Elena Mercer, the official guide, gathered all of the selected to explain the newest aspect of the selection. Such was her job, after all, and she would do her best to explain everything she needed to.

The dates.

This early in the competition, when bonds are just starting to form, selected are not restricted to choosing a single royal. However, it's for the same reason that the dates will be chaperoned.

Each round of dates has a theme. The first one, as it so happens, is outdoor activities. Selected will have free reign of the palace grounds to plan and execute their date. They will, however, be expected to plan and make preparations for this date; leaving the decision up to the chosen royal is not an option.

This will be the first time since the opening ball that the selected will have an opportunity to interact with the royals, so make it count.

First of all, just a quick reminder! The brunch chapter will be open until the next event so you're more than welcome to keep roleplaying there! Make those selected x selected/selected x staff connections, positive or otherwise hehe.

Okay, moving on!

This is your first round of dates! We're planning on having quite a few of them, so there'll be plenty of time to interact with everyone if that's what you wish.

Each selected is allowed a date with TWO royals. Not two royals on the same date, not two dates with the same royal. You can make up to two chains for each selected, as long as they involve different royals. You also, however, don't have to use both chains.

Also, fun fact! The selected are responsible for date ideas and prep, so be sure to think about that! The theme for this round of dates is outdoor activities, so please stay within those bounds.

In addition! Since it's so early on, each date will be chaperoned by a member of the staff. You are encouraged to choose one, it would be a lot easier for us if you did! However, if you truly don't have a preference, you can say so and we'll randomly assign one.

Date location/activity

And then whatever tags you need!
