There's blood on my hands.

There's blood on the walls.

There's blood everywhere. Splattering the room.

There's screaming.

Multiple voices of screaming.

I was screaming, but I couldn't hear it.

My only surviving siblings were screaming too.

My younger brother and sister.

The blood is not mine.

It's my Mothers, my Fathers, and my siblings.

There's a body hanging from the ceiling.

Why did the peacekeepers do this?

What did my family deserve to get brutally murdered by them?

My Father was hanging from the ceiling, the bruising on his neck being a clear form of a struggle.

The bodies of my Mother and my other two siblings - not the alive ones - were teared by bullets.

Blood covered them everywhere.

The scent of blood was so strong, I felt sick.

I'm sure my younger siblings feel sick too.

I have to get them out of here.

I somehow manage to pull my hands away from my Mother's corpse, pick them both up, and run out of the door and into the woods.

We barely make it a few meters into the trees when I collapse, sobs wrecking my body.

My siblings are still crying too.

We're all a bloody mess, but through our tears, we manage to hold onto each other tightly and cry.

"Why- Why did they do this!?" I hear my sister cry out between sobs.

"I-I-I don't know El. But you still have me." I manage to say. Through tears, my siblings look up at me, and say the same thing.

"You won't leave us right Grian?" They ask in unison. I nod, my vision still blurry, and hold onto them tighter.

"I promise. I won't let anyone else tear us apart ever again."

While we all grieved over the sudden loss, I vowed deep down that no one would ever harm my siblings.

I never want them to experience the same fate of our family.
