to lean back in her seat to rest her eyes. Once comfortable, She dozed off.

The sound of someone sitting next to Cara caused her to stir. "Hey sorry if I spooked you", the man apologized. Cara rubbed the sleep from her eyes, "Mmm, You're fine. I've just been waiting for my damn flight".

"Huh.. I guess We're all stuck in the same boat", the freckled stranger chuckled, slouching in his seat. "I'm Thomas but people call me Tank".

"Why Tank?"Cara wondered.

"I used to serve in the Marines alongside with other buddies of mine", Dempsey informed. Cara's shifted a bit, " So...Where are you heading to,considering our circumstances?"

"Arizona, I'm visiting mom for her Birthday. How about you?"Dempsey wondered, bouncing his leg slightly.

"I'm heading to Germany to visit my family. Wait, what time is it?"Cara realized, noticing how quiet the airport was.

" 12 am, it was 11:53 pm when I arrived. I was told that these snowstorms won't clear up until the afternoon", Dempsey said, " I'll tell you what though, thank god I made it otherwise I'd have to wait it out in my car." The man chuckled.

Cara snickered, "I bet. I would not last a chance being in a cold car, trying to keep warm is a big no".

Dempsey grinned a bit, "Since I have no chance of going to sleep.", he withdrew a Blue 3DS from his coat pocket, "I figured Why not".

Cara saw the little device's screen boot up and saw the first icon that appeared, "Hey, Is that Animal Crossing?".

The shorter man looks up with a surprised grin, "Yeah, How did you know? Are you a fan?".

"Oh no no, I've only heard of the game but I've never played it.", Cara corrected , "But I've wanted to try it", she smiled.

"Do you want to?"Dempsey questioned.

The taller woman smiled, "Of course".

The next few hours were spent with Dempsey trying to teach Cara the ropes on how to play. Resulting in his character falling into pitfalls or getting stung by bees. Rather than getting mad, the shorter man laughed a bit assisting Cara as his hands rested on top of hers.

Cara was taken aback by the gesture, her face heating up from how close he was to. Her body went from sitting straight to curling up in the uncomfortable seat.

Dempsey quickly retracted his hands, realizing he was being undignified. He grew fond of Cara over the past two hours but didn't know how to go about it. Shifting his eyes away to avoid the woman's gaze. "Sorry".

"It's okay, I didn't think you were helping me that way", she said before thinking of a solution. Cara gestured to Dempsey to sit on the floor next to her, pulling her puff winter coat off to use as a makeshift blanket.

The brunette's face flushed a bit as he sat next to her. Their body heat warming each other up. His heart began racing as he felt an arm wrap around him.

Cara resumed playing whilst the shorter man watched on.

The next thing he knew, Dempsey dozed off. As he awoke saw that his 3DS was placed in his hand along with a scrap piece of paper left by Cara;

I had fun getting to know you. I plan on getting a 3DS plus a few games, call me when you get to Arizona and add me.

The traveler smiled as he walked toward the terminal that boarded to Arizona. At least he got to know her name.
