Prologue
And, in the darkness, light shined. For once, there was light at the end of a long, never-ending tunnel. The light had a face; had a body had a smile, had a heart, had a mind, the light was something to me. Imagine, you were in sadness forever. Your entire life was just one misfortune after another, you were wading through quicksand, trying desperately to get a gasp of air, grasping at straws and trying to claw your way out. And then someone pulled you out. Looked you in the eye and said "you'll be okay," and then you started believing them.
Soon, that person turned showed you the world; new emotions, new experiences, and ultimately a new life. You trusted this person with all your heart, you ignored every little speck of logic when it came to them. You were on your knees, crawling for them, bowing, grovelling for them, just to be in their presence made you feel feelings you thought you'd never feel.
And then they broke you.
One day you would be together and stumble upon the pit of quicksand they pulled you out of. You trusted this person with your life, and you felt you needed to tell them about your experience with the quicksand. You started talking about it, pouring your heart out, and then they kicked you into the pit of sand. They shoved you back inside and you felt so weak, so shocked, you sunk deep into the sand without a second thought. No thrashing or wailing, no screaming, no crying or begging. You just sunk.
All air was pulled out of your lungs at a frequent pace, you forgot. The world went black. At least, you'd think as you were breathing your last breaths of air, if I'd stayed in the pit I wouldn't have died heartbroken, maybe I'd still be alive.
The pit was sadness.
Breath was happiness.
"Them" was Ladybug/Marinette.
And me?
I'm Chat Blanc.
