This was before. Before it began, and before it ended. How could such an atrocity befall humanity as we speak? Why would something as ridiculous as such trick the minds of almost anyone that countered us? Why... was it me out of all people?

"(Last name)."

"Hello? Earth to (Last name)- Our food will go cold if your stupid face doesn't get up."

"Oi, (Last name) (First name). I'll definitely tell everyone you're talking in your sleep again-"

"No- Oh God no!" A figure groggily stood up as soon as she possibly could. She shook her head once more, "Kei, I told you not to do that." She then sighed, and rubbed her eyes, "Especially since I don't do that anymore."

"Is that correct?" The blonde smirked, "so talking to Shira-san again doesn't count?" The girl's eyes widened, "did I do it again..?"

"Most definitely. It was more like you were pitying yourself."

"Why are you even listening to me?"

"Does it look like I can sleep while you're talking to yourself?" You then slanted your eyebrows, not saying a word. "You know I'm not talking to myself..." Tsukishima then put a hand and patted her head, "yeah, I know."

Liar. There was no way you could prove it. You just wanted out of here the same way she did. But why couldn't that happen? Because she has been mentally unstable, the same way you, Tsukishima Kei, had been as well.

"Well, are you coming for breakfast or not? I don't have time to wait here all day, (Last name)." Shaking her head, her (hair colour) hair lightly brushed on top of her face. "Of course, I'd have to wash up first."

"Then speed it up. You don't understand how long you take." Puffing out her cheeks, she threw off her cover and leaped out of her bed. She happened to be roommates with one of the most 'popular' of the bunch. This was only because she and he had been one of the first here, and the amount entered in had been on the increase ever since. A lot can happen in just one year.

After finishing her little 'wash up', which had only taken a good three minutes, she slipped on a familiar looking, white uniform. Tsukishima already seemed about ready, but (First name) knew he was purposely tardy to any student gatherings. "Um, (Last name)-san, Ts-Tsukishima-kun..." A sweet but quiet voice called from outside the door. "Food's almost ready..."

"You mean it's not ready yet?" The tall male clicked his tongue, talking in such a rude manner. "Uh, well... yeah... Yachi-sensei woke up late, so breakfast was delayed a bit..." That's when you opened the door, looking up to the female who had been avoiding any type of eye contact. Tsukishima then sighed, and walked out.

This was when Ren's eyes glanced at his, before looking back over to the ground. "Hey, Yoshida... What's the matter?" Her expression softening, she shrugged carelessly. "I don't even know why I'm here... What's the point in going to the gathering." Her eyes widened, "what am I afraid of-"

Looking her straight in the eyes, you took hold of her hand. That's when she stopped, and she smiled, "sorry, sorry, (Last name)-san." Loosening your grip, you sighed awfully relieved. She then stretched, "we can't let Tsukishima-kun get there before us, let's go!" Chuckling at the same time, the two girls then headed towards the dining hall, the place everyone seemed to get together.

Yoshida Ren seemed to have a problem everyone thought to be a mental disorder. In reality, she did, in fact, have a power the same way almost everyone in this institution had. At least, that's what you thought. The rest of the students believed she had intense mood swings, or a multi-personality disorder, and that seems to be the reason she had been sent to a place like this. Why not?

The guy you didn't like, Kuroo Tetsurou, could control the minds of anyone he wanted, so couldn't Ren's situation be the same? After all, she didn't seem like the type to go crazy. She was too sane for that. In the same sense, no one could use their special ability on (Last name) (First name). Was that your power?

It's a pretty useful one indeed. But could that explain the voice in your head that occurs only when you fall asleep? No way. That was no excuse. The one and only reason you had been sent to a mental institution had been because you were mental yourself. Not because of a power the government wanted to hide away.

This way, no one would believe them for as long as they were in here. No one from the outside world. And that might just be forever. "Ah, Yoshi-kun!" The girl then turned to have her eyes meet with Hikaru, and she halted.

"Yo, Ayumu-san, Konimi-san," Ren smiled mischievously, "how are you two?" (First name) also then stopped, waiting for the three other girls. "Well, how are you, Yoshida-san?" Cosette asked, getting quite the answer back. "I suddenly have the urge to see Suga-san..."

"H-Hey- why would you want to see a jerk like that?" Hikari knitted her eyebrows together, her face a little red. "Well-"

Tugging on Ren's black sleeve, you intently stared into her eyes. "Right, right," the girl grabbed your hand, "we have breakfast to attend!" Waving them off, the two looked at eachother quite strangely. "That girl is so weird," the blonde sighed, as the brunette megane chuckled slightly. "She can't be weirder than you, Konimi-chan."

After saying a few hellos here and there, (First name) finally managed to make it to the (rather large) table. "Ah- Good morning, Yoshida-san, (Last name)-san," a familiar seaweed green haired figure greeted, looked over their shoulders. "Where's Tsukki?"

"He was-" After looking around, you couldn't see the lanky male anywhere. "Strange," Ren had more of a calmer feel on, "he came down here before us."

"Late as always," a black haired female remarked, one eye being covered with her hair. "I think Tsukishima-kun is pretty punctual, Resu," the tall girl's face heated up a bit, her voice a little shaky and her eyes glued to the ground. "How so?"

"W-well..."

"Tsukki is not a tardy person!" Yamaguchi added on to Ren's comment. "Whatever you say~" Resu sang, a little carelessness lingered in her tone. Realizing Ren's mistake, she made up the excuse of seeing Yachi, the in-training manager of the institution. After she left, Yamaguchi kind of just... followed her.

"Do you think she likes the bastard?" The black haired female huffed. "Who knows." You crossed your arms, looking around. The building was indeed huge.

Tsukishima Kei could be anywhere. "Ah- Resu-chan!!!" Another black haired female, though shorter, jumped onto the older female, making her lean back. "Hey, cut it out, Mitsu!" The shorter figure then hopped off, and pouted.

"How mean," she then grabbed a hold on to you. "(First name)-chan, why do you think she's so mean to me?" Resu rolled her eyes to the comment, "I'm leaving."

"W-What?! Let me come with you at least-"

"Absolutely not," she walked off, having the other Hinata follow. A little relieved to see the two finally gone, you were about to get a little intel on your roommate. "Good morning, (Last name)-san."

"Oh, good morning, Suga." You waved back, seeing both Sugawara and Yaku walking side by side. "Strange not seeing Daichi beside you."

"Is it? He woke up just now," the platinum blonde pointed to the direction of his dorm, which he shared with the other male. "Well, you always do hang out with Daichi-san," Yaku commented, "but I'd expect you to wake him up."

"I did- I really did try!" The one name Suga defended, "He just wouldn't get up." You then happened to raise an eyebrow, a little suspicious. "Fine. He seemed so... calm when he was asleep. That's all."

"You see; when Sugamama wakes you up, you really do wake up. There is no in between." Raising a finger, you sounded more like a scholar than a 17 year old. "What's that supposed to mean," he chuckled sweetly, giving the brightest smile you've seen all month. "She means you went easy on Daichi. Well, not that it matters now." Yaku grinned quite cutely.

"Oi, Yaku!" A cat like male you happened to dislike bounced out of nowhere. "What is it, Kuroo?"

"Ah- isn't it the lovely (Last name)~"

"Yeah. It's me. What about it?" You said a little saltier than usual. "I don't see you often nowadays. That's all." Rolling your eyes, you mumbled in a low tone to yourself, "gee. I wonder why.."

"Anyways, Yaku. Have you seen Kenma up and about anywhere? I can't seem to find the fella."

"Actually," Yaku's eyes trailed to the kitchen area, "he said he would be in there." Kuroo's nose then scrunched up, "huh, why? That's odd."

"Right?"

"Why is that odd? Maybe he'd like to help out every once in a while." Sugawara tried turning the conversation around with his optimism. "No, no, you got it all wrong about Kenma." The tall, black haired, feline like male breathed, "knowing Kenma, he probably wants a peaceful area to play his POP."

"Hey, if Kenma is in the kitchen, why not go?" You gave more of a sarcastic smile, almost like you were shooing him away. Sticking out his tongue, he turned around to leave. "Just what I wanted to do."

"Good." Sugawara and Yaku then sighed at the child like behavior. "Well, (Last name)-san, we'll be well on our way then." You happened to give a stern nod, before turning the other way as well. "Hey, (Last name)!"

A familiar voice caught your attention, but you've known many so you spun around towards the source anyway. "What is it, Satsuki-san?"

"Have you seen Tsukishima anywhere? I can't seem to find him." The creamy blonde asked, making you slow blink. "Oh? So curious to see where he is now, aren't we?"

"H-Hey, don't be a jerk..! H-He has something of mine, and I just w-want it back!" Smirking, you then circled the female. "And what's this he has? It's your heart-?!"

"Shut up!!!" She playfully hit your back as Mei's face turned a bright tomato colour. "Sorry, sorry," you wiped a tear, "I can't help it sometimes, you know? Especially since two of my adorable youngsters keep going at it."

"Ew. You sound like an old man. Seriously. We're only a year younger than you." Mei deadpanned with her expression. "Oh, I got it," she then put her hand up, "(Last name)-ojiisan."

"Okay, I'm sorry- so stop with the weird names, Satsuki-san."

"Whatever." She then sighed, "can you just tell me where he is?" Putting your hands up innocently, (First name) shook her head. "Apologizing for the third time now. I can't seem to find the idiot either."

"You're serious? Ugh, I just wasted my life here talking with you."

"How rude! You take that back!" Trying to sneak away, she smiled, "just kidding~" You chuckled a few times before a certain manager of the building encountered Mei and you. "Please head to the dining table. We have an important announcement to make." Satsuki Mei then looked directly at you, before you both looked back at Kiyoko.

"Alright," she nodded, having the higher-up leave. They only called people to the table themselves when they have something to say. Otherwise, you'd be required to come to breakfast and dinner, but they wouldn't kill you for not going. Deciding to listen to your senpai, you were about to sit at the table with no objection. There, you took a seat next to both Kurobayashi Shiro and Suzuki Aya.

"Good morning, Kuroba-san, Suzuki-san."

"Like wise, (Last name)-san."

"Good morning to you, too, (Last name)-chan!" Aya smiled sweetly before quieting herself down. Taking a good glance around, you noticed someone that hasn't been down at the table much, and someone who hasn't been at the table at all. Where did Tsukishima Kei go? Yeah, he hated the gathering, but even he wasn't bold enough to skip out on it.

The other male was one you were sure you haven't seen. And if you had, it was only once a while ago. He seemed more like a snake than a human being, with a very joyous face on, and a glare that could kill. That gaze was upon the one and only, Kuroo Tetsurou. That took your attention until Kimiko, Kageyama's older sister waved from across the table.

That's when Yachi and Kiyoko came in, quieting the bunch down. "So, what do you think it is?" The one named Aya quietly whispered to you, and so you thought. "I'm honestly unsure," in a low voice, "it could be anything at this point. They could announce something about our powers or-" That's when you were quieted down by Jun, a specific male on the table. He waved down to (Last name), desperately trying to get her attention.

All so she could shut up. Well, it's not like you could disagree. They did not care if someone disrupted- that's only their loss. But Jun was right. It was probably something important- something you should probably pay attention to.

"Sorry, (Last name)-chan," Aya apologized in a low, soft tone. All you did was simply nod and forgive. It wasn't like it was just her fault. "I know it's been a while since we've had an announcement like this," Hana Misaki, another one of the managers of the institution did the talking. "And it's not a big deal either, for all of you who are curious."

The room suddenly went calmer. Why? Was everyone on edge except for you? "We'd like to introduce a new student here. Since they happen to need a whole room for themselves, they won't particularly need a roommate."

"B-But that doesn't mean he doesn't need friends. P-Please be nice to him!" A short blonde added on, hesitating with her words. They all made it seem more urgent than it needs to be. There was no need for calling everyone down, and making the atmosphere as awkward as such. "Have a seat, Lev Haiba-san."

That's when a figure walked from behind Kiyoko. Most probably taller than Tsukishima Kei and Jun Yamazaki themselves. Er- maybe not as tall as Jun... He had grey, almost silver hair due to the metallic sheen it gave. The one labelled 'Lev' gave off a 'happy-go-lucky' aura because of the grin he managed to pull off.

Scanning through the crowd with his cat-like, green eyes, his gaze landed upon you somehow. "Have a nice day guys," Hana smiled, and then left. "Fate- this must be fate, right?!" He beamed, grinning the brightest in the room. "Goodness, we have a weird one..." Ennoshita sighed, his hand on his head.

"How so?" Kageyama and Hinata both said at the same time, before getting weirded out by themselves. "Me?" You mumbled in a very low voice, shortly after pointing towards yourself. "How about introducing yourself first, yeah?"

A voice managed to ask, and it had been from the one and only, Tanaka. "My, where are my manners?" Lev then smiled, and put a hand to his chest, "I'm Lev Haiba! I just transferred here today-"

"No kidding," another blonde given the name Atia scoffed, "why are you here?"

"Why... am I here?" Lev then slanted his eyebrows, "why else am I here? I mean, I have something wrong with my head-"

"There's no reason to lie, Lev," Daichi smiled. "Besides, none of us here are really, you know, mental." That made the newbie's eyes light up, "you mean, there are more people like me?"

"If you're talking about people who have powers, then yes," Kaori nodded. "But if you happened to murder someone, get framed for it, and are emotionally unstable, then you've also come to the right place."

"Kaori-san, what the hell?" (First name) clicked her tongue, looking to see if a specific blonde hadn't been around. "I'm just saying. It's only a matter of time until he figures out the truth about the only member that isn't here. Isn't that a little fishy?"

"I think Kaori-san has a point," pudding head on the other side spoke, "why isn't he here if he never misses a day? There shouldn't be another reason for that other than not wanting the new kid to know..."

"What they're trying to say doesn't mean they're blaming Tsukishima-san, don't get them wrong," Tsubasaki Hitori defended the two. You stayed silent. It's not like you wanted in on anymore to say- no, you had nothing else to say. "Guys, guys. You're making Lev-san uncomfortable," Sugawara broke the ice between everyone on the table. Looking for somewhere to look, your eyes stumbled upon Yamaguchi and Ren who had been giving you a thumbs up.

"Come on, sit down anywhere," Nishinoya welcomed, as the grey haired male started to walk to your side of the table. Not only that, but had been bold enough to ask Shiro to move over, all so he could sit next to you. (First name) tried her best not to look over her shoulder. That would make things a ton more awkward than it should be. "How about we introduce ourselves now?"

Hikari smiled, getting almost a nod from almost everyone. What a shame, really. Tsukishima is usually here when they introduce- No, he's always there. "I'll start," Ayumu Hikari stood up.

"My name is Ayumu Hikari. I look forward to spending time with you, Lev-kun." She then sat back down, and then someone else spoke. "Was that really necessary? How more formal can you get?" Sugawara asked, making the female megane fire back at him. "I-I'm Yoshida Ren... I'm not all that great with introductions, but it really is nice to meet you, Lev-san."

"Like wise," he smiled back. "Yo, I'm Hinata Mitsu, the twin sister of this kid over there," she then pointed at the ginger next to herself. "Always nice to see a new face."

"I'm Hoshikawa Fumiko. It's a pleasure to meet you," Fumiko then bowed, getting the same from Lev. "Konimi Cosette," a quiet voice introduced, "nice to meet you."

"I'm Satsuki Mei. I don't think there's much to say given the fact that we're both pretty new here, but let's get along anyways."

"I'm Kageyama Kimiko, and this is my younger twin siblings, Kageyama Tobio and Kageyama Mae. Let's all get along."

"Name's Ernestine Atia. Good to meet you."

"Hello, I'm Yamazaki Jun! May we both get along, Lev-kun!"

"I'm Sugawara Kaoru. I think my name says pretty much all."

"Hey, I'm Kaori Tsuya! It's a pleasure to see you, Lev."

"I'm Sasaki Hitomi. It's nice to meet you."

"I'm Niko Kenshi," a girl spoke, "nice to meet you..."

"My name is Tachibana Yuki. It's nice to meet you, Lev Haiba."

"Name's Noakui Resu. You better remember it." Another girl threatened, making Lev bow down, "o-of course!"

"I'm just messing around. It's nice to meet you," Resu chuckled. "I'm Koharu Kinoshita. It's nice to meet you!"

"My name is Sekiguchi Hotaru, and it's a great opportunity to meet you, Lev-san!"

"I'm Tenshi Samantha," she then bowed, "nice seeing you."

"I'm Koizumi Rei."

"Shiyomiya Mei. It's nice to meet you."

"My name is Asha Hannagen- it's nice to meet you."

"Fuchiyo Akari. It's nice to meet you!"

"Ah, I'm Tsubasaki Hitori. It's a real pleasure to get to meet you."

"Kudokawa Hikari~ Nice to meet you."

"I'm Arisu Kisaragi. Nice to meet you, Lev-san."

"My name is Kurobayashi Shiro. I hope we can get along." But now, it was your turn. "I'm-"

"I already know who you are," Lev mumbled, eyes only on you. Shaking it off, you decided to say it anyways, "my name is (Last name) (First name). I hope we get to know eachother further, Lev-san." And last, but not least, "S-Suzuki Aya! I look forward to our time together!" After everyone introduced themselves, Yamaguchi did the honors of introducing Tsukishima in his own stead. You did get something out of this though.

The person you haven't seen had been Daishou Suguru. His reasons for coming down today? 'Things are about to get interesting'. What did it mean? (First name) had no clue.

"Oh, you need a plate, Lev," Yaku noticed, "I'll go ahead and grab you one-"

"I could get it myself, there's no need," he smiled. How was he going to do that? There was a lot of things you couldn't understand today. "But the plates are on the other side of the table," Aya pointed out. Just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder, this beanpole stretched his arm far enough to grab a plate.

Shocked, no one could say anything. They've all seen eachother do inhumane things, but- "What the hell- you're tall enough," you couldn't seem to stay calm, "but you have Elasticity as a power?"

"I'd rather not have it, actually," Lev shoved a spoon into his porridge. Making eye contact, you just couldn't pull away. He happened to get closer to your face, and his green eyes softened. "You're pretty like always, (First name)-san." Eyes furrowing downwards, you questioned very politely, "what do you mean..?"

"Do... you really not-"

"I told you to stay down!!" A very forceful voice ordered, making your head almost snap off. It had been coming from the entrance, and everyone had stood up. "Guys, calm down!" (First name) put a hand back.

"I'll check it out."

"You're crazy for thinking you'll go alone," Sugawara tried to stop you. Taking one quick glance back at everyone else, she rushed over to the entrance. There, everyone had followed you. "Tsukishima-kun?!" Ren yelled in shock, realizing that he had been pinned against a wall by an officer, and was midst getting handcuffed.

"Tsukishima? What the hell is going on?" You breathed, taking a good look at the situation. Indeed, the lanky blonde had been getting arrested. "H-He didn't do it- officer, please-"

"Every single one of you has no right to defend this asshole here." Tsukishima clicked his tongue, and gritted his teeth. "What's going in here?" Kiyoko came from behind, along with Yachi and Hana. That's when you took a step closer, and tried to calm the police down.

"How about we talk this through?" You stated, before the officer pointed his gun towards you. "Anyone get any closer than this, and I'll shoot."

"Why are you doing this?" Mei clenched her fists, eyes tearing up the slightest bit. "Why you ask," the man grinned, "because I can." The short blonde then swallowed hard, "e-everyone, let's all calm down now-"

"This is all your fault, Yachi-sensei!" Yamamoto shouted, "you brought in Lev so Tsukishima could get taken unnoticed!" Lev knitted his eyebrows, "what do you mean?"

"I mean, you're obviously on their side! How else could you come in at the perfect time?" He continued, getting quite the few on his side. Tanaka then glared daggers at the new kid, "if this is true, a bastard is getting a beating!" You took the opportunity while everyone was fighting to try and get closer to Tsukishima. "I said I'd shoot- What part don't you get?!"

You suddenly froze, and Tsukishima started to struggle. "If you're arresting me, arrest me, damnit! Don't get her involved!"

"Shut the hell up! What don't any of you understand?!" The officer then hit the blonde with the back of the gun. Seeing his body suddenly go limp made your blood boil for some odd reason. And it wasn't just (First name), it was also everyone else.

"How can you say that?! I'm just here like anyone of you are! Besides, how can you be so sure he's innocent?" The tall male defended himself, making your eyes widen. "Guys- please! Something bad is about to happen!" Asahi snapped some out of their thoughts, but you and some others couldn't help but ignore. "Lev-san, I really wanted to think you were a good guy," you looked downwards.

"But hearing what you just said makes me think otherwise." All of a sudden, a faint laughter shut everyone up. "Is Daishou... laughing?" Resu's eyebrows met, earning quite the answer. "Sorry, sorry," Daishou wiped a tear, "everyone continue on."

But that couldn't change the fact that he was still laughing. "That son of a b***h is laughing," Kuroo's expression twisted. "I've had enough!" Hinata's tone darkened, and Sugawara shook his head after realizing what was about to happen. "Hinata, don't-"

"Shoyou-nii,  please-"

Before anyone knew it, he was already about to run at him, the officer. "R-Restrain!" Yachi held her hands out, seizing Hinata's movements. It all happened too quickly. The officer pointing his gun at Hinata Shoyou.

Or Sugawara jumping in front of the ginger, you couldn't decided what shocked you first. "Sugawara-san, watch-" That's when a loud bang made their blood run cold. "No... I-I didn't mean to..." Yachi covered her mouth, tears slowly running down her face.

Your knees all of a sudden felt weak, and you fell. Hinata hesitated to turn his head, made eye contact with (First name). Everything and everyone just went silent, and it stayed like that. Only until the officer realized his mistake. Only after you started to cough up blood.

Sugawara had this awful look on his face, "(Last name)-san, I..."

"(First name)-chan, oh my God!" Lev rushed to your side, but you fell before that. "Sombody call the ambulance- Sh e's  b e en..." You suddenly couldn't hear much anymore. All you knew is that you had been in Lev's tight embrace, and couldn't move an inch.

"(First name)-chan, hold on," was all she heard behind sobs. When everything went black, you knew that it was probably the end. "Please," Lev couldn't stop his tears, and continued to put pressure on your neck, where the blood had been gushing out. "(F-First name)-chan?" He couldn't help but realize you weren't there anymore and put his head on yours, his tears falling like there was no stop.

"Please... I can't lose you again."

A/N)) Woo- after all that procrastination and tears and sweat- I'm just joking xD

I got the entered first two chapters done. They're both merged into this one, but I couldn't end it off in the middle so that's why.

I humbly apologize if I got any character too off. I promised I wouldn't but it's harder than it sounds, you know?

Also, if your character didn't have a big role, don't worry. It's only the 2nd chapter out of God knows how many, and each one has their own story to tell.
