       Clashing swords forged of the finest steel; Maude Tully quickly found she enjoyed the sound before she could properly utter a word. Between the rivers and dirt, the warm skin of her palm would clutch the hilt of a sword too large to carry. When the sun rises in the East; copper coated her tongue, winds weave through ginger curls, and dust seeps deep within her lungs. When it sets in the West; her chapped lips are sewn closed with needle and thread, spittle caught in her throat, and walnut-colored irises focused downward.

With an attitude as bitter as the oranges she so desperately craved after a clean spar, she grew stubborn – thick-headed. As the first and only granddaughter to a Lord, the duties of a proper and noble lady sprouted like weeds, ropy roots twisting themselves around her bones, dragging her under so, dense and dry enough to crackle one's bones to powder. Perhaps that was why the urge to marry loomed above her skull – a halo of vantablack.

Maude did not want babes and riches – she wanted knighthood; a delusion that would become her reality if she were to slaughter Prince Aemond Targaryen.

Blood will decorate her blade, and she will not hesitate to desecrate what may block her march to glory.

hello hello! this plot has been stuck inside of my head for literal months now. it was just a matter of time before I had to at least write an outline down . . . and then i couldn't stop which led to this.
